Our experience with Clarendale of Mokena has been very good so far. Mom-in-law is adjusting well. She's playing a lot of cards and everybody is very nice to her. They have entertainment in the pub there. They have outings to restaurants. It's close to a bunch of stores, so they do shopping. They play bunco, bingo, and Kings in the corner. The place is very clean and very well-kept. Mom-in-law said food is a hit or miss, but they always have an option of just sandwiches and things if she doesn't like the entrees. My husband and I ate there and the food was very good. We had turkey sandwiches, burgers, and fries. The staff has been really good, too. Mom-in-law likes everybody. It's just expensive (they all are) for an elderly to live in a decent place like that.

We liked Clarendale of Mokena, but they had no availability. It was clean and friendly. They had a theater, an exercise room, libraries, and nice areas to sit down and relax.

I thought Clarendale of Mokena was very clean and spacious. They had a lot to offer and a lot of common areas. The rooms were fine. The assisted living was a little smaller than the independent living, but I thought they were nice. Brigitte was extremely knowledgeable, and she was very good. I did not taste the food, but we were able to look at the menu. It does have a pond in the back, right on the side.

Clarendale of Mokena was a great place. I liked the facility and the layout of it. It looked clean and the services seemed to be very good. They had a deli and various areas for guests to sit and talk to residents. They had plenty of amenities and activities. The rooms were beautiful and everything was very nice. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place for someone to be cared for.

We will choose Clarendale of Mokena for my dad because of the location to me, the location in my home, and the atmosphere and the people that I worked with there. Bridget was my main contact, and I also worked with Katherine. I like the space, I like how modern and up to date the rooms were, the rooms were spacious and more modern than other assisted living places I visited. I liked what they had to offer and I like the people I met. I met the nursing staff and the sales staff, so I was pretty happy with it overall.

Clarendale seemed very upbeat, and very bright. The setting was ideal. They have views of the lake, and they have views of the tree line. They back up to some wetlands so nobody will build right behind them on either end and side. It was just a pleasant experience. We talked about assisted living and independent living where we thought it would be great, and ideal that if my sister progressed, they would move her into independent living if she got past the assisted living guidelines. The person who gave me the tour was very upbeat. She was humorous, and she was great to work with. The rooms were very nice. We saw different sizes for different situations. The downfall of both of these is that she would have to go up on the elevator, and she is not a person who rides elevators because she's very claustrophobic. So we're going to have a hurdle to overcome in any of these places that we've seen. The rooms were more than adequate, and they had windows that brightened up the area. They did give us a complimentary pecan pie, those little ones. I don't know where it came from, whether it was there, or somewhere else, but it was very good. They have a movie room where they have popcorn and sort of like a theater. They have the bingo and board games going on. They have a bar that you can go in and socialize with other people. They have the bistro where if you don't want a hot breakfast or a hot meal, you can go and get a sandwich or whatever, they're at the Bistro and eat. They provide tables out there. There's a cafeteria, and it looked adequate and clean. At the time we were there, I didn't see any personnel, I just saw the people in there eating, and they seemed to be enjoying everything. They have a pool table, which doesn't interest her, but it's there. They have the physical therapy people that are there. They have the beauty shop. There are a lot of things provided. I really liked it. It's a little overpriced in my opinion. It is the highest priced-one we've looked at.

Clarendale of Mokena was a lovely place. It was gorgeous. The apartments were very nice as well. I only saw one style in the memory care facility, so I don't know any more than that. It was very sufficient, very nice in space, had windows, private bath, light, airy, and very cheerful. I only met one person and she was very thorough. She knew her business of Clarendale, but that's the only person I met, so I can't say much about the staff. She was sales-oriented and was trying to get us to commit to having my mother there and that's the only person I met. They had several outdoor courts and I couldn't experience them because it was fall, but they looked like they had chairs and tables out there and safety measures, so the safety of the individuals were taken into account. They can't get out or in without permission from the staff. It's a very lovely community that they have created, not only for memory care, but just elderly people who do not want to have the full responsibility of their home anymore. They've put a lot of effort into creating social settings for the individuals. It's just that right now the COVID has shut a lot of that down. They can't do a lot of what they are capable of because of the problems that we're dealing with.

Clarendale of Mokena has independent living, assisted living and memory care all on the same building. So you got a lot of action, you see people coming and going. They have a cool layout, and even though the memory care has their own world there, it was nice. The girl or marketing director was topnotch. Since there's independent living too, there are buses waiting for people, it was a very active lobby with a lot happening instead of just people sitting or standing. It had a nice atmosphere in that respect. The problem is when you've got memory care, you don't want to go up the elevator with a 4-digit number on your room.

I visited Clarendale of Mokena. It was a very pleasant visit, we got to eat lunch there, and it was a lovely place. However, it was too far away from home. The lunch was very good. They had a good number of activities and outings. It was a very nice place.

I felt that this facility provided excellent care and each resident had their own room and bath. I felt the price range was extremely high and out of range for many people. It also seemed like they had a base price and then there were a lot additions tacked on that to make it even higher. I would place my husband in this facility if I could afford it.

This place has changed. It use to run so functional, but current administration has ran it to the dirt. No staff, no nurses, my love one waiting 30-40 Minutes for help to the bathroom. 5000.00 down the drain. Moved out.

Clarendale of Mokena was very nice and very well-presented. If they had had availability, I probably would have put my husband in there. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and informative. The only negative was the rooms seemed rather small and cramped, but the idea is they're not supposed to spend a lot of time in the room so they can get active. They have a beauty shop, and the assisted living has a really nice area for casual dining outside of the regular cafeteria. They have a schedule of activities, and they have full stuff scheduled all day.

GHThis is a great location next to local conveniences, and has beautiful grounds. I’ve toured several other places but the people here seemed happier. For the price, it’s consistent with almost anything that offers similar amenities.

Clarendale of Mokena is very nice and upscale-looking, but very expensive. They have exercises, parties, tours, and all the regular stuff that senior communities have. I have eaten there once and it was fine, but my mom complains that the soup is salty. She loves soup, but they don't ever make home-made soup. The only complaint we have about the place is that the staffing turnover is ridiculous. They never have the same nurse for more than a month at a time, because they don't pay them enough. Her room was very nice, she liked it a lot, but we had to get her out of there because she couldn't afford it.

I love Clarendale of Mokena. I wish I could live there. It's on the top of the list. It is fairly new, smells nice, and in a beautiful area. The rooms are gorgeous. You don't have to go out for anything. They showed me an exercise room, which was nice. There's the beauty shop and the salon. If I could afford to live there, that's where I would be.

The staff has given our family such peace of mind. We know our mother is in good hands. This is a TOP NOTCH facility. The care team members are caring, kind, and energetic. Every staff member we have met has been kind, thoughtful and empathetic to any needs or concerns we may have. Our Mom actually loves it here. She is now social. She often participates in the daily activities. She looks forward to going on bus trips. The care here could not possibly be better. We are confident that Clarendale of Mokena is providing the best care and service to our mother.

My Uncle lives here at Clarendale in Independent Living. He enjoys the events and get togethers that are held here. He enjoys the friendly staff and residents that live here. Very clean and we'll kept lobby, dinning room and his apartment. He also enjoys a cocktail every now and then in the lounge and has been known to play a game of pool when he gets together with his buddies. I don't worry about him like I would if he were still living in his house all alone. I always feel welcome here while visiting him!!

I liked Clarendale of Mokena. It's clean and it looked like a hotel, but it was very warm looking. The staff was very friendly. Everybody looked happy. The grounds were very clean and very pretty. I only went into a studio. It was small, but bright and very clean.

My mother is a resident at Clarendale of Mokena. We are very happy with this facility. It is well organized, the staff is great, food is great, lots of activities, nurses on each floor, and very clean and new. I am comforted by the fact that my mother is well cared for and the quality of her later years has greatly improved since she is living at Clarendale. I would highly recommend this facility.

My father is in Clarendale of Mokena. It is very nice and clean. The staff is very good, very attentive, and very patient. They have several things that they do during the day. They do completing sentences. They play bingo and do arts & crafts. They do keep them busy most of the day which is good. The food is very good. They do offer a couple of choices. If there is nothing that they like, they will go and get them a sandwich or burger or whatever they want.

We’ve seen Clarendale. It was very nice, but it was more of a corporation, and I felt it was a little bit more on the pricey side. The rooms were newer, a lot bigger, nice, and clean. There weren’t a lot of people out.

We went to Clarendale of Mokena, and it was too big for my 95-year-old mother to go around. We were not able to look at the rooms, and the price was really high for her. It was not suitable for her. The place was very nice and clean.
