My mother has moved into Lake Sherwood Village. It wasn't a great match, but it's in our budget and it's adequate for what we needed. The layout is nice. It's pretty spread out, but it's a fairly large facility. They have a little chapel for religious services, but it's too small for Catholic mass, so they have to do Catholic mass out in an open activity room. Overall, it's OK. The food is good. It's not an assisted living. It's a retirement place and they contracted a healthcare company that does the assistance.

I saw Lakewood Sherwood Village for a tour. I like it. It was clean, pretty, roomy, and nice. The tour was great. The staff showed me how well the room was set up. She didn't have an empty one right then, but she took me to one to let me see how it looked and how the furniture could be put in. I went to the kitchen, and you can either eat in their room if they want or eat in the dining room. I looked at the grounds. It was very open, very clean, and there was lots of light. It was a great place. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. She was great. Gabby was really good. With regards to food, when you move there, you get breakfast and lunch. If you want supper or a snack, it might cost you a little more money.

I went to Lakewood Sherwood Village. The people were very nice, courteous, and friendly. We toured their model one-bedroom. I'm more interested in a two-bedroom. But the staff did show me a two-bedroom from one of the residents who's living next to the model one. But it was very positive. I was impressed with the physical appearance of the community. It seemed to be well-kept up. There was no odor. The staff was awesome.

I went to Lakewood Sherwood Village. The staff there was helpful and answered all my questions. The facility is very nice. They toured me around. They have a little library there, and they have scheduled activities. The building was up-to-date and kept very, very clean. They look modern.

Lake Sherwood Village was very nice. The apartment that we looked at was very nice. It was exactly what we were looking for, except for the age group of the people that were there. They were having activities at the time. Mainly the things that we liked were the grounds and the views from the apartments. The facility was very clean. There was plenty of access from the parking areas to get inside. We were looking for something where the residents were not quite as elderly. We decided that it was not for us, but there's nothing wrong with the facility. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I did not see any of the food. I saw the menus, and it all looked very good. There were libraries and reading areas in different parts of the facilities. They had areas for groups of people to get together or just on their own individually, play games, or watch television or movie. They also had activity rooms, but these were just for a few people that wanted to get together to play a game or put a puzzle together or something like that. There were at least two activity areas on each floor.

I visited Lake Sherwood Village for my mom, and it was very nice and very updated. It is very updated and plush. We were given food to take home and it was excellent. I only met one person there -- she showed us around, and she was very pleasant. The rooms were very nice. You will have a full kitchen. You have a small mini-galley kitchen, or you have a full-size stove and oven. There's a full-size refrigerator and microwave in it. It is a little more plush, but you are paying more to get it.

I thought Lake Sherwood was pretty nice. The rooms were large and laid out well. The grounds stood out, and they had a lake.

This is a very nice and clean place. I have not eaten there yet, but heard from one of the ladies that lives there it is very good. They do have a full kitchen in all their suites even the studio. They only give you two meals and you pay for your own electricity. Their people are very nice and friendly. Each living quarters has bay windows, which are so very nice, in the living room part.

Lake Sherwood Village was really nice and clean, but it was just an independent living community and no memory care. My mother would eventually need memory care, then my father would be left behind. The lady who showed us around was really nice. The lake behind the facility is pretty. The food was good.
