I'm in Coastal Landing. I think it's wonderful. Very friendly people. Meals are wonderful. Accommodations are great. The organization of activities is fantastic. They have local transportation. They have bingo, book clubs, crafts, arts, and local shopping trips. They have a library, activity room, chapel, theater, multiple living rooms, meetings, family gatherings, group gatherings, and a very fine dining room.

Coastal Landing was a wonderful community. They had senior apartments, which were very nice. Everything was fresh and had new paint. The whole facility was lovely. The staff during the tour was wonderful, answered all our questions, and very pleasant. I saw her interact with other residents there, always in a pleasant way. Then the residents reacted to her in a friendly way. I could tell that she had contact with them. The dining area was like a high-class restaurant. It looked like a ballroom with tables with tablecloths. It was very nice, and the menu was exquisite. They had a gymnasium, a spa, a movie theater, a big room set up where they can play cards, and another room where they can do arts and crafts. There had very nice grounds where they had activities to do outside. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It was very lovely. They also have a beauty parlor there and a little area where you can buy things, like tissue paper.

Coastal Landing was terrific. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was affordable. It was a great place for my mother to live. They had an exercise room, all kinds of activities, art classes, meeting groups, and they get musicians in there. It was a wonderful place. Meals were included and as far as I know, my mother loved them.

Coastal Shores Assisted Living was very unappealing. It was so sad and depressing. We took our parents there together. They showed us the room that was like a hospital room. There was no spark, it was like doomsday, and I was quite surprised. I know that they have private apartments, people like those and they're very reasonable. But the assisted living part of it is the opposite, very contrary. We approached the dining room and we just didn't want our parents to see it. It was more of a nursing home-style, people were being fed. It wasn't like assisted living where you can go and have a conversation, it was very sad and depressing. If they had at least a room to show, as opposed to an empty hospital room with nothing bright and inviting. Nobody would want to spend their last days there. It was so uninviting, if they could just have a room that looks like somebody lived in it that they could show, would be much more inspiring. This was another big thing, my mother's in a wheelchair, and you'd think that they'd be accommodating to that. But this place wasn't; they only had a few rooms with bathrooms that could accommodate a wheelchair. I was really surprised because it wasn't an upscale place, they have a lot of main care people there because it's low income. I would suggest that they make all their bathrooms accommodating to a wheelchair.

Coastal Shores was excellent. It was very clean, inviting, warm, comfortable and cozy. It's just like being in a hotel. It was very beautiful. We met with the administrator and also had staff we interacted with. They have an ice cream parlor. They have a coffee café room. They have live music once a week, movie nights, outings every Thursday, and morning and afternoon walks. The list goes on; it's fabulous.

Coastal Landing is great. My father loves it. They have cribbage, art classes, and exercise classes. The staff has been excellent. They offer two meals a day, and cable is included. They have a barber shop and a movie theater. They can give you resources if your loved one needs any help with their medication, and they can deliver meals.
