I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister was there in the Catholic Care Center for rehab. I was impressed with that place. The staff was always available. Sometimes it took a while to get staff in. The staff wasn't quite as available. For the most part, they were responsive as far as personal, treating them with respect.

I visited this facility

I toured the Catholic Care Center. It went well. The thing I was interested in was the chapel with the mass available during the week. It also had devotions in the afternoons if I wanted them. It has exercise activities you could take part in, and every day they had different exercises for different parts of the body. I liked the setup of the rooms where they had four rooms in a row and they had little tables out in the center between two rows of rooms where you could sit and do puzzles. They have activities every day until supper time that you can participate in. It's two floors but they do have an elevator. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I visited this facility

Catholic Care Center has two levels and it was pricey, and for some people it can be very confusing as to how they are going to get back upstairs. They have bingo and singing. The staff was friendly.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has been at catholic care for six months, She first went to the meadows, when she arrived all she wanted to do was die. She is 95. She didn't, want to eat, get dressed etc, what a change in barely one week. The staff is wonderful. After a month she transferred to memory care because she was too high functioning for the meadows. She is doing great. She goes to mass each morning and is kept busy all day. She loves the staff and they are so good with her. And believe me she can be difficult. Her meds have been adjusted several times and she is such better spirits. We love this place. The staff is so easy to deal with.

This place has a wonderful, caring staff. Our Mother lived the last few years there. She had healthy meals and a great group of care-givers.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother had her rehab at Catholic Care Center, and they were also very nice. They were great, and she enjoyed the therapy. When she went in, we weren't sure she would get out of long-term care, but she had, and she did wonderfully under their care. She had a physical therapist and an occupational therapist. She had a program for each of them like exercise and different things. They apparently did a great job because she went from not really doing very much to being able to do quite a bit. I was pleased with the facility. They had a lot of walkways. They had open areas. There were lots of places that they could go see. They had puzzles and books available, and it just depended on the residents on what levels they could do.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

There were several reasons why I chose Catholic Care Center for my wife. One of them is that they have higher staff to patient ratio than most anywhere else. I was very impressed with their activities. I believe that is very important for my wife to be involved with a lot of different activities. She has been there now for over two years and I couldn't be happier. They are just doing a wonderful job taking care of her. They have so many activities. They have movies, slide show presentations with just about any subject you can think of. They also have field trips were they go to bowling, play miniature golf, they go to stores, and they just go everywhere. They have entertainment from local schools, churches, musicians, and speakers. They also have crafts. My wife is comfortable there. She has made friends and knows the staff. The one weak area they have is their accounting. They don't do a very good job with that. It's not that they are cheating; it's just that their invoice is difficult to understand when I get it at the end of the month. Nevertheless, I am very happy with the one that we have chosen.
