My brother and my mom moved into Senior Suites of Joliet. The rooms are all different, they're very nice, usually newly decorated, it looks like when people move in the carpeting is either clean or brand new, and the appliances seem to be new or well kept. Some rooms are really large, and some rooms are small/tiny, and so it depends; they all seem to work. There's not a lot of amenities there, and I think it needs updating. There's a lot of work to be done to improve it to give the seniors that are not really out and about something to do.

Senior Suites of Joliet is a huge building. Literally, you look out the window and you can look at Harrah's Casino. The facility is very nice. It has beautiful rooms. They had an empty one-bedroom apartment. It was being rented, but they hadn't moved in yet, so they showed it to us. It had huge kitchens, huge baths, and bedrooms. Everything was nice. The windows and the carpeting were very nice. They have charters that can take you grocery shopping and all these places that you want to go. There are restaurants that deliver there if you want to order from them because they are right there in Joliet. The room was nice. The woman who took us on the tour was very, very nice. All the floors are the same cost, which I thought was very convenient. You don't have to wait for a room to open on a certain floor. The convenience, and the parking to get into the place, being that it's downtown is very accommodating. They don't have food there. You have a full stove and fridge and you cook your own meals.

I don't like the Senior Suites of Joliet because it was not very clean even though they said they were clean. Also the windows were facing walls of the other building. The staff was good and they were really helpful. I saw two options of rooms, a studio and a 1-bedroom. They're standard, nothing fancy. The location is good and it's right downtown; however, going to work, there is too much traffic and it would take me almost 45 minutes to get there. Senior Suites of Joliet is for the people who don't work and who don't commute. They have food but it's delivered; they don't have a kitchen. Every floor has a washer and dryer room; however, there's no medical staff. I don't think they have activities, but maybe playing cards or bingo. They have stoves in the rooms, so you can cook there.

Senior Suites of Joliet was a friendly community, but I didn't see that many people there. I saw their tenant lounge and the staff member showed me the dining area. The apartment had a carpeted floor, but it was not furnished. The kitchen area was nice. It was a pleasant one-bedroom. They do not have a medical person on-site, but if you sign up with homecare from different agencies, they can come in and check on you and clean up from time to time. Once a month they have a person that comes by and will vacuum and clean your apartment, do the dishes, and do your laundry. They have a laundry room on each floor, but you're responsible for your own meals. You get your own stove, refrigerator and microwave, and there's plenty of closet space. One part of the building is older and the newer part is renovated. They have a nice parking lot for the tenants and a nice walkway. There's a secure building on top of it.

Senior Suites was a very nice, well-kept building. The girl we dealt with was outstanding, very accommodating, and very polite. We just happened to walk in, and she gave us a tour and returned phone calls. However, we weren't interested in living in downtown Joliet.

You keep avertising this Organization and they have not contacted me since my visit. I guess they do not have any openings. I am still on their waiting list but why keep advertising them and they have no openings. I gave them a one star because they are not communicating with their applicants.

Do not let your elderly family member live here. The management refuses to permit control individually of the units heat and air conditioning, despite stating that they do in their brochure.Today my unit is 95 degrees and climbing and they refused to turn the air conditioning on until the 1st of June.. if you have any kind of health issues this is not the place for you.

Senior Suites of Joliet seemed conservative, pleasant, clean, and neat. I saw the studio and one-bedroom apartment, the exercise room, and laundry area. The management seemed professional.

We're on a waiting list for Senior Suites. It was very clean and nice. It had a big, open area with chairs, couches, a fireplace, and TV; a small kitchen downstairs; and individual apartments with their own kitchens and baths. I found the staff to be very open and friendly, and I liked the convenience of having parking and a secure entrance. I liked that they had elevators and a move-in elevator for the bigger furniture.

I did visit Senior Suites of Joliet. I was not impressed with this place at all. I don’t think it looked clean as it could be. I made an appointment, and the lady didn’t show. I never got to see a room or anything. I made the appointment, she said that she would be there, but she wasn’t there when I got there, and she never called me back.

I really love Senior Suites, and I enjoyed the housekeepers; they were so good in explaining and touring around. I was very pleased with it. The apartments were small than the others, but it’s very nice. The washers, the dryers, and the apartment were painted. Everything was just superb. I was very pleased with it. I like it because it’s very secure, they have a parking space, and they’ve got a nice area.

Senior Suites was located near family members, so I was very pleased and put my name on their waiting list. They had a very large-screen TV where they do movie nights, a nice library, and dining tables used to play cards or whatever. They do not offer a meal program, but the apartments had a stove, refrigerator, and plenty of space. I was impressed with the size of the apartment and the option of having a tub or a walk-in shower. The staff was very informative, so easy to talk to, and very cordial with the residents.

At Senior Suites of Joliet, everybody was nice and friendly. It is right downtown and a block away from a casino. Across the street, there is the Joliet Historical Museum. The lady who took us around was really nice. We met with the residents. They were either sitting downstairs in the common room or waiting to get picked up by somebody. We had a nice day that day.
