Oak Hill is not ideal, and with COVID I couldn't go in to see or preview it. On their website, they had pictures of all the public spaces. But they did not have one patient or resident room that you could look at in any of the area including the rehab that my mom is in. I still don't know what the room looks like, that was the downside to me. All I saw was the lobby and the offices, but it looked nice and clean. There were no odors, people were friendly, and they answered my questions for the most part. It was okay, it wasn't my first choice. I looked at their inspections and how many citations they had at the nursing care, the nursing care evaluations, and it had fewer citations this last year. The nursing care was considered above average, so that's one part of why I picked it. The staff keeps me informed, they're pretty good. Everything is being charged. In some of the other nursing homes, more things were included; they would cost a little more, but they had things and the television included. Here, everything gets charged. She gets the room, and that's it. It's the bed, the nightstand, and an armoire in the room. If you have regular TV and wants cable, that's extra. They charge for the depends, the shampoo, everything gets charged. They even charge for the wheelchair. They have a whole page of list of things available to you that they charge for. They were a mid-priced community, they weren't cheap for sure.

Oak Hill was a good one, they just didn't have any room for us. It was nice, clean, friendly, and had a lot of amenities, and it was set up beautifully inside. They just didn't have no openings for what we needed. They have the little gardens, little places that are outside. They have flowers and everything like everyone else. The staff was very friendly, and very informative. They had people eating some snacks. They had showed the dining room and showed where they cooked the meals. In a lot of these places, if you get hungry later on that night, they make sure you get something.

My mother has moved into Oak Hill. It is clean. They have the most friendly staff. The food was great. We sat down at the table and they took our orders like at a restaurant. I was very impressed. As you walk down the hall they say hello to you. It was just beautiful. They have church, they have different groups for music, they have exercises, they have bingo, and they show movies at least once a week. There is a room set up for movies. The room is very nice. My mother is in a double room. It comes with a lift chair. Everything I saw was fabulous. I was so impressed with everything, including their food. We had real turkey and homemade dressing. If you don't like what's on the menu, you can order other things.

Oak Hill was a little dated. The people were very nice, and the cleanliness was fine.
