My wife was in memory care for about a year and was very well taken care of. The room was very nice and the staff took good care of my wife they made sure she was comfortable. The staff were very nice and would call me if any issues came up. I was able to take my wife out anytime i wanted i usually took her out to lunch. I really had no issues with Bickford of Aurora it is a well run facility.

Bickford of Aurora was a beautiful place. The facility was really nice. It's newer, but the cost is a lot higher. It's almost $5,000 a month and the fee will go up every year. The business director is very nice. She even sent me an email the last couple of weeks to find out what's going on, so she really cares. That's the only extent of my contact with them. We did not take my mother-in-law there for the visit because it was out of her price range. Just from my tour, it looks like they had a lot of nice activities, and the dining room was beautiful, so I'm sure everything else was fine as long as price is not a concern. We said that she would go in as an independent, and that was OK because they prefer that she's independent, and as she needs services they would add to it.

Bickford of Aurora was very good. What I liked least was that they didn't concentrate on memory care, but the facility itself was magnificent. They've got nice people. They have memory care, but their concentration is more on assisted living. If I put my uncle in Bickford, he would probably have to be in assisted living. Their memory care is way more expensive. It's over $9000. They're excellent. Everybody I talked to was so supportive. My uncle is Italian. He likes to have a glass of wine. They said, "You bring wine and we'll serve it to him at lunch or dinner." They were willing to accommodate him. It's a brand new place. It's gorgeous. They have a little bistro. They have a big living area. The dining room is more like a restaurant. It was nice. I wouldn't mind living there.

Bickford of Aurora was beautiful, but it was just too expensive for us. We toured the memory care, and the staff was very friendly and very willing to help with anything we needed. The dining area is very elegant and very nice. When we went there, they were playing bingo with the residents. Some people were playing Uno. Those were the only two things that were going on at the time that we were there. They have a hair salon and a spa. They also take the residents on outings.

We have signed up with Bickford of Aurora. We've already put our deposit and everything down, so we're all set. We drove by a few other providers, but we actually went and physically went in there because it's kind of centrally located for all the family members, it's brand new and they have space available. It was very nice that's why we decided to go with it. They have very nice people. We're going in through memory care, so the room is just a studio. The security was very nice. You go into the main doorway, and they have someone come out and meet you. They checked our temperature, took some information, and then they gave us a tour. We saw a little exercise area. They showed me where you can get their haircuts, the meet-and-greet area, and the craft area. They showed us a lot of things. We walked through the whole facility. They have a memory songbook that you put together and then they have people come in and talk one-on-one with my mom, they get her out with the group, and they play trivia and other games and things like that if she would like to do that. They had a lot of things that she could pick up on if she wanted.

I toured Bickford of Aurora for my wife, and it cost too much money. They have a good facility, but I cannot afford that place. They were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It looked very clean and nice. The room was clean, nice, and adequate.

The staff at Bickford of Aurora was very friendly. When I was there I saw residents involved in the activities, and their activities looked like something that I would enjoy. The staff was great and they even gave me recommendations of other places I could go and see. They only had a one-bedroom, but I needed a two-bedroom. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was really good. They had buses to take people out shopping to the Pumpkin Patch. It was before Christmas and they went and saw the lights. It was really nice. I wanted my parents to go there except they only had one-bedroom apartments. The building was brand new and it seemed to have a very large social area where people could watch TV and socialize. There were always people mingling around. It made the place seem kind of like a home.

I can't say enough good things about Bickford of Aurora. They're not open yet, but it's wonderful in every way, shape or form. It's small enough that my mother won't get lost in the crowd. There is an abundance of personnel who are all extremely helpful. They have their own chef, who makes everything. We had lunch together, and it was unbelievable, restaurant-quality food. I would give them 5 stars right off the bat. They do puzzles and many different types of crafts, play board games, have someone who comes in to help women and men make jewelry, and do a lot of activities, like charades and other tabletop games where you're face to face with other people and get to know your neighbors.

Bickford of Aurora was very new, nice, and very clean. The woman who took us around was very nice. The facility was great, and my brother-in-law was impressed. The dining area was fine. There were some people sitting watching television. They had a memory care unit, too.

I really liked Bickford of Aurora and they're brand new. The whole Bickford philosophy is very compelling. The family built the business around a daughter who had Alzheimer's and there's a good feel to that. Some of the grandsons are even still involved in running the business. I like that it's all on one level and it's in a U-shape so if a person wanders, they can't really get lost. It's really quite nice and goes around an atrium, which is lovely. The facility is beautiful, meticulous, comfortable, and warm.

Bickford was a little too pricey. They’ve got a chef, and the rooms were sufficient and nice. The staff was fantastic.
