Holiday Jackson Oaks is beautiful on the inside. The facility is very clean. They had a lot of activities going on around there. There are chapel services and a library. They have therapy and bingo. The staff members were very nice.

Been here for about 3 years. Nice place and feel safe. All the employees are friendly as well. The upper staff .....although they stay busy...they seem to always make time to answer questions or help with an issue. The activity director Kelly has made several improvements since I've been here. Different excercise classes....new games as well as some of the old ones.....several entertainment folks, more than before....parties with themes and good food. Activities room always clean and decorated to match events. I would recommend Jackson Oaks to any friend or relatives. KW

I visited Holiday Jackson Oaks. They were nice, but they were just independent living there. You'd have to have another company come in and that would have been another expense. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable. Gina offered lunch, but we had just finished breakfast before we arrived there, so we kind of turned them down. The rooms were very spacious. They had a refrigerator and just a microwave. They were allowed to come and go as they pleased. The people were nice. A lot of them could get around on their own. The community is kind of quiet, but it's in Paducah, Kentucky, so there were restaurants close by. The dining area was nice and looked homey. I've seen a lady doing puzzles. They had areas where they watched movies and played cards. They had a pool table. I've seen a game room up on the second floor. They had a treadmill and bicycles that they could get on there and pedal.

I liked Holiday Jackson Oaks, and I would like to move there. It's very suitable for me. The rooms were nice. The one I looked at was a studio apartment, and it was just perfect for me. Upkeep was very good. Everything looked nice. The dining area was very nice. I didn't get a chance to try their food, but they have a chef there that prepares the food. Everything is homemade there. They have a lot of activities going on. When we were there, they had a group that played music for them. They go on outings and all kinds of stuff. The staff was extremely nice. I stayed there for about a couple of hours talking to her, and she was very patient and very helpful. It was a good experience.

As far as the facility and employees, I was very satisfied. It is a clean place and every employee I encountered for the short time my mother was there was kind and helpful. The only major problem was the billing, but it has ended up being a very major one so carefully check your billing statements. A monthly payment made for my mother was credited to the wrong resident and I have been trying to get that straightened out for 14 months. The facility acknowledged the error and notified me I would be getting a refund in November, 2021. I have contacted this facility and the corporate office numerous times by phone and message since then to see where the refund is, but with no success.

I was greeted right away as I walked into the door of Holiday Jackson Oaks by the lady that was in charge of transportation. And I thought she was the receptionist because she was sitting there doing paperwork right by the door. She took charge and then she introduced me to the other lady, who then introduced me to the manager, even though I did not have a set appointment. I had a set appointment, but I had to come early. So they were very adjustable, very accommodating. The manager, he walked us around and we saw three apartments of different shapes and sizes. We were in the dining room and we were told that there is in-house health care or home care on the premises, which I was very impressed by, that it is right there, and you can access it. The fees can be worked into your monthly bill. I was impressed with the fact that although they don't accommodate in-apartment appliances for a washer and dryer, they do have a washer and dryer room at each level, which is very convenient, because some people can't get in the elevator and take their clothes down to the basement, like my brother, because he has to be in a wheelchair most times. So I was really happy for that. They had small balconies you could actually step upon out of your apartment and get fresh air, or have a little table and a chair if you wanted to have coffee out there, if you were able to get out there. They also had huge walk-in closets. There are some repairs that need to be made to the outside of the building. But inside, it's gorgeous, clean, large, and well equipped. They said that guests could eat free for the first 30 days with the resident. But then thereafter it was a small fee, which I thought was very nice. It would help to orient the person to their new surroundings, if you could join them to eat there. I thought that was very nice. I particularly like the fact that they had people that would escort the residents to their table and make sure they were seated and they would help introduce them to other people, and that they planned some seating for new residents around residents. I think they might have liked the fact that they're personable.

We went to see Jackson Oaks in Paducah. I was more impressed with it but the only problem is, my mom was concerned with being able to manage my dad and they don't offer enough assistance for what she needs. It's an independent living and the price was a little better. They have this little thing they wore around their neck, so they know where the residents are at and I think it kind of works like a life alert too. They let people know where they're at and if they need help in the room or something. They might not have the level of care to take care of my dad, but they do have that. The place is pretty good for somebody that's more independent. That is mainly what they do. They assist some but I think you still need to be able to take care of yourself. They will help you, I think, with the medicine a little bit, but you're more or less expected to be able to kind of take care of yourself. They serve your meals and they cook meals for you. If you use their bedsheets, they'll wash them for you. I think they got machines but with your own laundry, I think you have to do that yourself. My mom can do most of that right now but we're still in the process of learning about what my dad can do. The facility was nice. We've been there once too, a few years ago but we were more impressed with this visit than what we saw 6 or 7 years ago. I was impressed with it myself, but I'm not sure that it offers what we need. I also don't know whether we can afford it or not. We met the assistant manager and she was really helpful. She took us around, showed us 2 to 3 different rooms, told us what they offered, and told us about the prices. They said they could probably work with us on some of it. They even gave us a meal there and she served it herself. Everything was good. We had a salad and some chipped roast beef with gravy and some tangerines. We also had a big nice pizza, yeast bread, and potatoes, and it was all good. They have an activities department. We saw activities where you can work out and things like that. They do have other activities for the people who want to participate, where they do some senior exercises and have other games they can play like bingo. We didn't see those, the staff just explained it to us. The place was nice. It's kind of like a hotel-type of setting. When you first walk in the front door, they have the offices to the left, and then you go to the right down a hall and that's where they have the dining area and the kitchen back behind the dining area. When you come back, there's a little area where everybody can get together and watch different shows. They have 2 or 3 floors and they have some upstairs rooms.

The person who toured us at Jackson Oaks was very gracious. She answered my questions very well, was very helpful, very courteous, and very polite. I enjoyed talking to her and several others. The rooms we looked at were two studios and two one-bedrooms, and they were both very well kept. In fact, one of them had just been completely remodeled, and the other one had changed the carpeting. So, I was impressed with their maintenance and how they took care of the facility. The dining area seemed well kept and adequate for the residents, and people looked satisfied with their food. The menus were quite varied, and you had more than one choice per day. In fact, they give you a selection of menus before the day, and you are allowed to choose what you want for your meal. The lady also gave me a very nice brochure on the planned activities, and what the schedule of activities looked like, and they were quite varied too. When I was there, I noticed people were unloading amps and equipment, so it seemed they would have had some sort of music event. They said they have people come in to sing. The only thing was it's a multi-story building, and I only saw one elevator. Some of the rooms were located quite a distance from the elevator that you had to walk down some pretty long halls to get into an elevator or to the stairs.

I did an in-person tour at Jackson Oaks. I saw the rooms and the activity center. The lady was very nice and my daughter and I even had lunch there. It was very nice and clean and the color was really nice. It felt like a nice place to live. The food was great. The staff gave me an activity sheet and they have a couple of things going on every day. Sometimes it's bingo, cards, or crafts. There's a lot going on. The location is very nice for me because it's 3.7 miles from where I live in Paducah. It's located in a good place. It's next to a school.

My father-in-law and I both enjoyed the tour at Jackson Oaks. We liked the whole place, the eating facilities, extra places, and the apartment. The rooms are efficient and pretty well laid-out. It has plenty of room and the patios and decks outside are pretty nice. The staff we talked to was nice and the services they offer seemed to be fine. The dining setup is nice and my father-in-law has eaten there on other occasions and thought the food was good. The menus seem to be very good as well. They have different clubs and groups, and certain times every week they take them to the doctor, mall, Walmart, or the grocery store.

My parents have been with Jackson Oaks for two months now. The staff is very good and courteous. They're very nice, friendly, and helpful people. The residents there are very nice too, it's a really good place. They have a gym, a pool table, and a library. There's also a nice yard to walk in and a very pretty dining room. The food is okay, like the cooking at home. They really do a good job.

Everything was beautiful at Jackson Oaks. the rooms were great, the dining hall was great, and the presentation when you drive out was great. I was very impressed. There were people visiting, and I noticed a lot of friendliness, as we were walking around.

Jackson Oaks was a very nice place. If I could afford to live there, I would. The people were very nice, and the place was very clean and very neat. It is an independent place, but they come in and check on you every so often, and if you need help, they'll come in and help you. They'll clean your apartment or do your laundry if you need it and do the cooking for you and everything. That's what I would have preferred. It's one big building, and everything is included in it. You can go to church and have evenings to watch movies. They had one big dining room wherein your food is fixed for you. They served breakfast, dinner, and the evening meal. The more you need, the more it costs. They have a bus that will take you to the grocery store and the doctor, so you don't have to drive.

I am in Jackson Oaks. It is a beautiful place, and I have good service here. They are taking care of me and helping me when I need help, and I like the people. The dining room is beautiful, but the food is average.

Jackson Oaks was very nice. I enjoyed and liked it. We had lunch there, and the young woman who showed us around was very knowledgeable, and she did a good job. She showed us different types of apartments. My overall experience in there was very good. My husband liked it very much, but our problem was that my children lived over towards Louisville, and there would be no reason for us to be going to Paducah. I talked to Tina -- I believed her name was -- the other day and told her we definitely were not interested in her particular place. It had nothing to do with her or with the housing; it was nice and we enjoyed it, but our children were East of us going toward Louisville, so if we were going to move, we would move that way.
