I went to the Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor. Everybody there seemed very friendly. The residents all seemed happy. I didn't see anybody that didn't look happy. The staff were nice. They were good, too. They don't supply food though. The building looked good on the inside and the outside. If you have a nurse, your nurse can come.

My mother has lived at Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor for over 20 years. She was happy here until bed bugs moved in. After the 1st round of treatments, my mother found bugs. Management insisted she was seeing things. Finally, they conceded her unit was infested. Inspections & treatments were poorly scheduled w/ insufficient communications & no shows throughout this 2-year ordeal. The story now is that tenants were "refusing entry' for exterminators. That is not true in my mother's case. She has never denied entry. We've spent thousands to remedy this, including lawyer fees. Their insurance, Travelers, stated the bldg was not at fault & refuses to compensate us for any costs. They refuse to remove carpet & inspect the floors underneath where bed bugs hide & survive treatment. They required that her bed be removed & this 86-year-old woman slept on a couch for months w/ her possession in storage. Now, I'm trying to get confirmation that the unit is clear & emails are ignored. AVOID.

I went to Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor. I saw two suites, one that a resident recently moved out of, and they were redoing it, or doing some renovations, and then I saw a finished one as well. I thought the sizes were nice. It was a studio, and a one-bedroom. The width of everything was really good, and made things more accessible, like the size and the space of the door entrances, and the washrooms had a call button as well, which I thought was really great. I noticed they had a lot of affordances for residents' safety. The staff really gave me a good tour, she answered all my questions, and showed me the common areas, spaces which currently because of COVID are not being used, but they were all in really nice shape, and were nice spaces. Hopefully, they can be used again. They were upgrading things, she had mentioned that they were getting new TVs in the sitting room on the different floors, and they had recently gotten one for the sitting room downstairs. The person was really nice, she was really generous with her time, and that was really helpful. Everything was really well kept up. It wasn't the most modern, but everything was in good shape.

Senior Suites Ravenswood Manor was nice, but they lack parking space. Otherwise, the place was nice, and it looked clean. The building facility itself was good, but the staff was not good. I left a message, and I even talked to one of the girls down there who told me that she was kind of busy and will call me back within 5 minutes. But she never called me back, and I tried to reach them after that, but there was no answer.

I visited Ravenswood Manor (Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor). I liked it. It’s nice. The manager was a very nice person. They don’t offer meals and don’t have a lot of activities, just bingo once a week and that’s about it.

Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor is independent living. What I liked the best about it was its size. It’s not overwhelming and smaller. They had an elevator and easy access. It was very nice, clean, and had an at-home feel to it.

The one thing I like about Senior Suites is you have to have a key to get in. If not, they buzz you in. The building manager was very nice. I was in the social room, and there were three or four ladies down there and we got to talk. They might have asked them to come down to talk with me which I think was very nice. They knew I was coming. I had some coffee, and he gave me a doughnut which I thought was very nice.

The person who showed me the apartment at Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor was excellent. She was a very nice person, and she gave me thorough information about the facility. She also showed me one of the apartments, which was OK, but it was kind of small for me because of the kitchen. I just wanted a better kitchen. The facility is clean, and I could see that the residents are friendly. It was a nice enough place.

My name is Lisa Reed and I am the Vice President of Operations for the Senior Suites. I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your tour of Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor. I’m pleased to read you were very satisfied with our community staff and the information provided. I am however, sorry to hear that the kitchen of the apartment you toured did not meet your size expectations. We often find that our residents downsize prior to the move and thus ultimately the space is more than sufficient. In addition to your apartment we also have a spacious and well-appointed community room, which is available for socializing with other residents and can be reserved for family functions. In additional to the location in Ravenswood we have over 20 Senior Suites in Chicago if this location did not fully meet your expectations.
I can be reached at 312-673-4508 if you have any questions.

The Senior Suites of Ravenswood Manor assisted living facility looked really well-kept from the exterior. Our aunt has lived in the region for quite a while and would like to stay in touch with friends and family easily. We especially liked the park-like atmosphere of the grounds. Our aunt loves to tend the garden and we could see that she would be impressed as well. The patio areas also had ample places to host private parties. The main foyer had a lovely receiving area, reminiscent of a quaint country home. The communal areas all had interesting activities occurring, from reading to games and resident interactions. Events and outings scheduled include anything you can imagine - from restaurants, to art museums, the library, which our aunt particularly enjoys, to local films and crafts, fine dining and theater. They also host monthly birthday parties for residents at the facility which they encourage friends and family to attend. The living suites were all a nice size and did not seem cramped. They were also beautifully decorated. We could see that our aunt would be comfortable in any one of them. Each unit had individually controlled temperatures. The dining areas have many options. From more intimate to communal dining, resident can choose whatever they like - in addition to hosting guests in their own spaces. The food choices looked nutritious and delicious, as well as the regular snacks - offered continually. In all, this is a lovely facility with caring and attentive staff. All of the resident's needs appear to be met easily and efficiently, in a friendly and caring manner. It was clear that the residents enjoy living here.
