My mom has moved into Magnolia Estates of Oconee. They have about 25 residents, they have three meals a day, and they have just a bedroom and a bath for each person. There is a lot of memory care folks out there, but we've been pleased. We're happy where she is until we need to go somewhere else. The rooms were originally built just as a single room, but now they have put two of them together, so you have a living space for the TV and chairs. They're not like apartments. It is just mainly a room because it was built a long time ago. They are built what they call double room but it's two of the smaller rooms with the wall removed in between. It is very comfortable. They have several big areas where they can all meet and do their activities like cards and stuff and have guests come in. They have a big piano, so there's plenty of room for gathering. There are two dining rooms for each part of the building, but it's all one level, so it's very easy to negotiate with a walker. They have a beauty salon, a courtyard, and very nice surroundings. There are rocking chairs on the front porch. It's a very nice setup. My mom has been happy with the meal, but I haven't eaten with her.

Magnolia Estates of Oconee was great. It was out in the country, and it was surrounded by trees. The staff looked very well trained. The lady we talked to had worked there for a long time, and she knew everybody by name. It was a really nice experience. It was just too expensive. The room I saw was a one-bedroom and bath. It was very adequate. It was mostly that one type of room for everybody. They had arts and crafts. They had snacks and lunch. They had a place to get your hair cut and your nails done.

My daddy is so happy at Magnolia and very well cared for. Daddy always likes to dress nicely and they make sure he does. He loves the food and the people. I love that you are keeping him busy. Thank you all for loving my sweet daddy.

I moved my mom to Magnolia Estates of Oconee. The rooms were very neat and very clean. The facility itself was very clean. The residents all seemed to have a positive attitude. I have not eaten there, but she does and has been enjoying it. What I like best about this facility is the patient care that they are giving.
