The tour at The Carrington at Lincolnwood was nice. It's a newer facility. It's very clean and very bright. All the people there seemed very friendly. There were a lot of different activities. There were a lot of options, but ultimately, it's a combination of mom preferring to stay home but also the issue of being a minority. She's Asian and there were some Asians there as well, but not many. Her English isn't that good, so she wouldn't feel as comfortable being there. The staff was very good, very helpful, and gave us a lot of information. We did go back to visit it again, just to review again, because there were some different options. She was very good. She took her time and answered any questions that we might have had. I was very satisfied with that. The rooms were a studio or a one-bedroom. They had chair yoga, pool exercises, arts and crafts, movie nights, and church services.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood was very, very bright and had lots of activities going on. It's a very cheerful place. There's a washer and dryer in the unit as well as a dishwasher, and a full kitchen with all those amenities. It's very nice. Carolyn was the one that gave me the tour and she was nice, very knowledgeable, and very cordial as well.

We toured The Carrington at Lincolnwood. It was laid out where there would be too much walking. The staff was a little too pushy. There's too much of a sterile look, and it's too spread out. We looked at the place, but we didn't choose it. In terms of location, it's near grocery stores, shopping malls, hospitals, and restaurants.

The rent went up and full dining services are still not available and they charge for delivery when the lunchroom is closed! There are clicks among staff and residents that exclude many. Staff turnover is great. I really miss the old staff that was kinder and gentler. Life Enrichment manager gossips with the residents about other staff members and residents. Not everyone is included (those in walkers, wheelchairs, or are shy etc) in activities and efforts aren't made to make ALL residents feel included. More effort needs to be made to get them out of their shell. There is a charge for everything. Feels more like a hotel than anything.

My mother-in-law is going to The Carrington at Lincolnwood. We toured it, and we already put a deposit down. We saw assisted living and memory care. She will be going to memory care. She is not qualified for assisted living. They were very friendly, helpful, and outgoing. They provided a personalized tour of the entire facility, assisted living, and memory care. They worked with us to meet my mother-in-law's needs. Their onsite doctors and nurses were basically the deciding point. Greg, who was the counselor, was fantastic. It's one of the cleanest facilities that I toured. It was very clean and well-kept with no wear and tear. It was just very well maintained. The facilities are modern, clean, secure, and pretty.

I'm very happy with The Carrington at Lincolnwood. It's a newer facility, it seems very nice, and has a lot of activities. The amenities, facilities, the rooms, the whole building or property, and the grounds seem very nice. It wasn't pet-friendly. I was very impressed. I met only like three different people, and the person who gave me the tour was awesome. I interacted with a couple of other staff members; as we were walking around she pointed out who they were.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood is absolutely beautiful, but I have determined I am not ready. The tour was great, it was very thorough and very pleasant, and I saw everything. It was not a hard sell, very positive, and it was a very good experience. The community is absolutely beautiful. The apartments that I saw were gorgeous, so are the facilities, the activities, and the building itself. It was a very, very positive experience. The rooms were lovely and the place looked very clean and very well-kept. The staff was very, very genuinely friendly. I saw a lot of amenities and some activities, but because of COVID, it was somewhat limited participation. The dining area right now is closed, but I know the people who live there said the food is good.

I was impressed with the size of the rooms and the amenities at The Carrington at Lincolnwood. I liked it so much. There were five or six different rooms and floor plans, and so you had your choice of that many. The apartments were large, and it had a washer and dryer in it. The staff member who gave us the tour was very cordial, informative, and very helpful. She referred me to a gentleman connected with the VA to help me with my finances. The facility is three years old, so it's also new.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood was very lovely and clean. The apartments were much larger. There was not a lot going on. All of the residents were under restriction at that time. They have had some issues with COVID in that particular building, so they were being extremely careful. The apartment was lovely. Out of all of them that we had seen, it was probably one of the largest, and the layout was very conducive to what my friend was looking for. The people that greeted us were very nice. The only person we dealt with at all was the sales person who gave us the tour. I glanced at their outside area, and they were having a concert or something out there that day. They were doing some socially distanced stuff, but we hadn't really spent time there. The staff showed us their workout area and their pool area, so that was very nice.

When my husband and I went to The Carrington at Lincolnwood we were pretty impressed. It looked like we were walking into a hotel rather than an independent living, assisted living, or a senior living place. We were impressed with the rooms. We didn't realize that each room had their own washer and dryer, so we kind of liked that. Everything that they offer the seniors we were impressed with. The only thing negative that my husband and I thought was the price range. Maybe the price was out of my aunt's price range. It was a beautiful place. The day that we went, they had taco day for the seniors, which was really cool. We got to see that. We were happy to see any senior coming in and out of the building; their temperatures were being taken. We were impressed that they had told us they had no COVID cases. The only thing would have been the price. I understand that here you are walking into an apartment with your own kind of washer and dryer, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances. I just thought that it probably just out of our price range. The guy who showed us around was really nice. He had his mask on and he showed us around. Another thing that impressed us was the pool. Other than the price, this place is amazing.

I've visited The Carrington at Lincolnwood. I like that it's a new place. They have the people with dementia in one section, and I like the way they interacted with them. I like that community a lot. The lady that was showing me around, she was just great. She's been calling me to make a follow up. The rooms are big and they are good. My husband's room is a studio. The space, and they way they had them set up, I really liked it. The location is fabulous because it is within the city, and I thought it was ideal. They showed me the menu and I saw the dining room where they eat. It is a nice sizable room, spacious, and beautiful.

If we're going to move, we'd probably go to The Carrington at Lincolnwood. It's close to us personally and to our interests, the place is very new and very nice, I've been there a couple of times and I have a contact there. It goes from a regular retirement community, to assisted living, to memory care so that's pretty well covered although it doesn't have skilled nursing. It's very pleasant, it has very nice grounds and we can take the dogs. I have not eaten there but my friends who live there say that the food is very good. You can go to the dining area if you're in the regular retirement community. The assisted area also have their own communal dining facility. They have lots of stuff, they have a pool, exercise facilities and classes. When I was there there's a committee of people there, and their summer thing is showing classic movies in their little movie theater. It's a very nice community with very nice people. The representative that I've dealt with is very nice, but it seems the staff is very attentive and pleasant. It's not really perfect or anything, but for me I have found it very pleasant. And if I would have to go to a retirement community, it's definitely one that I would consider.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood was very well put together. It's a newer facility and it's very comprehensive. They have newer rooms and newer equipment. The layout is very open, very sunny, and has more open spaces. We saw the exercise area, the pool area, and a list of their activities. They were playing bingo when I was there and they had a big projection of it for people that have visual problems. They were doing a lot more accommodations for various people with various disabilities. All the doors had automatic entries. I was very impressed with the staff. They seemed to know all the residents. The menu looked good, and the dining area was very attractive, very sunny, light, and spacious. They have Alzheimer's care there as well.

My father moved into The Carrington at Lincolnwood, and it's a brand-new place. They have the basic services everybody has, and if you want extra services, you have to pay for it, which is fine. They have 2 meals a day which are included, and my father finds it more than enough. They have quite a few activities, physical as well as recreational activities, and he's settling down and getting adjusted. They only open 9 months ago, and it's not full yet. There's nothing really bad there, it's a beautiful place, and the grounds are beautiful. They seemed to be very accommodating, it's very easy for my father to deal with them, and get what he needs. The apartments are not spacious, but they're comfortable, and have a nice kitchen and balcony. It's a beautiful dining area, its very clean and very nice, but they have a little bit of a problem with staff turnover. The food is okay, it's not 5-star cuisine, but it's okay.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood is brand new, stunning, and beautiful; however, it's all private pay, so they do not transition over to Medicare in the event someone runs out of money, which is the only drawback. They have beautiful studios and one-bedrooms with brand-new granite countertops and balconies. It's a place I'd live. They weren't open yet or completely done. There were no residents at the time, so I couldn't see the interaction. The staff who toured us was very nice, wasn't pushy, very informative, and gave us a lot of good tips.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood was an excellent facility with beautiful grounds. The young lady who assisted us was excellent, specific to what my mother needed, and cared a lot about the family. She was great. The property was immaculate and each apartment was spacious and perfect for my mom. It was a very beautiful place. They had everything and anything that you could think of that your loved one would want, like a swimming pool, a workout room, and four places to eat. The community was very safe and provided EMS assistance on the grounds. They also had transitional living, so if my mom needed to move out of independent living into any assisted care, they had that available. It was perfect. The staff was fabulous, very friendly, and attentive. They care and wanted to know everything about my mom. It was fantastic.
