My brother is a resident of Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene. In general, we are very satisfied with them. They have small homes with only around 30 residents in each home, so you get more individual care. The staff is very good. They have four different units. Each are fairly small, about the same size, and with good sized rooms. They also have a kitchen serving area in each house. I have not been happy with the food until this weekend when they changed cooks, so I think I'm going to be much happier. This new cook seems to be much more willing to accommodate my brother's special needs. It was very bad until they got this new cook. Pacifica is the best one we found. They don't have many activities, but my brother probably wouldn't take part in them anyway. I think the value is about average. It's not cheap; it's pretty expensive.

My cousin has moved into Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene. His sister made the choice. I chose a different place, but I was overruled. I do not think that it's the right place for my cousin. They put him in a wing that seems to be for runners, so it's a lockdown. The lockdown isn't a problem, it's the people. Interacting is difficult with the people that are in that wing. I do not understand why they put him in that particular wing. My other issue with the place is their shortage of staff. I know everybody is hurting, but I think that's an issue. My cousin is a loner, so he needs some entertainment and he wanted to be able to access his TV, but that took days and days. I think until yesterday or the day before he even got a remote that worked on the TV, and so that's been stressing him on top of moving into a place away from being on his own. It's just caused a lot of stress for him and me. I thought that they would be welcoming, but it seems to me like he has been plopped there and abandoned. It's been a very rough transition for him. The parking lot is also a nightmare. As for the staff, there's one or two that were super helpful, but there's only so much they can do. The nursing assistants that I met have been quite helpful. However, since the day we toured the place, I haven't seen the director, who was cooking the day I toured the place (She was also the cook), and that's what gave me the clue about the staff shortage among other things. There are some people working there that seem to be quite wonderful with the people, and I have seen some that weren't. The one who came into my cousin's room and helped, was sweet as could be and very kind to him, which was nice, because he was very stressed about the TV. So it's up and down, some are good, and some are bad as with most places. I haven't tasted the food, but I've smelled them, and I've seen them. My cousin thinks the food is pretty good, but he is a diabetic and he gets more sugar than he should have. They don't seem to be following a diet thing with him. To me, that's a problem. He can get snacks all day long, which is wonderful, but I wish that they were a little more aware of his condition and considered that a little more. Cleanliness seems okay. It seems like a nursing home to me but it's assisted living.

I did a tour of Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene. It wasn't all that good, and it smelled in there. They had decent rooms, and their staff is good. The dining room was good. They had a place where you can get haircuts. They weren't bad, the common areas were a nice U-shape, and they have a nice dining room and TV area. They can improve on keeping the place cleaner. I went through the part of the facility where everybody lives by themselves in each room, and that place stunk.

I visited Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene for my son. The people that worked there were great. I only met two of the staff, and they were wonderful. The place was really nice, very clean and modern. There was nobody in the cottages that we looked at, so they were really not furnished yet.

We chose Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene for my brother because it was convenient and close. The staff is very nice. The rooms are very nice, too. It's a good size, and it's updated. My brother is now in their memory care. The dining area is nice. It's inviting. It's a nice, warm area. It looks like people are pretty happy there. The staff is friendly. There is a little outdoor area that is nice, but they can't really use that this time of year. They have activities, but I don't know anything about them. I just know that they have them. Because he is younger than anybody else in there, they need to have certain activities that are geared to younger people. It's way too expensive, but they all are. It doesn't matter where you go, they're all going to be the same. It drains people's bank accounts very quickly.

I went and looked at Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene. The facility was very attractive and it seemed quite nice. I would not have minded having my husband in there if they were capable of taking care of him at his level that he needed, but they aren't capable of that. I don't remember the name of the staff member, but he was very pleasant, very nice, and understanding. We found out that they could not handle someone who would be violent. As long as he was under control, they would consider taking him, but if he had one episode of being violent, they would have to remove him and I can't pass my husband around like a yo-yo, that's not good for his dementia. I wasn't there for very long. The staff member was quite nice. He was OK because he was upfront with me saying that they could not handle a violent person.

Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene is a nice community, but it's just not the best fit for our mom. Our visiting experience was good, we liked the place, and it's definitely a contender. It was more expensive than the one we went to. They only had one opening when we were there, but it was filled the next day. I think the staff was great; they're really good. The gentleman that we worked with spent a lot of time with us, and he came in on his day off to spend at least a couple of hours with us. Their rooms were really nice, but were smaller than I expected, but I understand the reasoning behind that. The layout is a little bit more like apartments because it has common areas and the rooms are a little bit off from the common areas, which is nice. They also have a nicely landscaped area so you can go outside and walk around. It feels like you have your own backyard. It's like a combination of an apartment, but there's a family style feel to it. It wasn't as new as the place we selected, but I thought it was a really nice place.

The executive director and community relations director have been extremely helpful from the moment I contacted PSL. They are always friendly and offering to be of assistance in every way possible. They caregivers for Bill are very, very compassionate, caring, helpful, friendly, and many times go over and above to take care of Bill because of the care level. It is helping to heal my heart because I truly miss him. Thank you!!

Pacifica Senior Living Coeur d'Alene has small buildings, which is nice. It's where I'm moving my dad to. It's close to where I live and it's clean. They feed the residents three times a day with snacks and they have a sitting room and daily activities.

I visited Pacifica Senior Living Coeur D'alene, and they had very nice caring staff. I didn't see any deficiencies in them. The price was very high, but it was a very nice facility. It seemed to be high quality in everything.

Pacifica Senior Living is clean and has private rooms and semi-private baths. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the people who run the facility are very nice. They took us through the entire facility and introduced us to the staff and some of the residents. We chose this for our parents, and so far, the experience has been fantastic.

I visited Pacifica Senior Living. The staff was very friendly and very competent. The rooms were too small and very inadequate. However, they had good food and a family style dining room. What impressed me was the cleanliness, the openness of the floor plan, and the friendliness of the staff.
