I visited at least about 15 in the area, and I liked Waverly Gardens of Evans the best. They offered what typical assisted living provides like breakfast, lunch, dinner, and assistance where needed. However, they did not have excursions, day trips or outings because they didn't have a bus or van or anything to take them out. Otherwise, I love it. Everything else was good. The staff was A1. I first went to the facility unannounced and I went there several times since, and each time they've been fully accommodating. The food looked good, nutritious, and seemed like a balanced meal. The place was very clean, and there were no smells such as urine or unclean areas. I had my mother with me the first time I was there, and the staff was having a storytelling activity with the group. The staff was asking them questions and they were eagerly answering. My mother also was totally engaged and laughing with the group and that was a good indication to me that they had activities that could interest the clientele.

About TrueCare Personal Care Home Evans in Evans, Georgia
Waverly Gardens personal care home consists of 20 beds. We are smaller and more intimate than large congregate settings yet larger than the family model homes. Our “mid-size” homes allow the best of both worlds. We are larger and, therefore, more handicapped accessible. We have more staff and more activity than in smaller settings. However, we are still small enough to be non-institutional in character having the feel of a “home” away from home. Residents genuinely become like family and most resident families participate fully in the life at the homes.
Senior living services include the following:
- Assistance with personal care home or host home placement appropriate to the needs and location of the individual.
- 24-hour supervision and management.
- Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Nutritious meals and snacks served daily.
- Assistance with medication management.
- Health monitored by a registered nurse.

I went to Waverly Gardens of Evans. My mother didn't like that community at all. It was a small community, a small number of residents. The facilities were small, kind of outdated, had no modern conveniences, and the price was more than her income. The staff was nice, they gave us a very nice tour and good information. She promised to send me some information in the email, but she never did, so we're kind of disappointed as well. The residents were eating at that time when we were there. It was an older facility. The outside was nice, they did have a garden, they had an area for the residents to sit outside.

Waverly Gardens of Evans' administrator did not get word that we were coming, so we didn't get to speak with anybody of authority. We were given a tour by an aide who couldn't answer a lot of our questions, so that was a bust. The place itself was very small and dark inside. It had an outdoor area, but I didn't see anybody out there. They didn't have very much. The dining area was very nice, clean, and bright and had enough chairs. It was the brightest place in the whole facility. The menu was very limited. It's good for some people but it wouldn't meet our needs. The place was clean, carefully maintained, kept all the beds made, and didn't smell of urine.

Waverly Gardens of Evans is in a nice area. There are a small group of people, and the community is really nice. It's clean, and the location is perfect. They have family get-togethers and social events. The staff is very nice, very kind, and helpful.

My daughter and I visited Waverly Gardens of Evans. They only had 16 people there, so it's very small. The man we met with was very nice, but it made me wonder how many activities and things they would have in a facility that small. In the dining area, everybody sits at one table, and I didn't like that. I would not go there. The people were very nice, but the rooms were not very large at all. The staff member showed me a husband and wife that lived in one room together. The facility might be okay for somebody else, but it's not for me. It was very clean. I only saw the dining room, which I did not like at all. I don't want to sit around a table with perfect strangers every night.

Waverly Gardens of Evans is clean, the residents appeared to be very pleased with it, and the cost was very effective for my friend. She will be having an 11x11 studio apartment with a walk-in shower. The grounds are very nice, and it has a closed-in courtyard and a really nice front porch. It's a small facility which I like.

We didn't like Waverly Gardens of Evans at all. It just wasn't suitable. They're unorganized and small. We had made an appointment, but they didn't expect us. They didn't let us look around, and that is a red flag.

Waverly Gardens has been very clean and very well kept. I am very pleased with the way they keep it up. They just remodeled and brought in new furniture. It's a really nice place.

The first thing that stood out about this facility was its cleanliness. The staff was incredibly helpful as well, if not entirely hospitable. The facility is quite small with a limited staff, but they manage incredibly well. It sits right in front of a church as well and on the day we were volunteering, there seemed to be quite a few church volunteers there assisting with some of the elderly. They were reading scripture to those that would listen and speaking generously with the old men and women. It was very interesting the dynamic between the paid staff and the volunteers. There was almost no interaction whatsoever.
