My parents are in independent living at Proctor Place. They have been there for four or five years now. It's gorgeous and very clean. My parents are super satisfied. They have a higher standard, and it exceeds all their standards and some. They're happy. My mom works in the gift shop, and she just loves it there. It's a really good community. She's made a lot of friends there. It's well kept. They have beautiful gardens. I haven't eaten there, but my mom was raving about their Mother's Day dinner. They had prime rib, salmon, and twice-baked potatoes, and she was just over the moon. My mom does book club. Downstairs they have this basement that has mini golf, there's a little gym in there, and there's an area with a workbench, so if you're into crafting things, there's a section for that. There is a pool table. It's a very active community and every time I've been there, everyone that I've bumped into was just so friendly and polite. It's a great place. One thing I'm kind of disappointed in, at first it seemed like they were handling the COVID pandemic pretty well, but now they're kind of slacking, and I'm a little concerned about that. They just don't seem to be on top of these second boosters, which I think they should be, so that's a little disappointing. There have been times where I've gone, and I checked in at the front desk and the person at the front desk wasn't wearing a mask even though they should have been, so that was a little disappointing. Other than that, I have no complaints. I don't know how much it costs, but I'm sure it's not cheap, but they're cared for, and I don't worry about them so much. They've got the nursing side on hand, so if they had an emergency, I know that they're they'll be taken care of. They also have emergency call buttons in their rooms.

I toured Proctor Place. It was a nice place. They took me through a room and showed me the cafeteria, and showed me the general layout of the facility. We talked about costs and that type of stuff. I saw a room that was under construction because they didn't have any available rooms of the type that I might have been looking at. I think the rooms were a little smaller than I expected at that location, at least in the price range that I was looking at the amenities seemed nice. They had little places for gardening that I liked.

I toured Proctor Place and it was very, very nice. I liked it a lot. It was very clean, and very independent. The staff was pleasant. There were no foul odors anywhere. I think I would be very comfortable there. The room is very roomy. They'll update it the way you want it to be. They'll decorate it your way and you just have to pay extra for what the extra money that they put into it if you wanted something special. But they are very open to anything. I have a dog and they accept a dog, too. They put me in an area where I could get the dog outside to go to the bathroom, and that was very, very, very helpful. You pick your meals, and you can alternate if you don't want what they're serving that day, and everything is brought to you restaurant style. You don't have to go up and get it on a tray or anything. They had a salon, an exercise room, games, and activities all day long. They also have other several things like a library reading area. You can walk your dog around the whole area inside which was kind of neat because you can sit with your dog and have a cup of coffee and visit with people. I was just amazed at the whole place. I just loved it. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and very informative. The gentleman that showed us around was very informative. On the first meeting with him we were in his sitting area office and he showed us graphs. He showed me what it was going to cost. He was very, very up to date on all the information that you'd be responsible for. It was like being in a hotel. It was just fabulous.

Proctor Place was a little bit different in that, I think you have to turn over your assets to them, and you buy an apartment. Their general meeting room is where we met, and then they took us to some of their individual rooms. That's the independent living rooms, but they do have a skilled nursing facility so that if you need more help then you can move into the skilled nursing area. They have a very lovely dining facility, main area, and an activity room where they have people come in and do concerts. It's a huge, well-organized facility, they take the residents on trips, they just do all kinds of things. It's senior apartments, really. I was very impressed. Very professional staff. They even had a pony there that day, and had pictures with the residents taken with the pony. And then they offered to us who were visiting to have our picture taken with the pony as well. They just do a lot of special activities. It's an outstanding facility. A couple of people from our church were there and they really liked it.

Proctor Place was clean, well maintained, and excellent. We felt everything was more than adequate. It was a very pleasant visit. We were very happy with it. The staff members were very nice, pleasant, accomodating, and very attentive. They were very good at answering any questions we had. They were always around if you needed something or someone to help you. They had physical therapy rooms, which were were very nice. In another section of the community, they had an exercise room for people who wanted to do a little more than just a regular physical therapy. They had a lovely library and rooms where you could have your family in for a dinner. The food was excellent, too.

Proctor Place is good. In fact, I am considering this one. It looked like an active community with a lot of people and a lot of residents, and they all seemed to be happy. The rooms I saw were nice. They were resident rooms that were decorated, and it just gave me a lot of ideas on what you could do. The food was good. They seemed to have a lot of different choices in the type of apartments or rooms they provide. My mother was there and so was my aunt, so I have seen it grown because it has been a long time ago. It is pretty popular.

The staff who accommodated us at Proctor Place was very knowledgeable and very outgoing. The rooms were slightly smaller. When we visited the place, we saw some playing cards, and others were doing some puzzles. The place is very clean and modern, and that was what I liked the most.

I chose Proctor Place because I know people there and also because I played bridge there for the past two years twice a month. The food is good. I have been in the apartments, and they're lovely. Also I can afford it. There are two different designs and the older design is being phased out. When you take a new apartment, they would renovate it for you. You get to choose the paint, the carpeting, and the floor tile in the bathroom. It is very nice. The staff is very accommodating. They have many activities. There are programs in the auditorium weekly. There are games, i.e., people play bridge and mahjong. There is a bus that will take you shopping once a week to various places. It changes each week. There are two doctors on-call. There is a nursing home with 59 beds in it. It is a complete facility.

Our review could take several pages because we are happy with Proctor Place. It is the home for us. We met here and are now happily married. The entire Proctor community, our "extended family", celebrated with us. We are very happy living here!

I Want To Believe Everybody Knows My Name is the theme song from Cheers. Proctor Place is a friendly place where everybody knows my name. Within a few days after I moved here, all of the staff and residents knew my name, made me feel welcome and part of the Proctor Family. Delicious meals are served 3 times a day. I can sit anywhere with anyone. I have the choice of concerts, movies, crafts, games, writing stories and study groups. I am encouraged to take part. Proctor's healthcare staff was so professional, loving, caring and encouraging after I broke my leg. I was able to move back into my apartment as soon as I was healed. To this day, everybody knows my name and they greet me as a friend.

Our choice to move here was because of the convenience of the location. There is nursing care when needed and the transportation to medical appointments are included if needed. The place has handy food sevices within the complex too. There is a facility to do the laundry where laundry services are included. If one wishes, housekeeping is included. They also have a lot of activities plus the friendly attitudes of all the employees. Of course, no more snow shoveling, leaf raking or grass cutting. There is so much help here in Proctor Place!

I love Proctor Place. The list of reasons is long. First is the personal attention they give. Every employee soon learns your name. Then, the dining room personnel will have your place set with any special needs. Many of the staff have worked here more than 30 years. If they are happy, so are the residents. I feel so safe and comfortable here. Proctor Place is the best.
