I moved into Autumn Green at Midway Village. The people are nice and friendly and I feel safe. The staff was nice. They come to my apartment every Tuesday. The facility is clean. They have a gym. They had a barbecue this week. And they have a movie theater. It's a friendly atmosphere in here.

I found the building itself as well as the apartments / rooms to be very welcoming and spacious. The building had several common areas to socialize and make new friends or visit with family. The apartment was good in size and condition. Staff was very well informed and provided a listening ear as well as valuable infor I could share with other family members .

Autumn Green at Midway Village was excellent. The community is warm and inviting. The sales rep was very informative and kind. The facility offered what we needed regarding two bedrooms at a decent price. My mother wanted to be in the city, and she felt comfortable there, so that's why we went with it. The staff was very informative, very kind, and very personable. She took as much time as we needed, answered every single question and concern that we had, and was very attentive and relatable.

I visited Autumn Green at Midway Village. I liked the environment. The staff was nice. The residents seemed to like the environment that they were living in. Some were there for six or eight years, but they all really enjoyed themselves and felt like the staff took good care of them. I've seen the library and the exercise room. The dining area was very clean. The rooms were OK. They had the bathroom rail. They had the handicapped or the elderly bathroom, which is a plus. They had the drawstring for an emergency. The kitchen was very clean. I don't have anything negative about it. They were very hospitable to me and very nice. It was very clean and smelled clean. Everything was in place.

Everything that we saw at Autumn Green at Midway Village was fine. The apartments were beautiful and spacious. The hospitality on our tour was very good. Melissa was a great hostess. They offered us lunch, but the food was kind of bland. They had a courtyard, a library, a game room, a dining room, and a theater.

I went to Autumn Green at Midway Village. It was independent living, but they included the meal plan there, which I don't need. I liked the apartment very much. It was really nice, but they didn't have washing facilities in the apartment. The facilities were clean and the staff was super informative. Everything at that place looked very nice.

Autumn Green at Midway Village was nice and clean. The rooms were beautiful. The staff member who assisted me with the tour was really nice and welcoming. They had a nice dining area, and they had a cafeteria where you could see the cooks in the back preparing the food. They had arts and crafts, and they took them on trips to the grocery stores. They had another room where they could play games. They had a pool table in there and they had workout rooms.

I toured Autumn Green at Midway Village for my mom. It was clean, warm, and well decorated. The room that I saw was very nice. The person who assisted me was excellent. She did an excellent job of interviewing and showing the place. She was outstanding. She was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The dining area was good. It looked clean, nice, and sufficient. They have arts and crafts, movie nights, and games. There were some ladies who were playing cards while I was there, and some were getting their nails done in the salon area. There were a lot of activities. They had an exercise room, too.

We went to Autumn Green at Midway Village. They showed us a lot of the features of the place. We liked it. The only thing is we are thinking of relocating to a warmer area. The staff is very efficient. It's a very nice area, away from the traffic, and a quiet place. There is no problem with the façade. It's an accessible place.

I'm living in Autumn Green at Midway Village. Everywhere I believed is understaffed. It's pretty good because I've a couple of young ladies who come in and really help me. I get laundry, my help comes and washes my clothes, I get meals, they'll bring you breakfast up here and dinner, that's all you get for the day. The food is pretty good, the helpers are beautiful, Teresa who works here and gives our breakfast and stuff to us, she is beautiful, I have no complaints against them. They won't let anybody come in because of the coronavirus-19, my son can't come up, I'm in a wheelchair, she gave me the cat that he gave me, now they want me to get rid of the cat, now I can't do that he gave it to me, and she's no problem. The staff can't get here sometimes because they're so understaffed, you have to call down here 3 or 4 times to go bring somebody up.

I visited Autumn Green in Chicago, Illinois. If I were going to go into a senior living community, I would go to that one. It was very encouraging, I saw the units that they're offering me, I met the staff, and I met some of the people that are already living there. I was shown the property with the property management. I was shown the area and it was very encouraging. The rooms were very nice, neat, clean and fresh. They were big, roomy, light, and bright. The staff was very courteous, very professional and friendly. They were a very inviting community. They received me like an honored person. I had a sandwich and a lemonade because I got there at lunchtime. They had exercise for those who wanted it, they had outings to different parks, mall shopping, grocery shopping, parking, a fitness room, a library, and computers. It's very, very nice. If I would want to go anywhere, I'd go back there. The staff was very on task and on time, professional, courteous and friendly. They were everything that I would have wanted in a community to live in. The food was very good, light and healthy. I think they were extraordinary. If I could live there, I would go back there and get that living arrangement.

The first one we went to see was Autumn Green at Midway Village. They had a lot of amenities and a lot of things were interesting to me like gardening. At the time, and this was before Covid, everybody was interacting. They had a very nice eating area. We got to meet a lot of the residents. They had a beautiful apartment, too. My only concern is that, while we were walking, the floors were sticky. My feet were sticking to the floor and I didn't like that, but everything seemed clean. There wasn't anything dirty or cluttered. It was nice, but like I said, the only thing was the floor. There was no foul smell. Everything seemed OK; it's just that one little detail.

Autumn Green at Midway Village is independent but you can move up to assisted living. They were very nice there. The apartment was really nice, but they were kind of pricey. It was clean. They have really nice staff. The staff was wonderful. My father's still old, but not that old; he didn't like the feeling of so many old, old people around him. They all had walkers, they all need their help, and he's still more independent, so that kinda turned him off. They had everything. The meals are included, which I like, and also transportation if they needed to go anywhere. If they do need help with anything, it's all there. It was a good facility, but I think it was a little pricey for the area that it was in. The staff was excellent. We didn't try the food, but they sent us some desserts, so that was very nice, and the eating area looked really nice. The facility was clean and nice.

My mom was in Autumn Green at Midway Village. She was in a suite that had another person in a separate bedroom, it was very nice, and it was well kept. The staff was nice and she liked the place. Some days the food was good, and some days not so good, but overall I was happy with the place. She enjoyed going to the dining room and talked with the other tenants, but as far as activities go she only watched TV.

The person I spoke to at Autumn Green of Midway Village was pretty knowledgeable. It seemed like a very nice facility, and they have 1- and 2-bedrooms. There are a lot of amenities. They have little activities like movie days and movie nights, they go on outings, and you can paint your room a different color if you want. It was conveniently located to public transportation. The washer and dryer was down the hall on each floor. The staff was knowledgeable and seemed very friendly. The rooms were adequate in size, not too big, and not too small. They serve two to three meals a day.

Autumn Green at Midway Village has a dining room with all the meals every day for five days a week, an activity room for arts and crafts, their own shuttle bus to shuttle residents to and from doctors' appointments, stores, or anywhere they want to go, and a rehabilitation room for occupational and physical therapy, as well as other activities. It's really a nice facility. My mom has her own little apartment, which is probably about 800 square feet. She's has her own private bedroom, her own living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The staff is absolutely the most helpful, pleasant, and nice people I've met thus far in any community. They're about to remodel the whole public area at the end of this year. Another nice thing about the facility is that on the second floor it's all assisted living, so if your loved one does require more care, they just move up to the second floor. The food looks good.

I visited Autumn Green. Their hospitality stood out to me, and they seemed to be caring. The food was delicious, and the apartments were very nice. I talked to some of the residents who were very helpful. I wished my mother would decide to go, but she did not want to go. They had activities like arts and crafts, went shopping, and had an exercise facility and movie room. There was a calendar of events. It was a beautiful facility. If I was a senior and single, I would live there.

I visited Autumn Green at Midway Village. It was just off the corner of a very busy intersection and only four blocks south of the Midway Airport, so you could hear a lot of noisy trucks and airplanes taking off. It was in a very congested area. The people there were nice, but the external and the environment factors were the issue. However, it was clean, neat, and organized.

The person who toured me around Autumn Green at Midway Village was very pleasant, very nice and cooperative. The place was very clean and very well laid out. We met some of the people there and everyone seemed friendly. I'm hoping that I can get a spot there because I'm on the waiting list. The rooms were a little smaller than I prefer but they were neat, very clean, and very well maintained.

Autumn Green at Midway Village was really nice and clean but I didn't think my dad would fit in that community because it was a majority of one ethnic group. I cannot say anything bad about the place, it would have been my second choice. The rooms were modernized, like living in a hig-end condo. The staff was really nice. They were doing arts and crafts while I was there.

I have not moved into Autumn Green yet, but that’s where I’ve decided to be. The facility is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff seems helpful. It’s a new place, so the facilities are very nice. They have a gym and transportation that takes you around. They also have accommodation rooms for visitors. I know their security is very good and the maintenance seems to be very good as well.

I really like Autumn Green at Midway Village but I could not afford their price at $2,000. They have independent living and assisted living facilities. They provide three meals a day and they serve very good food. They have a doctor on staff. They have a beauty shop, a barber shop, and all other amenities.

I visited Midway Village. It was clean, safe, and secure with good security. It was within my budget, too. The rooms were not too small and not too large. They were average-sized rooms. The layout was very good. The staff was very nice and very helpful and took us on a tour and explained everything in good detail. I was very impressed. Residents were mostly in a community area watching television.

The staff at Autumn Green was terrific and very informative. They have nice apartments but the clients and the residents were bent and stoop over. Everything seemed dark and old. There was no joy there, so we were not impressed. The staff was very knowledgeable, very nice and explained everything. The woman I talked to was very knowledgeable and that was probably the best thing.

My mom is in Autumn Green. The staff is cooperative and caring, they care about the residents, and the facility is appropriate for seniors; it meets most of their needs. They have either a one-bedroom apartment for one person or a two-bedroom apartment where two people shared the living room and the kitchen, but each had their own bedroom. They have assisted living, which is what I like. One floor was assisted living, and the other floors were independent living. She is in an assisted living apartment. The food is OK, and all the residents eat all of their meals, so I am satisfied. She eats everything too. They have many activities there. They have a full calendar, and they have activities for family members also. They have carnivals, they play Bridge and Bingo, and they have a top company that comes to fix their hair every Saturday for the ladies or the men who want to get their hair cut or combed or brushed or whatever. They have a bus that comes, and they take them to the grocery store or to the shopping mall -- which is not far away -- and on out-of-town trips. So far, I like the facility and the diversity in the residents. They have residents from many different places, and I like that. They need to improve their communication with the family.

They were very kind and very helpful at Autumn Green. Everybody was wonderful, but we did not choose them because we needed something more one-on-one. We toured the rooms; they were very nice. My mother-in-law is in a wheelchair. They charge for every single thing they do, like if she needed to come downstairs, that’s a charge. If she needed to be fed 3 times a day, that’s a charge. The rooms are one fee, but everything else is extra. We did not care for that.

My mom is in Autumn Green, and it is fine. I think she will be needing more memory care because she has dementia. However, I feel comfortable with her there, and she feels comfortable too. They always have something going on there, even if it is not a special event. They have an activity room. They have games and computers. As far as I know, my mom is fine and content. Someone is always available, and they are friendly.

So far no problems, and she is doing pretty well at Autumn Green. The staff is very cooperative, friendly, and does everything that can help. She had a big bedroom, small kitchen, a dining area, living area, closet, and a little dresser. The food is where seniors eat. They have lots of activities, they even take them shopping and get the bus, or they take them to certain place. The place works for us so we could go and visit her since its closer to us, and it stood out to us. So far, so good.

Autumn Green is very nice. For the dependent senior, it is right. The staff was very nice. Everything was very nice. It's just it's not the right fit for my mother. It may, however, be a good fit for my aunt, who needs assisted living. I saw the exercise group, and I saw the fitness center. When I went, I saw them having lunch. I was able to see their community room. I thought it was an excellent location for people who need assisted living. I was impressed with it. It's a pretty nice area. It has its challenges, but I would feel safe in Autumn Green.

My uncle stayed at Autumn Green for about a week, and he really liked that place. However, it was difficult to get around there. Other than that, it was a nice facility. I was impressed with the staff there, and they actually wanted him to stay there. The room that he was in was a temporary room. It was almost like a duplex with a common living room and kitchen. It looked like they had individual bathrooms. It was clean, and I was impressed with their sanitation.

Autumn Green is nice. The price is a little steep though. I would love to get my parents in over there. The rooms are big. They are just like an apartment. They have a really nice living community there. That was what my mom was looking for. It's a little pricey, but I think they were more willing to work with me because my father is a vet. The dining area is excellent. The staff is accommodating. I have nothing negative to say about Autumn Green. Everything is really nice.

We attended the holiday dinner celebration that Autumn Green had. They had a little trio playing and there was desserts and champagne. We took mother to that and she enjoyed it. The problem with them is that they only have one floor that's actually assisted living, and there is a waiting list. Everyone seemed friendly from the people at the front desk to the entertainment director and the manager. They were all attentive and welcoming. It looked like it was clean and well-kept. I also liked the fact that they had the rehab room. If mother needed to come down and walk to work on her leg she could do it right there in the building on site. They also have a magazine that is called Daily Lifestyle, also what they call "Saturday Mind Bender", chat with director of concierge services and explanations of what some of the things are so people can at least stay informed. They had an activities board down in the lobby area where they post the same schedule and other things that were going on in the building. I liked the variety of activities that they have. They could either watch TV, play games, bingo, exercise class, Wii tournaments with another facility, Christmas carols and field trips. My mother wouldn't be able to participate in those because she doesn't get around as well as she used to. She'll be 96 in August but she's basically doing pretty well. The dining room looks really nice with the way it was set up. On weekends, there was more like a brunch and then you were kind of on your own in your place or you could order some food if you wanted to do that.
WOW!!! VERY PLEASED

I'm not a professional so it would be difficult to rate this facility. I understand that most assisted living or nursing homes get a bad rap. However, when I went to visit this facility I was very surprised. It wasn't gloomy or dreary by any means. The tenants were treated very well. The staff was attentive to the needs of the tenants and the facility seemed well cleaned. The tenants had a variety of activities to keep them busy and there was plenty of security to ensure the safety of the people living there. There was controlled entry and plenty if security cameras. There was also on sight medical personnel and equipment in addition it helps that there is a relative closeness to nearby hospitals so that it provides safety and security of mind for both the residents and their families.

I'm not a professional by any means when it comes to judging assisted living facilities. To be honest, sometimes they can creep me out. I have always been leary of them as well, as far as the treatment of the admitted tenants. But truthfully, when I did visit this facility, I was surprised to see such a nice, clean facility which fully provided the needs of the tenants. There was a dedicated staff, plenty of activities, and the decor was upbeat and bright. As far as security and access to the building, there was a controlled entry and all guest were monitored via camera upon entry. This gave me a large sense of security while visiting, and I would imagine the security aspect is a major part of why they chose this facility.

Autumn Greens is an enjoyable assisted living facility geared towards elderly individuals who want to maintain an active an mostly independent lifestyle while still taking advantage of the benefits of an assisted living. Towards that end, Autumn Greens does a good job. The rooms are more like apartments than hospital rooms, but at the same time are designed to be able to service the individual needs the occupant may have. Also, between the communal air of the place and the friendly staff, the family I have who have stayed there enjoy the time the spend there. Further more , the on sight medical personnel and equipment in addition to the relative closeness to nearby hospitals provides safety and security of mind for both the residents and their families. Between the communal free style of the Autumn Greens and their competent and dedicated staff and facilities, Autumn Greens is an ideal assisted living home for seniors who desire to maintain their active lifestyles.

While searching for a place for my aunt to live, I visited the Autumn Green facility at Midway Village. The Chicago Lawn area is easy to get to by car or public transport. My aunt really liked the well-kept park setting because the outdoors had always been a big part of her life. My aunt is very sociable and the types of cultural outings and events offered suit her well. A variety of fresh, healthy foods are offered and suit all dietary needs. We even got to enjoy fresh-baked bread during our visit. Snacks are available all day every day. The rooms are all nicely sized and decorated. The staff and management are very accommodating and eager to make the residents and visiting families comfortable. My aunt at times has memory issues, and there is always someone close by to assist her. Those who were not ambulatory seemed well-cared for. However, the weather is an issue in Chicago, so we had hoped there would be more indoor exercise class options and machines available. Since my aunt requires more physical exercise variety, I would give the facility an overall rating of 3.
