The Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, CNA's, cleaning service staff, food and Nutrician staff, Social Worker, Wound care specialist,Technicians, front desk receptionist all work together to help in the recovery of your love one. They always try to answer your questions to the best of their abilities. And whatever you need they try to make it available to you. I am so grateful for the care that was given to my husband during his stay at Christian City Rehabilitation Facility

My dad was at Christian City Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 4 months. The facility itself needs to be greatly updated. The wallpapers were peeling off the walls and all the furniture was just beaten up. It was not aesthetically pleasing at all. It was very old and outdated. They were very understaffed, and I would advise you to put your loved one somewhere else. If you push the call button for the nurse or the CNA to come and assist you, you literally would wait 3 hours. They didn't even have people to assist the residents to get to activities. My dad probably went to five activities in the 4 months that he was there. It was ridiculous. My dad left there unable to ever walk again. They did not rehab him at all as they should have. He did not receive total body rehabilitation as he should have received. There was so much more that could have been done that wasn't done.

Not acceptable. Under staffed. Unclean and non-professional. My husband's room was dirty. He had the wrong size bed. He fell out of the bed. There was no doctor on staff or on-call. I had to call 911 to have him taken to a hospital because he was having chest pains and shortness of breath and anxiety attacks. His arm and leg was bruised because of his fall. His food was cold. His bathroom was unsanitary. The previous patient belongings were still in the room. It took too long for nurses to respond. The facility needs to be shut down.

My mom was in Christian City Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. When I first visited I thought that it was a nice place. It seemed to be clean there but there were a couple of things that I didn't care for. When they were giving them their meals, they had a lot of salt in them and I don't think that was good. I don't understand why they were over-salting their food, and the menus they gave them were never the same as what they had on their list. They were just giving them anything. Sometimes it would take the nurses a while to get in there and change my mom. They could have been better. There were a couple of staff members that cared about the patients, but for the most part, they didn't go above and beyond. Mom was sharing a room with someone who also said their food was salty. One Sunday, they gave them eggs and a donut for dinner, that's disgusting. I don't think they cared about what they were giving them. They have a gym, courtyard, and dining. The place was a nice-looking facility.

HORRIBLE! Stay away! I wouldn't even put my worst enemy here. The nursing staff simply do not care. They speak negatively about the facility & other staff in front of patients. Ring the nurse's button & expect to wait an hour. The food is disgusting. I could only eat the breakfast. Luckily, I could order DoorDash & even still - my order would sit downstairs in the lobby for an hour or so. Therefore it was cold when I got it. When the nurse's button stopped working, we were given cow bells to ring for service.Cow bells ringing ALL day & night. Months later, I've been trying to get my final itemized bill for my insurance and to no avail. My calls keep going to voicemail. I was a rehab resident in March!

My sister is in Christian City Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The reason it was chosen was another friend of mine had her mother there, and she said it was the best facility for my sister for rehab. It's a skilled nursing and rehab center. They have assisted living quarters, too, but that's not what she's in. It's an excellent facility, and it's a caring facility. They take time with the residents and they really care about them. The staff is caring and very professional. She said the food is very good. They're focusing on her rehabilitation activities, but they have other activities. They're very patient.

Do not use the long term or dementia/alzheimer unit as your loved one will likely develop body sores, live daily unclean in their feces and dirty. The staff put on a good caring face for families, but they care nothing about the patients!

I toured Christian City. It's an individual apartments, duplexes, and living cottages. They're modernized as far as the fixtures are concerned. They update the carpet and everything when you move in. You select your carpet, and they provide blinds. It seemed to be real nice. You pay a portion when you move in, and it is called a life lease. They have exercises, walking trails, the whole nine yards.

Christian City was more for older patients who had dementia. They don't give them a hard time. It was an older, clean community, and we were impressed with it at first. When my husband got there, he was aggressive, and we had to make other arrangements. The staff was very nice and concerned but not trained to handle someone who gets physical when having outbursts. They would call me every day for the last three days that he was there to get me to come get him and take him to the emergency room.

My father has been in Christian City Conv Center for 2 days now. They're working with him to build up his leg strength. We had a meeting with the people who are going to be working with him and we discussed the plan and our main goal for him and everybody introduced themselves. The staff is good and very patient with him, and they will have him on his new regimen of exercises. I've been satisfied with it. They've been taking care of him, and he doesn't sound unhappy or depressed. They serve 3 meals a day and there's a doctor on-staff.

Christian City is phenomenal. That was a brilliant plan because you could literally move in while you are doing exceptionally well, and once you are in, you are almost guaranteed a spot for all of the different stages. So if you need to go into the rehab facility or if you need physical therapy, you can be there. Everything is right there. Their staff was good. It was a great blend of personalities and cultures. They were very friendly and very helpful.

I liked Christian City. I didn't actually meet the staff during the tour, but the guy that showed us around was personable, attentive, and gave me the information. The rooms were okay. I thought they had nice furniture. The guy was also knowledgeable about the facility and other things like Medicaid.

My best friend and I were visiting her grandfather that lived in Christian City. She was a little nervous to visit him in the nursing home, because she had the worst images in her mind of living in a nursing home. But after we got there her mind was easily put at rest. We saw her grandfather doing exercises in the activity room with the other residents. He was happy and laughing, even though he had to do his exercises from the wheel chair. The nurses came up and told us about the classes and how they do them each week and then they have a great social hour where they all drink coffee and eat cookies and doughnuts. We stayed for the social hour. Her grandfather seemed happy and had lots of the females attention and they were all so sweet together. We went back and visited him a few more times before he passed away. But I know he was happy living there for the short time he did.

My grandmother was put into Christian City Nursing home a few years ago and spent about a year in the facility. I would recommend Christian City to others who have special needs. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer, a disease that makes it very difficult for the person to care for their own needs due to memory loss. This particular place has a special floor for Alzheimer's patients which are excellent since they specialized in her needs. The staff was always friendly and helpful! They have activities they can participate in and a special TV room for socializing. They also provide an outdoor area for those who would like to go outside. They also have special wheel chairs and walkers for those who have difficulty getting around on their own. Upon visiting several faculties we discovered this was the best for her needs. Christian City has apartments, condos, assisted living, nursing home, a church, swimming pool, commons area, and activities daily. This is a wonderful place to consider when thinking of a place for older adults that need a little extra care or a lot of extra care. I would definitely recommend it!
