I'm on a waiting list for an apartment at The Landings. I thought the place was wonderful. It was new, only 2 years old. It was very bright and cheerful. The people were very friendly. Everybody that I met was really helpful. The woman who took me around on the tour knew every resident by name that we passed in the hallways, and I was very impressed with it. There was a fitness center, a craft room, a library, a couple of dining rooms, and a little bistro bar. The whole place was very clean and very well-kept. When I went there, we had snow recently, so I was a little concerned that it might be icy because I walk with a cane, but they had salted everything. I was able to park and walk into the front entrance.

I toured The Landings. I didn't know if my wife would get the care that she needed there. The salespeople were very nice. It's a very nice place, but I wanted a small place. The room is nice. It's a very nice, brand-new place, but it's one of those big places, and we decided against those, that's why we ruled them out. It was very nice. They had lounge chair. They're only about 50 or 60 percent full, so they didn't have everything up and running, but they had indoor parking and a craft room. It was very nice.

The Landings was very, very impressive. The facility was very modern and up-to-date. It reminded me of a fine hotel. It was just very elegant. It was reasonably priced. The rooms were a little smaller than other places, but I was very impressed with what you got for the money, and I would be willing to go there. I like the place. The staff was very professional. I remember her asking, 'Tell me about your loved one. What are her needs, what are her abilities, etc.' Not all communities do that. It was like she wanted to find a fit for her. She was just very much interested and wanted this place a fit for her.

I found The Landings quite attractive. It's a fairly new facility and it was clean and modern. The people were friendly and the residents themselves were nice. The place is spacious, and the apartment we picked out was well-planned. We haven't eaten there yet, but the restaurant-style eating was quite attractive. They have 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms of different sizes. They have a crafts room and they have a workout room where residents can exercise. They have a variety of planned activities like bingo, dances, singalongs, and movie nights, and they have community outings also.

We did the tour at The Landings Senior Living in Batavia. It's very beautiful and the people are friendly. There wasn't anybody doing any activities at the time we were there because they were eating supper. The assisted living food looks excellent. The memory care had the same kind of food and an actual chef on staff. It was the memory care that we toured, and the staff there was very friendly. The facility itself is very beautiful. It was just built in March of this year, so it's beautiful. They have a hair salon and a whirlpool tub for the memory care, and they take the residents on outings.

The Landings Senior Living was beautiful. Our tour there was very, very good, and I would highly recommend it if you can afford it. They had a movie theater, a billiard room, and another room where you could play cards. They had a cute little lounge where they had happy hour and there's an exercise facility. My parents were able to go there another day for lunch, and said the food was excellent. They have music coming in, like musicians coming in. As far as activities, the staff gave us the whole list. They have arts and crafts, and other things.
