My brother is in Heritage Woods of Batavia. They have nursing staff, they have meals, and they have people that come in and do their labs. He's doing PT and OT there. The tour was great. The first time I toured it, I felt very comfortable with them. Then I took my brother through it, and he liked it, too. He likes it there. I kept asking him, "Do you want me to do Section-8 papers?" and he said, no. He said, "I like it there." He's a severe diabetic on an insulin pump. They don't know much about pumps, but I keep monitoring that. I'm also keeping them aware, too, if his blood sugars are wonky, they need to ask him where they're at before he starts PT and OT. What interaction I've had with the staff has been great. His room was clean when we got there. He's in a studio right now. For him being in a wheelchair, it's working out real good. It is handicap accessible. If he does need any assistance, they're there. The atmosphere is fine. He's not had any issues. I've gotten to know other residents' names. My brother has interaction with other people that are living there as well. It's probably five minutes from Downtown Batavia and I take him to all of his medical appointments and shopping if he needs to go. He gets three meals. I haven't eaten there yet. The dining area is clean. The servers are always polite. They have Wii bowling, bingo, and exercise groups. They did holiday programs. They have the activities area where they do the Wii bowling. They have a library. They can put a puzzle together if they want. The staff up in the front are very friendly. All the staff is friendly.

We're heavily interested in Heritage Woods of Batavia. It looked like a nice place. It seemed clean. The residents seemed happy. The staff was all very friendly. I saw a studio room and it looked nice. It had a kitchenette and a bathroom. They had an activity area. I met the activity director in charge, and she seemed nice. They mentioned to me some of the different activities that they do. They also take them outside of the place for adventure. They recently took them to a movie. I know that they take them to Wal-Mart and to the dollar store to go shopping. They try to keep the residents as active as possible.

Terrible place! Filthy rooms ,filthy hallways, filthy stairs! Play smells all the time. The management that runs this facility are so unprofessional, so rude so uncaring and do not care about patients! The Receptionist is the most rudest person ever, and snaps at people when asked a question. They do not care about the well-being of the residence all they care about is themselves. We’ve seen it firsthand and it is quite frankly disgusting and can’t believe this place is still open

My mom has been in the Heritage Woods of Batavia for a little over two years. They're OK. They have things that they are doing now to try to improve the conditions there, but it would take a long time to be better. The staff is not very knowledgeable, but she said the food is very good. They have a dining room, a hair salon, a nurse's office, and a physiotherapist. There are different, nice places where we can go outside and exercise. There is some entertainment that comes in and some games.

The staff of Heritage Woods of Batavia are doing an excellent job of caring for my 91 year old mother, especially during this difficult time of Covid. She enjoys the food and she is a picky eater! Her room and clothes are kept clean and repairs are done when needed. She prefers to keep to herself, but the staff does a great job getting her out to participate. The building and grounds are well maintained and the staff always responds quickly to any needs we may have. I'm grateful that my mom is able to live at HW of Batavia and hope that she can continue for as long as she is able.

My mom receives excellent assistance at this facility. Her apartment is cleaned weekly, laundry done weekly and meals delivered 3 times a day. When covid is under control, the activities and dining room will resume! Love it!

My mother moved into Heritage Woods of Batavia. It seems nice and clean, and the people are nice. Her room is adequate, clean, and it has windows. The dining area is clean. The staff tried to be as helpful as possible and make the move in as easy as could be. It seems like a nice, cheerful place, and it seems pretty new.

You walk into the lobby of Heritage Woods of Batavia, and it’s like a dungeon; you could hardly see your hand in front of your face. They were not friendly although she was able to get a lady to let me into her apartment to look at it. It was 2 bedrooms, and it was very small. The refrigerator was the size of a college student’s refrigerator. The place was dark and cramped. The menu was limited. They also had a therapy room where you could get therapy or work your muscles or whatever your needs were. I was impressed by that. The dining room, the ladies’ apartment, and the lobby were dark. The hallways were so-so as far as light goes. The most well lit place was the therapy room. The residents were very sedated. They did not seem to be in any kind of activity. They didn’t even seem to be talking to each other, but there was very few that I saw. There was nobody in the area that I believe was an activity area.

Heritage woods was in a good location. The marketing person was very helpful. The apartments were quite small, but the staff was very friendly and compassionate. I would recommend it.

I moved my father to Heritage Woods of Batavia roughly a month ago. We chose it because it seems like the nicest community out of all the ones we looked at. The people are highly professional there, and it is much more of an assisted living facility than a nursing home. It just can't get any better. My father doesn't want to move, and he did not want to leave his one-bedroom apartment, but he really has no choice because he isn't doing well on his own. Within 24-hours, he wished he moved in there a year ago. It is beautiful. He ended up with a studio apartment, and he is going to be next on the list to the next one-bedroom or two-bedroom that will come up. Then, after a couple of weeks, he sais he was happy with the studio. The people there are professional and friendly. It is more of a resort type of experience rather than an assisted living experience. I like that the move-in coordinator is extremely helpful as well as the nurse there in the facility. Everything goes really smoothly because of these two people -- a woman named Sue and a woman named Karen.
