The facility is wonderful and up kept very well. The staff on the other hand is a different story particularly the afternoon CNA’s. I was talking to one of the girls I didn’t get her name but she had purple hair, she could barely understand what I was asking for because she was so high and reeked of pot. I honestly thought about moving my mother out but we can’t afford another place. Just sad to think of the care the patients are receiving.

My mother-in-law is in Heritage Woods of Manteno. We chose them because of location and the ratings. She's in a studio right now, but we're on a list for a one-bedroom. It has her bed, her personal belongings, a little kitchenette, and a big bathroom. The staff is very helpful and very concerned, and they communicate well. The dining room looks nice, but because of COVID, they weren't really bringing them down there. But she said the food was good. With COVID, they don't have many activities. They're just starting to open up, so she hasn't really done any activities yet, but they have arts and crafts, which she likes, and she looks forward to doing that.

Heritage Woods of Manteno is the one that we're working with. It wasn't a really long visit. They took us to two different rooms, a studio, and then a one-bedroom. They showed us a store, and they showed us where we could have gatherings at. Like if we want to have a birthday party for my mom or something, they showed us all those rooms. The staff took us down by the dining area and we saw that. Because my mom needs some financial aid to get in there, so they're helping us get through that, too. The staff was very knowledgeable, very polite, and very pleasant. She kept telling us, "Don't worry, your mom will be taken good care of here." They seemed like very nice people. The place is clean and organized. It was very nice. I didn't see anything out of place. The tour was very thorough. They showed us a theater room. The place seemed clean and pleasant. I think my mom will be happy there.

We are going to Heritage Woods of Manteno. We chose it because they have transportation to doctors appointments, and they will take Medicaid. All the staff that we have met have been very nice, and I feel very comfortable around them. We just like the rooms. They are a good size, but I could use a bigger one. I am still having to give up a lot of my things here at home to move in. We are getting a 2-bedroom apartment. We visited the dining room and the kitchen area. We talked to the cook, but we did not taste anything. The dining area was roomy and nice. The tables were separated quite a bit. They were very clean when I was there.

We chose Heritage Woods of Manteno because they accepted Medicaid and they had a two-bedroom for my parents. Because of COVID, we couldn't see some of the facilities, and the activities they offer right now are very limited. They'll have quite a few ones when they get up and going again. We didn't see the two-bedroom because there was somebody living in it.

Heritage Woods of Manteno is great. Mom is enjoying it. She enjoys being around other people and having places where she can walk indoors that's safe. She's doing great, and we like it. People do the laundry for her, but she has the opportunity to do her own. There's a little library and she's making use of that. She enjoys the hair salon, making new friends, and plays bingo. The food is very good with lots of variety and good choices and she's enjoying it.

Heritage Woods of was a very beautiful place. We saw friends of ours who are over there, and they are happy there. It was a very pleasant place. We went there twice. The staff who assisted us the first time was a lady, and she was very straightforward and very knowledgeable. The second time, it was a young man, and he was very good too. He gave us a clear picture of what finances we would have to have and everything. From what we observed, they had very good dining facilities, and the waiters and waitresses were very friendly. We sat and had a meal there, we checked out the room of a friend that has a husband and wife room, and everything looked beautiful.

I was on the waiting list of the Heritage Woods. It was a really nice place. I liked that they would do all your meals and had activities, like bingo and games that we could play. They went out on outings and had buses that would take you to appointments. The people that provided the care were OK. They had a nurse on duty there to make sure that they were taking their medicine and stuff.

Heritage Woods of Manteno has a year-long waiting list, but it's very nice. A year-long waiting list is kind of unrealistic. It's very close to where I live. It's really clean, the staff's friendly, and they have good daily activities, like bingo and crafts. The pricing is reasonable. They have a really nice dining area. The rooms were really spacious and had a lot of storage areas or closet space. They have studios and one-bedroom apartments there. Their grounds are very well kept.

Heritage Woods of Manteno is state-owned and they accept Medicaid. The facility is very nice; even the people are very nice. It is a clean place. The staff who assisted me was very accommodating. I am transferring to this facility because the other facility I am in now is costing me too much money.
