My mom was transferred to Brookdale from an assisted living facility due to memory and cognitive decline. She has only been there a week and we are impressed with how the staff has welcomed her. She was incredibly confused upon arrival and it hasn't taken long for her to reacclimate. Because the facility is small she is using her walker more instead of relying on her wheelchair.

My wife will move into Brookdale Chubbuck. It was nice. The upkeep looked fine and the place was clean. The staff did an excellent job of showing me the place and explaining things to me. The food was more than adequate. They kept the residents safe. There was a combination of locks on all the exterior doors so they couldn't wander off.

Our tour at Brookdale Chubbuck was very pleasant. The people were very polite and happy. We had met one person who lived there, she was very excited. She came and greeted my mother-in-law and was telling us what a great place it was to live and how nice everyone was that worked there. It was a good experience. They are in the process of fixing it up, putting in a new carpet and things. They're really working on it very nicely to upgrade it. The studio apartment that we saw, it has a living room/bedroom together, and a bathroom. The one that my mother-in-law likes was the one that had the living and bedroom kind of divided by a little half wall. The studio expansion was a nice-sized one too, we liked that. There's quite a few activities for the seniors to do. They have crafts, games, and movie nights. The dining area was very spacious, and it was lovely. My mother-in-law has very specific ways that she eats, and they are very willing to work with her on that. They also have someone that can come in and do her hair. They had quite a few amenities though. The staff was very pleasant. It seemed to be a very nice place for my mother-in-law.

Brookdale Chubbuck was a nice facility and clean. The staff was friendly. It's a smaller facility. The rooms were nice, modern, and clean.

I went to Brookdale Chubbuck last month. The woman there was just tremendous, she did a wonderful job, I liked her. It was clean, the manager's presentation impressed me the most, and I just felt good there. The rooms were nice, and the bathrooms, it was clean. It was more organized, they showed the place where they could eat, it looked nicer, open, and the people that were there were happy, sitting on chairs, and were just content. She told me about the activities and when I was there several people were already at Walmart.

I visited Brookdale Chubbuck. It's very inviting and clean. There are a lot of things for the residents to do. There are things going on all the time. They play bingo, do nails, and have an exercise group. The staff who helped me out was fantastic; she answered all of my questions.

I can't say too much about Brookdale Chubbuck's food because I'm vegetarian, but they're able to accommodate me. My room is small, but I like it. I have enough room for my bed and two chairs. There's not much to do for now, but normally the atmosphere is pretty good. It's not perfect, but it's not bad. According to the other residents who eat the regular meals here, they do a pretty good job.

My mother has been in Brookdale Chubbuck for three weeks now. It has been good for her. I just wish she would be more involved. They have all kinds of activities. All of the staff members that I met were wonderful. They do a job I could never do, so I really appreciate that they're there. It is not brand new, but it is nice and everybody has their own bathroom, which is good. They have three different options of apartments. My mother has a studio. They have bingo, they have a time where once a week they go out to lunch, they have a pumpkin coloring where they can go and decorate their own pumpkin, and they have a dinner coming up. They are very attentive, not overly, but just enough. They do a lot of different things. There is something on the board every day for the residents to do. Food is still institutional but it is pretty good.

My mom moved into Brookdale, and we love it there. The people are wonderful, and they work with her. She's got a nice room, she walks down for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and she plays Bingo three times a week. It's been a very easy transition from the hospital. It's not a nursing home, it's just a place for older people, but it doesn't smell like an old person's home. She's doing more activity there than when she's in her home. The food is freshly cooked, really good, and they have a good variety. They're very open to people bringing in pets, and they bring in pets from the animal shelter for pet therapy.

My mother was in Brookdale for two weeks, and I think they did a pretty job. She was in a room, and it was a good size. They go out to the mall, go around different places, and played Bingo.

I visited Emeritus Ridgewind. It’s an older facility; it has seen better days, they work hard to keep it clean, but it is what it is. The rooms were pretty good, clean, and well maintained. They had a memory care under security, which seemed to be adequately staffed but I’m finding the whole situation depressing. They had a schedule of activities every day. They had exercise classes in the morning, Bingo in the afternoon, and a hair salon program.

Emeritus was clean and the marketing director was helpful and friendly. The dining room is in the middle of the complex. They were very open and transparent with their documents and they also do follow ups.

Emeritus at Ridge Wind was really nice. However, I think the staff was a little bit more busy, but they were very friendly. They were very professional, too. The dining area was very nice. It was a very nice, clean area. I thought it was very clean. I thought the whole facility was very clean. The place was next to me, and that's the reason why I looked at them in first place. It is just close to my house.

I liked the arrangement of Emeritus at Ridge Wind, it was like a big wheel with spokes. The main room where they ate and had activities was a big, round area and the spokes were the hub of rooms. My mom was in a shared room and it was large and adequate. I loved most of the staff. They were young, healthy, they sang and played with the residents. My mom was in the Alzheimer's unit so their activities were very limited. They watched television, listened to music, played some simple games for dexterity to maintain her muscles. But she could also go down and not just sit in her wheelchair all day. I would absolutely recommend this facility.
