My sister is in Brentwood at LaPorte. We chose it because it was more economical. It's clean, and it's a nice place. The staff is good. They have activities. They play all kinds of games and stuff like that. They keep them occupied. They take them on visits around the county. They have their own rooms and everything, and they're very clean, too. I like it. They have a garden. They're close to hospitals.

My relative is at Brentwood at LaPorte. She's pretty well taken care of as far as her needs, and she seems happy there. She has some memory issues, so we weren't sure she was going to be able to get along in that type of community, but she's doing well. The staff has been good and helpful. She's doing OK with just minimal assistance throughout the day from the staff. Her issue is that she needs somebody to nudge or assist her with the shower more than once a week. The facilities are very nice. The food is good; we've eaten there plenty of times. Her room is very nice, clean, welcoming, and big enough. They have a wonderful and nice common dining area. And then they do bingo, outdoor activities, and gardening in the summer. They bring them to the arts in the park. They have a specialized bus in the summer and they go out of their way. They have a good activity director. I wish they would push her more to go outside, but then I understand about not wanting to agitate her, too. They have a doctor that comes once every three months, but that's just for immunizations.

We toured Brentwood at LaPorte. Some assisted living facilities are very quiet and kind of depressing, but this place wasn't like that at all. It's very nice and bright. They were having an exercise class, and then at the end of the tour, they were going to the dining area where we were finishing our tour and they were going to be playing bingo there. While everybody does that, it was nice to see the people in action. Some people were active and lively. They must be attentive there to the people or we wouldn't have seen all that going on, I don't think. We viewed the whole place except the memory care floor, and that was another thing. They have everything there. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care should my mother ever need that. They have quite a few different things in one place, which is nice in case my mother needs to go. She doesn't have to leave, and she can stay in the same building. And another plus was that if my mother's funds run out, they're going to start taking Medicaid, so she wouldn't have to leave, so that was another benefit. Everything was nice and clean, and everybody was friendly. You feel comfortable there like it's a very nice home. The person who toured us was a blast. He was just kind of filling in because the other person was no longer there, but he was wonderful. He was funny and we were laughing the whole time. He's a very nice guy.

My dad moved into Brentwood at LaPorte a few months ago. They're very attentive to him. His room is very nice. They have good activities. They can do their laundry, they have a pool table. They have a garden outside, and they have computers for them, and a little library for them to read books if they want to. They have very good staff, very nice, and I wish they had a few more people.

I went to Brentwood at LaPorte. The rooms were very nice. My father was there for only a week before he passed away. From what I've seen of the staff, they were very nice and knowledgeable. They had all kinds of activity, but I didn't get to see it. I didn't see anything messed up. Everything was clean.

Brentwood at LaPorte's community has been very helpful and attentive to my father. He seems to have taken a little bit of time to settle in, but they're very proactive in trying to get him involved. They make sure that my dad eats every meal, they talk to us when we're there, and make sure we know how my dad is doing throughout the day. We also get regular phone calls from them if anything changes or if he has fallen. They've been very quick to react and we're very pleased with how everything has progressed. My dad started in an apartment in regular assisted living, but they noticed over the first couple of weeks that he was kind of confused, so they recommended him going into the memory care unit, and now he has his own bedroom space, but he shares a bathroom with another gentleman, so they're kind of like partners so he's not in the room all by himself. They do have a wall that separates the two bedrooms. They have two or three different activities throughout the day in addition to all the meals, and once a week they actually have a little trip that they can go on for assisted living. They have a cafeteria, an exercise room, pool table area, an area for arts and crafts and movies, and a piano. It's a very nice facility for both units.

Everything was excellent with Brentwood. It was on a side street, and was quite a walk to the facility, but other than that, I couldn't find anything wrong. They have nice people, and the amenities were standard.

The staff at Brentwood at LaPorte seemed to be very nice. Their rooms/apartments were very nice. I can't think of anything they could improve on. Security was very good.

I have been living at Brentwood at LaPorte since December. I had hard time adjusting because I'm away from my father, however, I am fairly enjoying the place now and the people here are just tremendous. The staff are excellent. They are just so wonderful. They are very kind in every way and they want to be helpful. I never had a problem with the staff but with some of the residents that are here, but somehow that has seemed to suddenly be better. I am so amazed with their food because I know they have to be on a budget, but everything is very tasty and very well-seasoned. I was very glad that I chose this facility.

I did visit Brentwood at LaPorte. I like the facility because they had a memory care unit. Their rooms were okay. During the tour, the staff were very nice.
