My mother moved into long-term care at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne. She had been here for rehab before, she liked the nursing staff, and she felt very at home here. The staff is very caring and they're very quick to help. The food is good, but it lacks variety. There are multiple things to do every day. They have bingo, exercise, chair yoga, and every day, they have some kind of a speaker or a presenter. They have different gathering rooms. If you have a lot of people, you can have them in a room for visiting. They have a bistro where you can get food any time of the day. I feel like it's worth the money, and she feels very safe here.

My husband was in Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne for rehab. He had a private room and it had decorations and artwork, and it was up-to-date. The staff was very nice. A nurse was right there. They have the whole gamut there. They have independent care, assisted living, memory care, and rehab. The rehab had its own wing and so it had its own nurse and aide right there. It had its own little kitchen and dining and he would usually go and eat out in the dining area. He had a great experience there. They did PT and OT obviously and they were very good, too. He was there for two weeks after one of his hospital stays and ten days for his other rehab. That's where he preferred to go the second time because he liked it the first time. They're the ones that recommended long-term care for him, but they didn't have any openings. His room was beautiful. He had a couch, a chair, a TV, a dresser, a nightstand, his bed, another TV, and a closet. They had a bistro, but it was closed. I saw two large dining rooms and that was for anybody that lived there. The rehab had its own area. They had a little living room with a TV and a place for them to eat together, so there was socialization.
