To anyone with a loved one in need of care, THIS is the place to choose! The physical therapy staff are miracle workers offering stellar service to all! Enormous kudos and standing ovation to the entire staff for their strict and SUCCESSFUL fight against covid as well. My husband was just released after learning how to walk (after having been told he'd never walk again) thanks to the angels of physical therapy! I never once worried about his being in AVR, even tho he was there thru the worst days of the pandemic, due to their vigilant and strict adherence to covid guidelines. They even provide personal updates via phone calls at regular intervals to keep you aware of conditions. It certainly set my mind at ease! Many of the nursing care staff will always remain in our hearts for their kindness and professionalism. I have no affiliation with AVR -- other than as a very grateful and satisfied spouse. Thank you all for all you have done! And continue to do for others!

Overall we are VERY pleased with Alden Valley Ridge in Bloomingdale. I am thankful that they were willing to admit my sister with her specific needs when other places could not or would not (i.e., isolated room, IV nutrition line). The team really seems to care about the patient and is responsive to doctors orders, patient needs and family requests. The team gives my sister more attention then prior facilities have. Patient has been through quite a bit this year and we are impressed with the care she receives and progress being made. I recommend this location.

My mother is in Alden Valley. It's outdated, but it's clean, and they take Medicaid pending. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The rooms are furnished, and clean. They're easy to get to and right off the highway.

My mother-in-law is on the 3rd floor - she is an alzheimer's patient. The residents on this floor require constant care. I am very pleased with the care she receives. The staff are friendly and caring. They all know her well, know all her likes and dislikes, know that she keeps trying to get out of her bed or wheelchair, etc. I think the staff just does a great job!

My family member is on the third floor (Alzheimer's care) and we LOVE that floor and the staff only on that floor is wonderful! They treat her like family! The 2nd floor she was on for a while and the nurses there are very rude and unprofessional. They don't help out their Cna staff. They are always sitting at the station on their phones and talking to each other ignoring their patients. When my mother was moved up to the 3rd floor I was so relieved! We did not have much choice on placement for my mother, but I would not recommend it here for the 1 & 2 floor if you can help it! Food is just barely editable usually, and usually very understaffed. Don't go to the administrator with any concerns.... She doesn't care.

I visited one of my friends grandfather who was on the second floor. I am used to go there every night. The nurses were kind and actually give respect to the other patients including my friend's granddad. Although the number of nurses (when i was there only 2) or the aides working that night seems short and the other young nurse is so thin to lift those old people but smart and friendly. That's why I understand sometimes they'll be late answering the light for like 15 minutes or more. They still have the reason. 3rd floor seems awkward though. There's still residents in the nurses station even until 3am doing nothing. 1st floor looks pretty good and clean. But some of the nurses were tyrant and seems unfriendly to the patients. You can actually tell by how the way the talk to those old patients. I would still recommend Alden valley ridge to some people living near Army Trail, Bloomingdale IL.

We placed my grandmother initially at Alden Valley Ridge. It was pretty on the outside. They only had a four-bedroom room available, which four residents to a room. It was fine and I could deal with that. However, her first night there, they ran over her foot with a wheeler and ripped her toenails off. She waited over an hour for them to answer the call. They sat her on the wall in a wheelchair for four hours. She almost choked down her dinner because her feet hurt. Then on the second night, they left her sitting on her bed for over an hour without a diaper on her and she peed in her pants and they didn't check on her until morning. They were just harsh on the floor she was on. On the first floor was the low level of care where you self-dress and feed yourself in the fine dining area. They had a movie room. The third floor was dementia. On her floor, the second floor was horrible. We pulled her out of there within 48 hours and they charged her $600. I would not recommend that place to anybody and anybody who would want to go there, I would steer them away from it. Even residents that lived there were actually clapping for my grandmother when we took her out.
