This is a great facility. My mom lives here, and my husband and I have also moved here. I cannot think of a better place for seniors. Residents have opportunities to voice their opinions. I have told many people about the wonderful activities, meals and staff members. Laundry, internet, housekeeping and limited transportation are provided. Apartments are based on income.

The rooms at Evergreen Place Supportive Living - Alton were very spacious. It was very beautiful. It looked like it would have been a nice place for Mom to live. We just wanted her to be closer to one of us, so that's why we went with the other one. The staff was very nice and very helpful. We saw the one-bedroom and the studio and the layout was really good. They had lots of room to bring things from home to make them how you like them. They had new carpeting. They were nice. I would live there. The common areas were very clean, really pretty, and decorated very nicely. There was a gazebo and they allow you to smoke back there. I didn't see the bus, but they were telling us there was a bus to take them to appointments. The residents had come back from going out for lunch up on the river. We talked to some of the people that went and they had a good time.

My mother-in-law chose Evergreen Place Supportive Living because it's really nice, but mostly because it is financially now. They worked with her income. The staff during the tour was wonderful, very friendly, very informative, and very helpful. There was a courtyard and a family room, where you can do things with your family like dinners or birthday parties. They had a game room, a little store where they can buy things, and a workout room.
