My sister was a resident of Brightview White Marsh. She was there about 10 years, so I don't think she ever would have lived that long had she not been there. There were activities. Each week, there were a significant number of activities. The people who worked there were very kind and very patient because she could get a little upset at times, but they were very good with her. And I thought she got very good care. The staff knew who she was. They knew that she could not be cooperative all the time, but they were very patient with her. If she didn't want to go someplace, she didn't go. The facility was always clean, things were always in order, and the people seemed to be very happy with things. The one thing I liked is that in the last one or two years she was in the memory care wing, they had this neat aquarium, and it was just very peaceful to sit there and watch the fish. I think it was a neat thing to have. They did have a courtyard or patio to go outside. And I know in the assisted living part they had somebody that did hair. I think they also did it for memory care.

My mother-in-law moved into Brightview White Marsh a month ago, and she's adjusting very well. It's been a great experience for her, and she's starting to settle in. It has a lovely dining room experience for the residents. The rooms are different sizes. Her room is beautiful. The staff has been very courteous. They're extremely nice. They have someone there to do assistance and they do have different levels of care depending on what assistance the resident needs. They have activities every day. They have games, they have activity rooms, and they have a piano room. They can have their primary care there. They have dermatologists on staff, and they have psychiatric assistance if it's needed. They have a beauty parlor. They have no reason to leave. They have a smaller private dining room if the residents want their family to come up and have dinner with them. They have a happy hour every day. It's just all rounded. They have a nice facility for the social aspect as well.

I was really impressed with Brightview White Marsh. There were tons of residents out, going back and forth, doing different things, and the vibrancy. I was really, really impressed with how vibrant the local facility was. It was friendly. The residents were all giving good reports, acknowledging me as a potential resident for my father. They stopped and spoke to me and the person that was doing the tour, but the cost was more than what our budget could allow. The staff was very personable, very friendly, and very helpful. She's been there for quite some time. She knew the residents, she knew the facility, and I was impressed. The facilities were very nice, the common area for dining, for activities, for showering and bathing. I have seen spaces, like the health care providers when they come in, or they can bring the patients to a specific area and do whatever routine or medical assistance that they need to provide. The courtyard was very nice, the facility was just very nice.

Brightview of White Marsh is a very nice location, and it's the one where I moved my mom. So far, it's been really good. Her room is very nice, and they have a lot of activities. They have music, they play bingo, they do arts and crafts, and they have quite a bit. When I called her today, she was eating dinner with two other residents, so she's made friends there in a short period of time. And compared to the one she was at before, she seems to be doing much better. I haven't tried the food, but my mom hasn't complained about it. In terms of value for the money, they have a promotion going on.

Me and my family visited 4 facilities looking for a place for my wife who fell and broke her right hip and also has Dimensiia. She now requires full time care and assistance. We selected Brightview Assisted living, Wellspring village for people with dimensia as our best option. This facility has great care and provides daily activities for those who are able to participate. The daily diet selection is great. We are very well satisfied with our choice to date. My wife has been in this facility for almost 3 Months.

We liked Brightview of White Marsh, but it's too expensive for my parents. It was clean, and the people seemed fine. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. We saw that their apartments were clean and a nice size with plenty of room. The dining area also looks welcoming and friendly.

My relative needs Blood drawn every 4 weeks because of heart valve surgery and on Coumadin.he is taken on the bus with a friendly and caring driver to his health care Building at no extra cost. he has exercises daily, he loves the large TV screen, Bingo, music and many entertaiinments. the staff are like family. Executives have changed often, but they are all great. Frequent entertainment programs with families are always great. Food is delicious and dining staff are # 1. also medicine and house keeping staff are well trained and friendly. A real HOME.

Early in 2015, Brightview White Marsh, along with four other facilities, were visited while looking for an assisted care facility for Mom. I was impressed with the appearance of Brightview White Marsh. The grounds were well cared for, the building was imposing and the staff members were friendly. The family made the decision to make this Moms new home. BAD DECISION. On the plus side, the food has been good and the common areas are maintained nicely. They planned to, and did, undertake major renovations throughout to this already attractive facility. We were lulled into our decision to go with Brightview by appearance only. If you or your loved ones are independent and require minimal assistance, this facility has real merits. They have a very nice dining room, large lounging area (I was impressed with the large fireplace, piano and comfy chairs), entertainment, activities, etc. However, if you require a higher degree of care, look elsewhere. Management oversight is virtually non-existent. Of the 9 senior staff members present when we entered the facility, only 4 remained when we left 18 months later (and some Director level positions had turned over more than once). Although the hallways and common areas were fresh and clean, the rooms of residents with incontinence issues always smelled strongly of urine and this was not only in our room. Complaints presented by various families, during the periodic evening meetings between the family and senior staff, went unaddressed. We frequently complained about the rough handling, lack of baths and lack of response to pendant calls. Mom frequently fell while transferring between bed & chair & wheelchair. She told the family that when she pushed the call button, no one showed up to help her. She is independent and we thought that she was being impatient. After being told that to resolve the falling problem we must hire a full time “sitter” for Mom that would cost in excess of $100,000/year ($25/hr. x 12 hrs./day x 365 days/yr.) plus expenses, we personally monitored the Brightview call response. We found that what Mom was telling us was true. There is no reason why it should take well in excess of 1 hour to respond to a pendant call or why a sufficient number of TRAINED RAs aren’t available at all times to attend to the needs of residents or why it takes a minimum of 2 persons to transfer her while the rehab facility that she was in a month before finally leaving Brightview only required one person and that person didn’t injure her. My initial series of complaints finally led to an investigation with dismissals and the hiring of additional staff, but the problem shortly reoccurred. We finally relocated Mom to a “home based” Assisted Living facility that houses a maximum of 15 residents per home. The care is outstanding, the facility is spotless without any displeasing odor and the residents are HAPPY. Mom is finally clean and well cared for.

I really liked Brightview. The only thing they didn't have was the respite facility where one could go in and have a 30-day trial, but I was very impressed with the overall appearance and the cleanliness of the facility. The staff was very good. I was very impressed with the people, and they seemed to be doing different things. It just seemed like a nice, polite place. They told me that they had a chef there that prepares food for the patients, and I would like that, too. They had a dining room and area where they do activities and crafts.

I visited Brightview White Marsh for my brother-in-law. This is close to my residence. That was a very nice facility but a bit more expensive. That would have been my second choice for him. The facility was very nice and clean. The staff seemed very nice too.

Brightview Assisted Living is as it says "BRIGHT" you walk into a light filled spacious gathering area where the receptionist is always ready with a smile. Activities line the day and the facility is well kept inside and out. There is a Memory Care Unit, "Wellspring Village" where it is as bright and clean and friendly as the regular assisted living areas, only safer and no security bracelets on your loved one's ankle. Your loved one cannot slip out the front door, but can go out to a gated courtyard anytime. They have their own apartment not a shared bedroom space.. The employees are compassionate, friendly and helpful to the residents and their families. the facility is open 24/7 to family (you have to be buzzed in and out after 8pm)

Brightview is a very nice assisted living environment. The apartments are very well laid out and intuitive for the occupants. Although my father wasn't exactly happy with moving in here and wanted to be on his own he found the apartment very nice and easy to adjust to. The care givers are exceptionally warm and very friendly with the residents which also made it much easier for my father to acclimate. The care he has received at Brightview has been great and since they specialize in memory loss and dementia care it is exactly what my father needed. The nurses spend a good amount of the day with my father and check in on him throughout the night. If they think his situation is getting worse they make sure to get a doctor in to look at him. While he has his own apartment my father also has access to community areas where he can talk with others living there, play games or watch television. My father is never alone and that is important for him at this time.
