I was bored a lot, that was my main complaint. The activities are childish like paint with water or things kindergarten kids do. And most stuff listed on their calendar you do in your room like puzzle pages or exercise to the Channel 3 DVD. Bean bag baseball is the only thing active residents do that felt like healthy exercise and it's not even once a month. The aides are very nice and give good care and I have a large room. Food is frozen or canned institutional stuff but they do try to make it taste good. I think for 5 grand a month a lot of things could be better. There aren't amenities here like a pool or workout room. There should be several activities every day not a couple per week. And with variety to appeal to different people. Most of us guys hate bingo.

The rooms at Heritage Woods of Yorkville were nicely decorated and colorful. Each one was unique. The community was clean and well maintained; however, it looked tired and could use some modernization. The staff was very friendly and great.

Heritage Woods appeared to be very nice. It was very updated and very nice. The staff seemed to be very professional. Dining appeared to be similar with the other facility; it appeared to be good quality.

What is nice about Heritage Woods of Yorkville is they get everything done for me. The food is alright. I am not very particular. It is regular food, and it is just basic like anything else at your home. The dining facility is very nice. They have about ten tables, and the servers are nice. They have activities, and I do some of them. The rooms are fair in size. For a dresser and a bed, it’ll be big, but I got a lot of things in here. I have my TV, but you can’t put it on the wall though, and I think that would save a lot of room. The bathroom is huge, and it has a handheld shower.
