I toured Copper Summit Assisted Living. The least I liked was the carpeted hallways. It's small, so there are less patients per staff. They cook their meals from scratch. I like that a lot. It's very well structured. I did not like that the first thing you get to when you come in the door is the eating area. I would have liked that not to be in the open area coming in. I thought that was weird to come in and people were eating. I just didn't like the layout and that part I don't like. The room sizes, I thought they were adequate. The atmosphere felt very good and very well-kept. It smelled clean and it was brightly lit. The dining area was large. It's family setting. It's right open to the kitchen. It's an open concept.

I took a tour of Copper Summit Assisted Living. The place seemed dark, it wasn't bright and clean. The people were nice, but we didn't care for the setup. In terms of the staff, we only met one person and she was friendly and quite nice. I saw that they had a salon. I wasn't impressed with the upkeep, there were a lot of chipped walls and chipped paint, and the carpets seemed like they'd been there for a while. They need to be updated. I would suggest improving the overall look of the assisted living and the rooms. They're painted in dark colors, and I just don't think that's a good environment for older people or anyone. So improving the painting on the walls and the flooring would have been a big plus. It was located close to the hospital and several restaurants.

Copper Summit was a very nice and small place with a good, scenic view. There were only about 16 people in the place. The room that we looked at was bigger then average because a husband and wife were going to go together into it, and they brought all the furnishings and everything from their own home. They had a nice bathroom and shower seating. It was a very nice room. They had different activities, like games, crafts, and outings. They had a very nice dining area where everybody met for dinner or you could eat in your room. It was all home cooked meals.
