My grandmother moved into Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing. She's been there for over a month now. The lady that I had spoken to was very helpful. It is like a family there. I go, and I eat supper with my grandmother every day. I get to know the people that my grandmother is getting to know, so that's kind of like one big, happy family. They've been very open. They're very clean. You don't smell anything at all. It's bright and happy. It's exactly what we needed for my grandmother. They have a salon, so they can get their hair done. They take them out on outings once a week. They go to lunch or a movie. They do what they can for the residents who want to do that. We didn't have a TV for my grandmother for probably 3 or 4 days, so one of the nurses would take her out into a room and turn the TV on so that she had at least a TV to watch when she wanted to watch it. They were accommodating to her until we got all of her furniture moved in. They just kind of go above and beyond. The food is pretty good. It's more home-cooked and not frozen. There are places that are cheaper, but those cheaper places are not as nice.

My grandmother and I looked at the assisted living of Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing. They were very nice, respectful, polite and welcoming. The rooms were nice but a little smaller and a little older too. They're more like 1-bedroom apartments. It was a very good place for the price.

Please, if you have a family member or friend do not choose this facility. My best friend was placed at this facility, I believe the care she received shortened her life. They allowed other residents to enter her room, unplug her TV and scare her. Their answer to this was to lock her into her room. She was so scared, she gave up. Please rethink using this facility for your loved one.

My boyfriend's grandmother has been staying in this horrible facility for quite a while now and I really wish she didn't have to. She has gotten pneumonia at this facility at least on three different occasions. Not only did she get pneumonia so many times, she has also gotten UTI's and she was even assaulted in her own room. In addition to this, when things like this would occur, this facility didn't care to mention any of this information to our family, and instead we were always notified from the hospital. It is absolutely ridiculous how much money this facility expects yet, they can't even ensure the safety of the residents. They can't protect the residents themselves by doing their jobs properly and changing them after they have used the restroom on themselves. It's pathetic how they allow other residents to enter other residents' rooms, without watching them and allowing abuse to occur to them, and not tell anyone. If you send your elderly family member here, expect that they will be sent to an early grave due to this facility's negligence and lack of humane treatment.

I toured Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing. The lady during the tour was good. There was nothing outstanding with the facility, but there was nothing wrong with it, too. It was just a normal independent living area. It seemed like a clean, safe community to live in. They were all wearing masks at that time.

I visited Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing. The staff member was very friendly, knowledgeable, and was good at answering questions. They had standard apartments, one-bedroom apartments, they had a library, and the dining area had ten to 15 tables; it was like a restaurant.

Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing was even more energetic than the other place. The lady that led me around was very energetic, and I thought that was very good to see. She talked to people as she went by, and spoke very highly of the facility and the things they offered. The rooms were fine, I was a little bit concerned about the location in terms of flooding potential, because Ive seen water around there before when we had heavy rains. They assured me they didnt have any water there, and thats good to hear. Its a rural location which was very nice, and I thought the residents would appreciate that. My father was a farmer in his younger years. They had several farmers that are residents, and thats good. It had lots of good social activities for my mother. Its a very nice facility. They had renovation plans, some of the carpeting was dated, but they said theyre in the middle of renovation. I saw one of the menus and it looked really tasty. They had a common room and they had a sunroom, which was very nice.

This community is beautiful and feels like home! The staff seemed so kind and caring. I loved that it is a smaller community and they provide transportation. They also seemed to have lots of activities going on and they have a gorgeous courtyard.

My mother will be moving to Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing on Monday. It seemed family friendly. The rooms were really nice. She will have a fairly large living room and a nice bedroom and an adjoining bath. They had outings, bingo, cards, and dominos. The staff was very friendly.

Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing was lovely. The rooms were quite spacious compared to other places I had seen. Most of the staff seemed very friendly. It was all very nice. They had nice activities that they offer, and that would be very desirable. Our only reason for choosing the other one was proximity to my sister.

I was so impressed with Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing that I ended up placing Mom there. The staff is wonderful; I couldn't ask for any better. Mom is in an exercise class three times a week and is currently involved in card games and board games. She's doing outings to Walmart and Dairy Queen, and is involved with planting a vegetable and flower garden. They keep her very busy, and it's wonderful. I thought their food was very good, and Mom has an option of ordering something else if she doesn't like the main course. It's very clean.

Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing was a nice, clean, and friendly place. The apartment was perfect; it was clean and tidy. The staff who helped me tour the place were all very helpful. When I was there, they were getting ready for a party. They were gathered in a meeting area. They have a pretty dining area and everybody seemed to be happy with their food.

Courtyard Estates was very nice. The staff was very nice and friendly. It was relatively new, and very clean but a little smaller. They also have a memory care unit, but it’s like 10 miles from us.

We went to Courtyard Estates and checked everything out. It seemed to be good, so we just went with that. Regarding their rooms, I wouldn't call them spacious, but they're very adequate and very nice. I think all of the staff did a very good job.
