My father stayed at Peniston Personal Care Home LLC. The personnel were awesome. I went there on four different occasions and I was allowed to pop in. It was always nice and clean. No one was dirty. The place did not smell foul. Everything was immaculate at all times. I love the backyard wraparound porch. It was only a four-bedroom facility and my dad received 100% attention. The director is Breezy. There were only four adult individuals in the home. They had two individuals around-the-clock, and it's 24-hour service. Breezy kept me informed the entire time my dad was there. I got to do a video conference call. I got to call him, talk to him, and Breezy treated my father as though he was her father. I got that sense from her and she's just a very caring, nurturing, loving person and she has nursing credentials. I checked out the menu. I was not invited to lunch or dinner, but my dad enjoyed the food. When I picked him up, he said, "They fed me so much food." He said the food was delicious. He received food that I would cook. On the menu, they had stuff like grits, eggs, and waffles. Breezy was very adamant about nutrition as far as yogurt or juice because my dad is in the diabetic range, so we make sure we monitor his food. He received three meals, two snacks, and if he wanted anything in between. They did a nature walk. Their backyard is completely fenced in. It's in a wooded area and it's a huge property. I don't know how they got the deer to just come up to the fence, so they tossed breadcrumbs over. I got to see that. They did checkers and memory games, read books, and they color. I liked the fact that they weren't forced to do anything. Breezy had a knack for encouraging them to join the group games. They were only four so it was easy to do that. The four of them bonded together as a family. Breezy invited me to bring Dad back down to visit them when I have free time. I paid a little bit more, but that didn't bother me because I wanted my father to be in a place where I will be comfortable on my vacation and not worry about him.

Peniston Personal Care Home, LLC was a much smaller facility. It's a home with four bedrooms available. It was clean. It has a laundry room and a nice backyard and front yard. They do all the cleaning and cooking. They also have someone there 24 hours a day. You're not allowed to administer your own medication. They administer all your medication. They don't take them out on trips and that's the only downfall that I saw. The staff is great. The family is responsible for making sure that the resident gets to their medical appointments. They have an exercise schedule that they do. They go walking and they also play games like board games.

The staff at Peniston Personal Care Home was really nice and professional. It's assisted living and was a private residence, so it was kind of small. They didn't have any food or anything prepared the morning during our tour. The layout was nice. It's small, but it was still nice. It was a private residence, so it has a basic setup just like a regular home. There's not a lot of space to move around. They do have the living room area, and I think they only house maybe four people.

Peniston Personal Care has the best service’s for your loved ones. The facility performed a variety of daily activities. They assisted daily with bathing, dressing, preparing and feeding meals and administering medications. In addition, my friend went for walks around the neighborhoodevery day, weather permitting, to allow her to get fresh air regularly. The rooms are very clean and homey. The food they service is absolutely delicious. My friend always expresses how happy she is to be a in small community yet lovely community that make her feel loved, welcomed and most importantly like family.

I'am so amazed at how clean and organized this home is. About 8 months ago I placed my mother in this home and I 'am so pleased with how well the staff treats my mother, all my mother tells me is good things about her day to day events. My mother had stage 4 lung cancer and was going threw treatment every week although she was very ill and down the staff kept her mentally motivated, this Christian home is just what she needed...Thank you Lord for blessing my mother and I with such a great environment to receive more blessings, as of today my mother is 78 yrs old and cancer free ... Thanks for making my mom comfortable and giving her a home away from home..
