The direct care staff are adequate but the administration staff are manipulative and deceitful. After agreeing to accept my sister-in-law into a medicare bed they assured me that they would have a medicaid bed for her once that process was completed. A few weeks later I received a call saying she would have to be moved due to no medicaid bed being available. I jumped through hoops and found a new facility for her. When I contacted Rosewood to coordinate her transfer they again told me that after further investigation they would have the medicaid bed available. I thought it was all settled at this point only to be contacted shortly thereafter and informed that there was no medicaid bed available and she would have to be moved. I live out of state and had the POA on her health issues. I spoke to the Administrator and she stated that there was a miscommunication between her Staff about the bed space and that they would assist me in finding another facility. Bottom line is they are very unprofessional and I believe were simply taking advantage of the medicare monies until they ran out and then wanted her out. God was looking out for her and she passed away in their care without having to be transferred to another facility. If you choose this facility get EVERYTHING in writing before placing someone there.

I visit my friend at Rosewood Care Center of Edwardsville every day, and she looks like she's well kept, kept clean, and well fed, but I don't see too many staff to assist and interact with her every time I'm there. It's a nice nursing home. I didn't meet a lot of the staff, but the ones I met were nice. My friend is in a big, clean, private room.

My ex-husband is at Rosewood Care Center, where they are taking good care of him. The place is clean, sanitary, and didn’t smell stinky. The patients were smiling, and the caretakers were talking to them. This is the best place I’ve seen so far.

My mother is currently stauing at Rosewood. I am very impressed with this facility. First of all, it smells nice. Secondly they treat my mother like a person. They are very caring and considerate. If they are not doing something I think they should be doing, I just mention it and they take care of it. Everyone is very nice and respectable. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Thanks for all you do Rosewood!

My sister just went in last night. Pretty diningroom. They can only shower 2 times a week and no one told her it was her day so she can not shower for days now. She wet her bed in the middle of the night, they did come and strip the bedclose, but did not disinfect the plastic mattress. Just threw a clean sheet over the pee, and said it will absorb in, in a few day. First night medications were not ready. Her anti-biotic is an IV, her port is in her upper leg, they wanted to pull her gown up and hook it up in the dinning room. Barnes Dr's cap and gown up with her for the most part, to protect her from more infetion. Not much to do. and meals are far apart and not very big portions.

Rosewood is a very nice nursing home facility. The accommodations are comfortable and spacious. The care there is friendly and respectful. The environment is very calm and quiet. Perfect for recovery. I think the only thing I might criticize is that there didn't seem to be much of a community or many companionable activities going on. But my experience was very nice there and my great aunt liked it as well even though at the time she was already quite anti-social.
