I am a resident of Senior Suites Garfield Ridge. As far as safety concerns, it's very safe. We had no COVID cases. There are about 80 apartments, and they have different levels. They have regular one-person apartments and they have it for two as well. They respond immediately to any problems you have if something goes out like if the air conditioner goes out or something, they come that day right away and they fix it. It's a pretty modern place. They have little kitchens where you can cook and do whatever you want. In the 1-bedroom apartments, they have a big bedroom that you could get your double-sized bed in there. They also have cabinets and whatever. I have a desk and five drawer cabinets, and a pantry even, plus another bookcase. It's pretty big. We have a nice area for your dining room and front room. In the bathroom, they have vertical and horizontal bars for assistance. They have two different pull cords, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, if you need help with an ambulance or anything, they come right away. They're very safe. That's what I like about it. Food can be included if you want it. We don't normally have dinner served there. It's an individual choice. The staff is wonderful. They're so congenial and they try to do everything they can to make you happy. They keep it pretty clean. We used to have activities before COVID, and they were very protective of us, and we could understand. But they're gradually coming back. They have housekeeping come in once a month. The laundry facilities and all your utilities are included in the rent.

The only thing I didn't like about Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge was that it's right on a busy street, on Harlem. You got trucks lined up down the street. The staff was very pleasant though. The facility was much better. It was brighter. It was more pleasing to the eye. I just saw a one-bedroom, and it was small, but it was nice. The facility was nice. It didn't have any paint chipping off the walls or anything like that. It was a nice layout. All my questions were answered and they were very professional. It was very clean, and bright, and had a cheerful atmosphere. The residents there seemed to be happy.

I wanted my cousin to be in the Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge. We did an in-person tour there. I liked the idea that it has walk-in showers with grab bars, they offer light housekeeping, they offer complimentary laundry, they have a laundry room on each floor. They had a little gathering area on each floor with tables and TV, and people could gather there and socialize. I liked the fact that they have a shuttle bus that takes the residents shopping once a week. I liked that it's a secure building. To enter the building, you have to have a key card. Each room comes with a complete kitchen, stove, refrigerator, and the residents do their cooking. They have a bus stop right in front of the building, an enclosed bus stop for people who don't have cars, and don't drive, can get on a bus and go wherever they have to go. The building seems to be well maintained. The staff was very, very helpful, very informative.

I was happy with Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge. I mentioned that my mother had section eight, and they said they have a process for that. They were very helpful and informative. It's very clean, and most of the employees were very professional. The outside appearance was very good, and there was a gated parking lot for the residents. It wasn't an institutional atmosphere.

I visited Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge. The building has been there for some time. I thought it was a little bit too small and compact for me. It was clean but needed a little bit of tidying up. The staff was professional. I did not see any activities. The dining area was quite nice, and the residents seemed to be comfortable.

I visited Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge. Everything was nearby, and it was in a good location. The facility layout was very nice and it was very well cared for, clean, and very well maintained. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and answered any question that I asked. The room was very nice. We looked at a studio that was too small for me, but it was nice.

Senior Suites-Garfield Ridge is the neighborhood that I’m from. It was a very clean and very pleasant facility. The people were wonderful. The 1-bedroom and the studio apartment had nice views and very clean halls. It was really nice, but they had no opening. I was put on the waiting list, and I waited a couple of months, but I just couldn’t wait any longer.

Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge is very busy, and I didn't see a lot of stores that seniors can go to. It was a very clean facility, and the manager I met was very accommodating; they answer any questions and assist you with any needs you may have. They can improve on parking. It's kind of frustrating because there's no place to park, and they didn’t inform me prior to me coming that there wouldn’t be a place to park. Parking is very limited, and you have to park on the street. The stores are also extremely far.

Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge's facilities were very clean and quiet. The girl there said that they check on all the seniors once a day. They call them, and if they don't answer, they check on them. They take them to the grocery store, and there was a lot that I remember liking there. I liked that it's clean and that he can go out and do his own thing. I think they're very high quality, and the seniors there seemed very happy. I think the cost is very economical. They have to supply their own furniture in the apartments.

I liked the Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge. I was impressed with that, I made a couple of friends there, the lady who took me around was very friendly, and I saw that it was a diverse community. I just really connected there, and that was my second choice.

We’re on a waiting list at Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge right now. It was very nice. The staff was very polite and took us up to see the whole suites. Everything was very clean. It was convenient because there was parking. They had a laundry facility and a big dining room.

Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge was wonderful. Ally was a wonderful person who took the time to talk to us, treated us kindly, made us feel comfortable, and almost made us feel like family. She was very personable, very knowledgeable, and took her time to talk to my mom even though Mom wasn't really coherent at that time. She showed Mom the different apartments. She's just a very smart and loving person and really made a very big difference. The dining area was nice, updated, clean, and large. Overall, it's a great facility. They have bingo, go out once a week to go shopping, have church services on Sundays, and pizza parties. They have a mini shopping day where a vendor will come in and set up a little store and the residents could come down and purchase stuff. The residents can eat in the dining area or take-out or cook in their rooms. People must try and go to that facility. They really need to take a look at this place.

Although the signing of the paperwork took some time, the office staff were very cordial and easy to deal with. Moved in most of relative's belongings seamlessly{with the valued help of Alonzo}. Resident not fully moved in yet, so can't fully grade the facilities until later time.

At Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge, the only thing that they have was a studio. They didn't have a one-bedroom. Anyway, the person there that day was really nice. As a matter of fact, she got me an appointment with another facility. At Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge, they didn't have any meals coming in, so you basically have to cook for yourself. They would take the residents to the grocery store, but we didn't talk about activities because I wasn't there that long. After I found they only had a studio, I basically left. The facility was nice, but it wasn't as nice as the other facility.

I’m at Senior Suites – Garfield. It’s a nice place. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable. I don’t eat there; I cook my own meals. They have activities, but I don’t participate. I am very happy with them. I’m committed there for a one year lease.

What stood out the most to us at Garfield Ridge was the personnel. They were helpful and concerned. They would walk you through every step. If you couldn't understand, they would explain it to you. They would tell you what had to be done. They took us to a model apartment. The place looked nice to me and my friend liked it. They had a lot of activities. However, the location wasn't where she really want it to be.
