Holly Court Assisted Living is just a great fit for my mom. Everything is beautiful. The facilities are updated and modern. The staff is phenomenal. They take great care of her. The food is excellent. It's got a good variety, and it's delicious. They have plenty of things for the residents to do. There's a calendar full of stuff. My mom does bingo and some other things. It's just a bit pricey.

Holly Court Assisted Living is a very nice place. Holly Court is a very nice place. They had an area where they created stuff, where you do different pictures. I liked that. They were also very professional, friendly, kind, and wheelchair accessible. The food was good, I'm a big eater, and I tested everybody's food. I went around lunchtime for that purpose, so they invited me to come around that time. They have games.

My brother is staying at Holly Court Memory Care, and we have decided on that place because it was $1500-to-$2000 cheaper than the rest of the places. I also had friends and another family member who have their family there, and they really raved about it. The staff is very nice. Everybody looked very happy and they're very attentive. My brother loves the food, and they've been giving him double portions since they say he can eat. The facility is clean. You can't smell any urine or Clorox. It just smells like a house, and the whole place really smells good, even the memory care section. The building looks very pretty and very classy, and they keep it up very nicely. The yard is pretty too. He's in the memory care, and I know that they provide him with snacks and hydration. They make ice cream and they're always in the room watching TV together, so they always make sure that he's active. All these things are geared for COVID restrictions, so the other activities have not started coming back. But they usually take them on a ride in a van, take them to Walmart, and that kind of stuff.

Amber Terrace Assisted Living was OK. It was just not as nicely finished out as the other place I visited. The people were nice, but the facility was kind of so-so. I didn't meet with any residents, I just met with the person giving me the tour as far as staff. The one apartment I looked at was sort of a hodgepodge put-together apartment. It was strangely put together; it was like they made two apartments into one. The cabinets were not very nice. I know they had a dining room. I don't remember what else they offered. Everybody's under lockdown right now, so there's limited interaction among residents and staff and everybody.

We just moved my dad into Amber Terrace. It is hard to say that I like it already, but so far, so good. My family likes it. My dad likes the food; it's good. They have a variety of activities from exercises to mental activities to excursions. Cleanliness and maintenance look good. All the staff members have been very nice.

Amber Trace was nice but cramped. There weren't any grounds, just parking lots.

Amber Terrace was a nice living facility. It’s somewhat close to my hous -- just a hop off the interstate. The only room I looked at was a studio, and it was fine.

My parents are in Amber Trace right now. It looks good and like a plantation-type place. I feel like my parents are well cared for there. They seem to be looking after them every time one of them falls. I’ve been pleased so far. They have a calendar full of activities for them to do if they want to do it. I haven’t tried eating there, but my parents seem to like the food.

We were in the Alzheimer’s or Dementia unit at Amber Terrace, and I did not find that they could cope with any type of dementia like any outbursts. If they had anything that was not a perfect day, they may want to either get you or bring them to the hospital. Several times, my dad was given his night medicine at 4:30. The girls there were really nice; it was more of the higher level employees that were harder to deal with. The rooms were nice, but he fell five times, and he has bruising in his legs. They had everybody come look at it, and no one knew anything about it. They said they had never seen the bruised in his legs. I know that they get very small portions with the food, and they are not really given any more. It didn’t look bad, he sat with the table with all of the men, and I was really surprised that each one of them have this really tiny amount of food. They have a calendar full of their activities; they said they have a music hour, and these were not going on. It says someone has to play the guitar, but they were just all sitting in that little room waiting for dinner. They were just sitting around four around two hours. They were supposed to go outside, and I have never seen that.

We had placed my father-in-law at Amber Terrace. They just had excellent care, and they cared about their residents. His room was adequate for handicapped individuals. I think the food could have been a tad bit better, but overall it’s good.

This facility was well kept up and very clean. At first I always thought that nursing homes were a bad thing and that I would never put my parents in a nursing home because I feared they wouldn't be taken care of. I feared that they would be treated like trash and nothing. A visit to this facility put a whole new perspective in my mind. It showed me that there were some good nursing home facilities out there. I really enjoyed the workers at the facility. They have really good relationships with each other and with the patients. They treated these patients like they were their own moms, dads, grandmothers, and grandfathers. I would recommend this facility to everyone if you have to take that route. On a scale from one to ten I would rate the overall facility an eight. I have been to others and they were horrible. I really like this facility and this would be my choice if I had to put my parents into a nursing home.

My mother in law has been a resident for over 2 years. They are one of the few assisted living facilities that offer a separate area for those residents with dementia issues, called Memory Lane. It is nice to know that we will not have to change facilities as her Alzheimer's advances. Administration and staff are wonderful!
