The nursing staff at Advena Living on Fountainview was not caring. There were a couple of residents that had fallen, and they acted like they didn't want to go help them or give them any kind of aid. My mom was supposed to have taken some more medicine, and they didn't give it to her properly. One of the pills she was supposed to have taken in the morning couldn't be taken with other medicine, and they were giving it to her in the evening. We had a hard time getting them to understand what that pill was for when she needed to take it. My dad was there, too. Both of them had come down with COVID, and my dad ended up getting pneumonia. He ended up dying from that because they didn't give him the care that he needed. It was an older nursing home. It could have some upkeep on it, as far as new carpet and the bathrooms were kind of run down a little bit. Overall, the cleanliness was good, and the food was good.

Best thing about this facility is that it is small and in a country setting. If you are a local and need this level of care, it is here for you. This is especially important to family members that want to be able to visit regularly. The nursing home is a part of the larger owned Lakepoint family of nursing and long term care providers. I would say this is a decent, solid choice, but nothing remarkable comes to mind.
