Cornerstone at Broadmoor is great, and they're very tuned in to each of their clients as an individual. They make all sorts of arrangements to accommodate each individual, like having an individual living plan that includes their social and physical needs, and it even includes an individualized menu to accommodate any food allergies or taste. They are very hands-on as far as caring for my mother and her needs, worries, and fears. It's beautiful and comfortable, and they have time for her any time of day. If she has a request or a question, they have a nurse practitioner that is on-site at least once a week unless she's needed more. The charge nurse calls me several times a week with requests or questions. I just couldn't be more pleased, they're just wonderful and good-humored, and everyone is accommodating but also just over-the-top kind. The facility is wonderful. There's an interior courtyard that the rooms are built around, and there's an outdoor courtyard that is protected from the wind. My mother is able to go out there and walk for exercise and be outside. Her room is clean and new. She's just very comfortable.

My grandparents lived here for several years after moving out of their own home due to the fact they could not maintain the upkeep on their house. They loved it and it was great to see how much they got involved. There were game nights and movie nights as well as exercise classes and a salon/barber shop. All of their meals and snacks were prepared for them and a priest came each week to offer Mass so there was no need for them to ever leave. Their apartment was a two bedroom two bath so it was great if someone wanted to stay over or when my aunt from out of town visited she could stay with them. They also had a small kitchen in their apartment so they could make snacks and keep some items on hand to eat and drink which they greatly liked. There were nurses on staff 24 hours a day to check on them and even made sure they took their medicines correctly and on time. The staff was very warm and welcoming and always in contact with family to ensure the best possible care. The residence all seemed to love the facility and the events that the staff set up to ensure a fun and inviting environment. My grandfather passed away but my grandmother lived there alone in a smaller room until just recently. As her health declined the amount of care increased and the staff and nurses were very attentive and very comforting to my grandmother and to the family. I think this was a great facility for my grandparents and will be forever grateful to the staff for the care they provided.

This is an intimate assisted living facility in the northeast part of the city. It is managed by the big Via Christi medical system that has a stronghold in the Wichita area. Very lovely facility. Only has about 40 units. Furnished cozy and home-like. Nice schedule of activities. Nurse on site daily so good monitoring of medical conditions. Grounds are kept up nicely, but close to busy cross streets. Only down side is not a continuum of care community...so a move will be necessary if needs exceed the limits of assisted living.
