My father was in assisted living at Ascension Living Resurrection Village for a year and a half. It's independent living and assisted living. From everything I saw there, it was very good. They had several activities. He was treated well. He was well taken care of there. He had a single room and it had its own bathroom and shower. He had a bed. It's almost like a studio apartment without a stove and refrigerator. He didn't take part in many of the activities, but in the independent living, they have buses that go to plays and shows and they take them grocery shopping. My dad didn't take part in that, but they always had activities every day, morning, afternoon, and early evening. I highly recommend them. My sister-in-law's mother-in-law was there. There's one resident there who's been there for almost 30 years. Their facilities were good. I'm very happy with them and very pleased with them. My dad hated to leave but he can't care for himself as he should.

Ascension Living Resurrection Village has a beautiful surrounding area and the units are immaculate and up to date where you can cook for yourself. My sister has always been a clean freak and it was just immaculate. The facilities were wonderful. I would put anybody there. I've talked to my uncle and told him that if it comes down to where I put him somewhere to live, I would put him in Resurrection Village in a heartbeat. It's very, very nice and he would like it there. They have activities. They have a bus service that takes them shopping. Everybody was so very sweet over there. While I was waiting in the lobby, I talked to some of the people that were there. I just started up a conversation and just listened to them talk and they're very happy to be there. I saw the food while it was being served and it looked appealing and appetizing.

Ascension Living Resurrection Village got all levels of care in its community. The tour went fine. The lady that took us around was very pleasant and informative. A lady that lives there actually stopped us and said, "If you're considering this place, it's great. I love it here." She had recently moved in there from what they told us, and the lady who was showing us around said, "I did not tell her to tell you that." It was pretty quiet when we were there. I didn't see anything that was going on. Their dining area was nice. It seemed, for the most part, to be pretty well kept up. The staff said they've done some recent updates, but not over the entire facility.

I went to Presence Resurrection (Ascension Living Resurrection Village). They had two sections, one was assisted and independent living, and they had what they called the Life Center, which was skilled nursing and memory care. I took my brother in for the survey, which was in the reception area. We didn't get a chance to walk through the whole thing because COVID shutdown did not allow for anybody to go beyond that point. We were able to do a virtual tour, and it looked like a nice place. We have a personal friend who's living there, and she can't brag enough about it. I liked the outside of the facility. They had a nice outdoor grotto area that they could go in the summertime and visit. It was nice from what I could see. It's an older facility, but it had everything my brother wanted, which is having a Catholic priest on board. They can get the sacraments and have a mass. To me, it was an ideal place for him and my sister-in-law. My friend is in the independent living, and she loves the staff. The staff is very helpful and very protective of the residents there. They make sure that everybody gets tested, making sure nobody has COVID. They have security for the people. She can't complain about the food. She said the food is wonderful, and the staff is great. They have activities, and they have a therapy room that you can go to and get therapy if you need physical therapy. Before the COVID shutdown, they take you on tours to other areas, and they provide bus transportation if you need to take a bus to go some place, like for shopping or visiting a doctor. They have doctors on-staff, so everything she says sounds like it's a nice, ideal place.

"Bloom where you are planted." That old adage certainly applies to my choice to live at Presence Resurrection Retirement Community. My comfortable apartment overlooks the beautiful Grotto. The residents on my floor enjoy monthly birthday parties and get togethers. The activities offered here are so varied that there is something for everyone. My physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met daily, and my family is happy knowing that I am safe and enjoy a secure and exciting life here at Resurrection.

My dad is going to Presence Resurrection Retirement Community. It's mostly women in the community, but there is a men's club there so he's going to enjoy that. There are a lot of planned activities. It's a one-meal-a-day type of residence instead of three-meals-a-day. The apartments are very nice and clean. An assisted living place is next door if you need that. It's set right in a nice little neighborhood and very clean. There's a lot of staff there to help everybody around. It's newly remodeled and has a large hall with a terrace that's like a greenhouse where you can sit out there and enjoy fresh air. I am very happy we found this place for him. It has a nice garden area.

Presence Resurrection is a very nice facility, it’s less expensive, but it’s too far into the city. It has less programs, but the restaurant is very nice, and the menu is very nice. They have a facility with exercise equipment, and a little library.

My Mom has lived here in the assisted living wing for several years, and before that, upstairs in the independent living area for decades. I don't know of a better place in the Chicago area. She's treated well, the place is neat and clean, there seems to be a lot of structured activities available, the food quality is good and sufficient and on and on. I'm very happy with Res.

We visited the Resurrection Retirement Community while searching for a suitable assisted living facility for my friend's aunt. Many of their family members live in the area, so this would be an ideal place for her to live. The outer grounds looked well-kept and pleasant. The staff greeted us and seemed very warm and friendly - which is the most important thing to their family. The foyer was nicely decorated and seemed homey, as did all of the communal rooms. The apartments were all clean, well-kept and conveniently designed. They take the time to personalize to each resident's tastes. The dining areas were nicely designed and warm. Residents may choose communal dining or more private situations. There are places for them to visit with families, as well. The food looked deliciously prepared, as well as nutritious. The dietician and chef changes up the menu to keep it interesting and encourage resident to make suggestions. The activity calendar featured many healthy and stimulating activities. We liked that the staff encourages participation and tries to make everything interesting for its residents. They have outings to local libraries, events, culture, restaurants, shopping and even athletic activities. They take suggestions to update the schedule as much as possible. We've visited quite a few assisted living facilities in the Chicago region, and thus far, the staff at this one are some of the most competent and friendly we've seen.
