My father has moved into Andover Court. The reasons why I chose them are because of the staff, the layout of the facility, and how it made you feel. It's a home environment. They have different activities. They have social gatherings. The other day, they had an ice cream social. They have weekly bingo. And they have a beautiful outdoor court where the residents can go and enjoy being outdoors. I haven't sampled their food, but it sure smells good, and it looks good.

Cheap. Would only recommend someone living there if you are completely independent. If you need help with any activities if daily living its a no. A lot of agency workers. So care is inconsistent and poor. Need daily visits to check on things. No care plans. Issues not addressed. Frequent staff quite. Not giving medication correctly. No communication and issues are not addresses.

We visited Andover Court. If we needed to put my dad in a place, that would be where I would put him. Financially, it would have been possible for us to move him there, plus I live out here, so it would have been close to me. Everybody was nice and informative to us. It was clean and it smelled good. Everything was nice. They have a courtyard, they have three meals a day, and they do activities during the day.

I like it here at Andover Court, it's nice and the people are nice. The food is good and it's clean. They offer transportation to my doctor. When it comes to food I'm allergic to or medications I'm allergic to, they're sensitive to that. The staff members are nice, they don't use agency people. They have a beauty shop, there's a podiatrist that comes in, and they have laundry. They'll help whenever you need it. They have a maintenance man here, and he does all the maintenance here and keeps things going.

We were able to go in a room at Andover Court, but not the entire facility, just the room that they had for rent. The room was really nice; that's all we ever saw. It happened to have an outside entrance, and we were allowed to go in the room since they're still working on it and getting it ready to rent out. We didn't get to see the rest of the facility, since they wouldn't allow anybody in because of COVID. The lady, who I think was the director, was very friendly and nice when she was talking about the apartment and letting us look at it. She was telling us about the rest of the facility because we couldn't see it. She was very nice and answered the questions my parents had. I know they had a sundae bar where they can make homemade sundaes, but with COVID they couldn't do it. Everybody has to eat inside the apartments, but they had a cart that looks like an ice-cream truck that comes around with ice cream. They go door to door for the residents to get their sundaes. I think they also have a YMCA membership for all the residents if anyone wants to go. From the outside, the facility looks like a nice big house with one level, and it just kind of spreads out, like a cluster of apartments. It looked very nice and well maintained.

My father has lived at Andover Court since June 2016 and we could not be happier with his/our experience. He is treated so great and all of the care workers treat my dad (and our entire family) like part of their family. When anything comes up that they are concerned with, I am notified. Dustie and her staff go above and beyond in helping with managing his health care, medicine and therapy. They have a lot of activities going on and although my dad does not attend many of them he is invited and welcome. Andover Court also has activities that invites families and the community into join the residents. I can sleep peacefully at night knowing that my dad is being taken care of and all of his needs are being met. Angela, Dustie and all of the staff at Andover Court are truly angels sent from heaven for the work they do with the residents.

Andover Court is a nice and clean facility. When I went, it was lunchtime, and all of the ladies and a few gentlemen were eating lunch. It didn't look like anybody was put off by the food. I got to see several rooms, like a single, deluxe single, and studio, and all of them were adequate in size. The lady who gave me the tour was pretty knowledgeable. It's right next to a hospital, but that's it. It's not near anywhere else.

They do everything I wanted to do. They clean my house, make my bed. I don't need help to take a bath, but I'm sure they would help me if I want it. The staff in Andover Court is friendly, I have no complaints. My kids tell me I do everything I wanted to do. The staff take me to places, they're always doing that, and I'm kept busy. My daughter thinks that I just lay in bed all the time, but I don't, I'm moving. I would recommend the place.
