I will be moving into Melody Living Lake in the Hills. It's a beautiful place. It's new, and I love the idea of having a little balcony. I have nothing to say against it. They gave us lunch and it was very nice. They have a lot that will be going on. They have a movie theater where they show movies, and the seats looked great. They're regular seats you would find in a theater. The staff during the tour was wonderful. She was really, really nice, very sweet, answered all our questions, and seemed very knowledgeable about everything. The facility was very clean. The food was delicious. At the time we were there, there was not much going on except for lunch. The apartment layout was beautiful, and that's what convinced me. It's a one-bedroom and it's very nice. It has everything you need.

I toured Melody Living Lake in the Hills. I was treated very well. It's a lovely, very modern environment. It's a little bit like a nice modern hotel feel, so it didn't have quite the access to green space that we were interested in. The staff was very nice. The amenities were all fine. Everything was in good condition, high quality, modern, and aesthetic. However, we wanted something a bit more of a homey feel, and green space, and that was not available there.

My dad will be moving into Melody Living Lake in the Hills. It's a place that we really felt would care about Dad. Not only were the people very kind and reaching out to him with a very caring sense, they had a philosophy over there that I just loved, and that was to inspire the residents to participate in activities. They look at the individual as still on their journey with a progressive continuing sense of life, which I really appreciated. They had a men's club and they had a number of men. They had about 25 men already, and they're only two years old. The activities director was jolly and joyful and had a very nice attitude. They treated us to lunch and we got to meet the chef. He's new also, and he was wonderful. They had a wonderful soup and Dad ordered the special of the day, which he enjoyed very much. They had a standard menu, but they had a special every day. The dining room was large and very nice with a wall of windows. So, there's a lot of light coming in. He could sit wherever he wants to when he goes in for a meal, he's not assigned a table with the same people. His studio apartment was very nice with a nice closet space, a large sink area and counter, and room enough in the shower and toilet area that you could get a walker in and move around comfortably. It was very adequate for a dresser, a bed, a chair, and a little table. It was just beautifully arranged and nicely painted. We were very impressed with it. There was a nice big window letting light in. Overall, the facility was lovely. They had a nice activity room with a wall of windows, and everything in terms of their activities was in the center of the building.

Melody Living Lake in the Hills was our favorite location so far. It was very clean, they had a pipe burst from the cold, but everything was still separate. They were doing a really nice job of working around it. They said they had an outbreak of COVID, so people were in their rooms, but the facilities in the common areas looked really nice. They had a nice outdoor area as well, and the coordinator we worked with went above and beyond to make us feel like it could be a good fit. They did an awesome job. They had a movie theater and there were areas you could rent out if you wanted to have a party space or something.

Melody Living Lake in the Hills was new and had the right assisted living component to it. They had very friendly and personable staff. It's also very clean. They had daily specials but you could work off the menu. They had a physical therapy on-site, a salon, a bunch of wonderful patios (with stuff for the kids who are visiting), a little bistro area, and a variety of dining rooms.

I looked at Melody Living Lake in the Hills. It was very nice too, but the distance was the issue. I didn't want to travel that far. The staff was very nice, and on that day very attentive as well. The tour was good. The rooms were nice and well laid out. It was brand new.
