Welcome to Jackson House Apartments! W.B. Sanders Retirement Center offers affordable spacious studio apartments for qualified persons. With the elimination of home ownership and maintenance we enable older persons and disabled persons to live active, rewarding lives in an independent residential setting. W.B. Sanders Retirement Center lies on one city block bordered by 8th, 9th, Clark and Washington Streets. The site is adjacent to the Jackson House. It was opened in 1982 and owned and operated by the same sponsoring organizations. Our spacious studio units are sized to accommodate singles and couples in a comfortable living arrangement. Each studio dwelling has a step-in shower, large closets, a kitchen equipped with a built-in microwave, dishwasher, range and refrigerator. All units are being remodeled this year to include new windows, flooring and paint. We have an on-site coin operated laundry facility, a business center and a dining room for residents use.
