My mom is living at Cordia Senior Residence. The CNAs take really good care of their residents. The food that they provide is really good. They have a lot of activities that get people involved. They keep the facility really tidy. They've updated the main area. It seems like they pay good attention to keeping everything looking nice. They have quite a few movies, which I know the residents enjoy. They have a lot of live entertainment. I know bingo is a big one for a lot of the residents. Almost every day they have some sort of theme, whether it's in a dessert or a drink. There is an exercise room and they encourage people to use that.

My mother is in Cordia Senior Residence. I'm satisfied with the care. They have a lot of activities for the seniors. The staff is fine. Her room is perfect. They have a library, a grand piano, and excellent food. Somebody comes in to do a performance every afternoon. They have bingo and arts and crafts. They have a shuttle that will take them to get their own groceries. They have so much available for the seniors. I'm ready to move in myself and have somebody caring for me. She has her own washer and dryer in her room.

Cordia Senior Residence was beautiful, first class, and very lovely. I was there early in the morning. It was a last-minute appointment, and the staff member was kind enough to get me on her schedule. It was relatively quiet. She was very good at giving the tour and sharing information, telling me as much as she could about their facility. The apartments were beautiful. The unit was laid out and planned very well with the storage, the closet space. The option of having a washer and dryer in the room was nice. There was one down the hall not far from the units, so the resident would have the option to have an extra closet. It was a little bit more than what we could afford to pay, but it was very nice. The big plus of this place is the aging in place. A couple can stay together as long as they want.

Cordia Senior Residence was excellent. I would recommend them. Everything was deluxe. The nice thing about it is when you get your room, they're not assisted living or independent living. because a lot of times you have to change floors when your level changes, but at this place, you stay in the same room and they bring the assistance to you. The only reason we didn't pick it is because it's too far from us. I could see myself living at this place. I looked at a 1-bedroom unit and it had lots of storage. It had three closets in the unit and everybody gets either a balcony or a patio so you can sit outside. I saw centerpieces on the table in the dining room and they serve liquor if you want. On Thursday nights, if I come visit my aunt and have dinner, I would only have to pay $14 and I would get two glasses of wine or two mixed drinks. It's upscale. It's a little bit more money, but you get what you pay for. They take a lot of nice trips. They go to theaters and you just have to pay for your ticket. I did not see a lot of seniors going around, but I like everything about it. You walk in and you see the dining room with tables and centerpieces. It was clean. The tour guide lady explained things to me. All the rooms were assisted living qualified, so if you're independent, you can stay in the same room. They have a courtyard, they have live performances, and once a week they try to get a folk singer to come. My aunt would love that.

We really liked Cordia Senior Residence. The one thing that we did not care for was the fact that the exit doors really were not secured, so the residents could just go out any door they wanted to. Since my mother has Alzheimer’s, we really cannot have her wandering off. It looked very clean, and all the employees seemed professional. It is a place that we would probably put my mom into if there was some way that we could keep her there after the money runs out. We went there on a Sunday -- which wasn’t like a normal day -- but we did see some people watching a movie, and then there were some doing jigsaw puzzles.

Wonderful facility; very inviting; wonderful tour guide who made me feel very welcome and answered all my questions. This was #3 on my list for my father, and that was simply because of cost. Otherwise, it is a very nice place.

Cordia Senior Residence was okay. Mom wasn't overly thrilled with it, but I don't recall any particular reason. She wasn't comfortable. I think part was just the location; it's a little bit further away from where she wanted to be.

My mom has been at Cordia Senior Residence for nine years. She is in a really nice and huge apartment. She has 14 pieces of her furniture in the apartment. She has a kitchen area with a refrigerator, eight cabinets, a small kitchen table with two chairs, and a huge double-closet like you would find in a bedroom area. In the living area, she has a full-size couch, two living room chairs, a lamp, a TV stand with space for a stereo. She has a sewing cabinet, a huge desk, bathroom with shower, and a linen closet. The food is excellent. They do have assisted living there, but I think she needs more than the assisted living that they’re able to offer. The staff is very nice, but I don’t think they have enough staff to handle the number of people that need assisted living.

Cordia Senior Residence didn’t have the wow factor for me from the pretty perspective, but where it did have it is the engagement of the staff. They really seemed to be connected with their people. During the tour, I did have the opportunity to meet a couple of the residents and engage with a couple of them. It seemed like everybody there was really happy and quite pleased with the facility, and it was far more affordable. Not that it had a smell, but the carpeting wasn’t as clean; the rooms weren’t as nicely appointed. The baseboard was just a piece of carpeting, so the carpeting ran up to the corner and then it ran up the wall 4 inches. It felt like your college dormitory or your very first apartment you ever had. One of the things about Cordia Senior Residence is if my parents or one of them needed more care, they could remain in their room. They would just up the level of service needed for that member. It was an as-needed up charge. Each room is licensed to handle medical need and offer higher intensity of care without having to separate them.

We visited Cordia, which is the one we chose. The staff was fabulous. I think she was admissions coordinator, but she went way above to help my friends get in there. The rooms were great. They really needed only a one-bedroom, but got into a two-bedroom of a very spacious size, and the dining area seems lovely. My friends who have moved there just think it is wonderful. They have bus transportations if they want to go to church every Sunday, so it has worked out very well for them. I like the friendly staff. They have independent living and assisted living, and I think they could actually add their own nursing care.

They offer a la carte service. There's a lot of staff that are very qualified. They have a real nice technology system where the residents wear medallions around their neck. Anytime they need assistance in the building or within their individual apartments units, they can push it, and someone will come. There's different buttons within the living area and the different rooms on the walls. The rooms are well-maintained, and there's a variety of different heights and sizes. They do cards, movies, crafts, they have a bus that takes you out in the community and to and from doctors' appointments. They always have entertainment every night, and then depending upon the season, they sometimes have more elaborate things. It's very well-maintained, it's clean, and the food is excellent. They keep the residents busy. I find it a very safe environment.

My mom is in an ALF and has been there for a number of years. She is happy at Cordia Senior Residence. It is very clean. It is a cut above most places that I looked at. I highly recommend Cordia Senior Residence. Mom is comfortable there. The staff is very helpful and pretty consistent. I like the layout of the facility and how the meals are served in a restaurant style. They ask their clients what they would like to have from a menu. I like that it is not so institutionalized. Activities are things like exercise classes, bingo, and game sessions in the afternoon. They also have groups of ladies that play cards there. I know that they have a lot of other activities that my mom doesn't participate in just because she chooses not to.

My mom stayed at Cordia Senior Residence. It seemed like a wonderful place but our concern was on the financial side. She would not be able to afford it if she would stay there for a long time. The staff were very good. The room was much bigger than what she needed. They had a very nice dining room. She did not participate in any activities but there was a game room and music room. The residents looked happy there. I would recommend this place to other people.

My mother liked Cordia. The staff was fine, the rooms were large and looked nice. They had a complete kitchen, a bunch of activities, and she liked the fact that there were a bunch of people there and they can be pretty active.

The Cordia Senior Residence assisted living facility looked really well-kept from the outside, adorned with nice greenery. We especially liked the park-like atmosphere around the grounds. Our aunt has lived in the region for quite a while and would like to stay in touch with friends and family. She loves to tend the garden and we could see that she would be impressed as well. The main foyer had a lovely receiving area, reminiscent of a quaint country home. The communal areas all had interesting activities occurring, from reading to games and other resident interactions. The facility included very large windows, so there was plenty of cheery light throughout. It was clear that the residents were enjoying themselves. Events and outings scheduled include many excursions in and around the city, from restaurants, to art museums, the library, to local films and crafts, fine dining and theater. The living suites were all a nice size and did not seem cramped. They were also beautifully decorated. We could see that our aunt would be comfortable in any one of them. Each unit had individually controlled temperatures. The kitchens all had ample counter space and appliances. They also host monthly birthday parties for residents at the facility which they encourage friends and family to attend. The dining areas had many options. From more intimate to communal dining, resident can choose whatever they like. The food choices looked nutritious and delicious, as well as the regular snacks - offered continually. In addition, there are private dining spaces for residents to host private parties.
