Thank God for Presbyterian Village! My mother fell and broke her jaw in December. She was admitted to the nursing home at Presbyterian Village for rehab and spent 20 days there. Everyone was kind to her and gave her great care! She enjoyed the food and companionship. The only complaint she had was her roommate leaving the television on all night, making it hard to sleep. We are considering moving her from our home to supportive living. I highly recommend Presbyterian Village! The staff works extremely hard and they are conscientious to their residents.

I went to look at Presbyterian Village. I toured the independent living, which was in one building. I liked it a lot. I love the grounds. It's been there a while, so they had lots of big, shady trees. The grounds were capped up. They have a pond and a pool. They have transportation to the doctor or wherever you want to go within a certain radius. I like the people there. They're friendly. They seem to be happy. The director took me on the tour, and she was very nice. She gave me all the information I needed. But they're expensive, too. You have to buy the cottages. I've eaten there before, and the food was fine. The dining area was very nice. They bring your plate to you. If you request ahead of time, they will bring your food to your apartment, and that was nice.

What I like about Presbyterian Village was that this facility was a little older, so the landscaping was mature, and it wasn't in a buildup position. The trees were blossoming out and it was very nice. A very close friend of mine and his wife (who has since passed) is residing there. He was a very prominent architect in Atlanta, a long-time friend, and a neighbor. We had a nice tour. The problem was that we would not choose it because of its location. The traffic in Austell is terrible. The traffic was just too much for us older folks to handle, so you'd be pretty much confined. It's a lovely place. I was especially impressed by the concern they had with the COVID. They pay their staff well enough to retain and have a high-quality staff. Our exposure with the staff was first-rate. We did not have lunch there because they were not planning to serve outsiders because of the pandemic, so I can't rate anything other than the consultant they assigned to host us, and her response was very positive, and she was very helpful. We looked at a couple of the cottages and we liked what we saw, but we were not going to choose that, so we didn't go any further.

If you love and care for your relative please no matter how hard someone urges you to use this facility don’t let them be admitted here. My relative was there for rehab and while there her health was neglected. She was only supposed to be there 4-5 days for rehab other than that her health was good when admitted. While there due to COVID you were only allowed to visit with an appointment but they never had an appointment available when you would call them. Even though her food like’s and dislikes were discussed with the nutritionist they continually served her foods that she couldn’t eat. There were a few good nurses that took good care of her but overall the service was horrible. Unfortunately my relative who the hospital doctor had said was in good physical health except dementia, having difficulties getting out of bed and walking; physical health declined so bad that she never came home to her family she went home to God. Her family was deprived of seeing her while she was still alert and able to communicate with them because of never being able to get a visitation appointment. Once Again Please Find Another Facility for Your Loved One!

My mother-in-law is currently staying in Presbyterian Village Austell Rehab. It's older but well maintained. Everything's been perfect so far. My mom says the food is good. I have not seen the rooms because she's been quarantined. It seems like breakfast has been the same every day.

Right now, my mother is in rehab at Presbyterian 'cause she broke her hip. So, it's sort of another type of nursing home. She's living there, and she's doing the rehabilitation. She may be there another month; I'm not sure. But when I kinda get an indication from them, how her rehab is doing, 'cause it's kinda had to start in stages, then I'll know when she'll be actually moving out of there. She's been there since the end of October. It's a good facility. I was not able to actually see where she would be staying, because she went from the emergency room to a hospital bed, and once she was finished with her surgery, she's gotta had to pick a rehab place. They gave me some choices and I did a little bit of research, but I basically just picked one and that's where she is now. Her care is definitely a 5; she's got a whole team, nutritionist, occupational therapist; she's got more than one therapist, she's got somebody dealing with a wound on her foot, and she gets a doctor visit frequently. It looks like a housing community, but different set up. There are housings, kinda like condos, and then there's like one main type building. I guess it's where some of the patients live. It's not like one big building like most of the places are. It's a housing community along with a rehab facility. I think she's been well-taken cared of. I don't particularly know about the food. I know she's eating 'cause, they told me she's eating, but I don't know how good the food is. Right now, Medicare is paying for her stay and her care. I actually looked in to what it would cost to keep her there, but they were very expensive. Instead of like a monthly rent, they had like a daily rent, which was very expensive. We're talking like $8000 something like that. So, it was just really way out of my league. I know she's getting great care. I chose that facility based on their location, and the fact that it was one of them that the hospital recommended. It was one of their recommended lists. At a certain point when you're in a hospital, they wanna get you out, so you gotta make a decision. So I had to make a decision to get her into a rehab facility, and I had to make a choice, So it wasn't like a detailed research. I didn't do any tours, I just basically googled a couple of other places, and I made a decision that I had to.

Dysfunctional executive leadership who distorts the truth and has not responded to basic needs during the pandemic: weight loss, grooming neglect, neglect of basic cleaning, social isolation. Avoid this place at all costs. Staff is kind but leadership is missing and it is not a safe environment for your parent.

Grandfather was resident during 5 months of COVID quarantine. Moved him to new facility after uncovering serious neglect. Unhygienic facilities, bedding/clothes/furniture in his room found with fecal matter (some old and dry some new), no haircut or pedicure for 4 months, poor air quality/no ventilation on his floor. He was not allowed to go out to exercise during quarantine. He has hearing loss and the opaque masks staff/visitors wore prevented him from reading lips. This meant he was deprived of meaningful social interactions during quarantine. Staff were often unresponsive to family inquiries into his well-being and requests for any form of visitation.

Sadly, my father was horribly neglected during the pandemic. When I was allowed on campus to take him to a doctors appt. after 3.5 months, he had lost 15 pounds, his toenails had grown over around and under his toes, his hair was 6 inches long and there was dried feces in his bedding and on several chairs in his room. He was in assisted living but clearly no assistance with basic healthcare needs. Also he loved to walk outside but they would not let him outside during the pandemic( which was actually safer than being in the building) or willing to have a staff member go with him. Both his physical and mental health have suffered for it. Heartbreaking. We have moved him.

My husband is in Presbyterian Village for physical therapy. They have helped him tremendously. He actually walked across the floor yesterday with a walker. We never thought he would be able to do that again. I can't say enough about the nurses, aids and all people who work there. I take our dog to see him, and all of the people love her. You get a menu of a few things each day and you pick your meal. A treat cart comes around often also. P.V. is definitely #1 in this area for what my husband needed, physically, socially and spiritually.

In April 2017, both my parents were transferred to PV Health Center from sub-acute rehab in Marietta after a lengthy stay in acute care hospitals, she recovering from renal failure and he from sepsis. The level of nursing care and physical/occupational therapies were an immediate improvement for both parents upon arrival. After 5 months of medication adjustments, nutritional support, intermittent therapies and a high level of nursing care, both parents are in much better health than I thought possible. Kudos to Medical Director David M., MD and the entire staff at PV Health Center!

Presbyterian Village GA has a very good ongoing program. They have had their staff for many years, and they have on-campus physical and occupational therapy. My husband stayed there for a month. The staff seemed very friendly and was very happy working there. The place was very clean and the people were cleaning and keeping everything nice at all times. The food was excellent.

The facilities may be nice, but I couldn't tell you. My family went there for a tour in anticipation of my father being discharged from the hospital and needing rehab. We were told within 1 minute of stepping in the door that there were no beds available and wouldn't be in the forseeable future. We requested a tour of the rehab facility anyway. The tour consisted of showing us the cafeteria, peeking in a room, and looking down the hall at the rehab area. It lasted 2 minutes. We were then asked which insurance my father had. When we told them, we were told "oh, they don't pay us that well". What I didn't tell tell them is that I'm a physician who works right down the street and sees many of their patients. This rating is based on my interaction of the staff and my interaction with them, and not on the facilities.

We like Presbyterian Village because it had skilled nursing. In case her condition deteriorates, we would not have to look for a place all over again. The staff is very friendly and supportive. They seemed to know all the residents' names and try to make it a point to get to know the family members that come in to visit. The room is nice but a little smaller than what we hoped for. It has a nice, private bathroom with its own shower. It was comfortable with a high ceiling and a window that looks out into a little garden area. The whole place is 60 acres and really nice with a lake, a dock, and a little gazebo.

Presbyterian Village was 5-star but didn't have space. The rooms were excellent, spacious, and clean. I think the residents were very content.

I was able to check out Presbyterian Village, and it was very nice. The people were very nice, and the rooms were nice as well. I think the meals are good. The rooms of the apartment that I went to were nice and bright. One thing I also like about this place is that every apartment has a little deck or a patio, and the grounds floors have an outside opening. I also like their activities.

Presbyterian Village is lovely, well-kept property, and everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. The staff was excellent. They have terrific amount of activities, and they have a monthly calendar that just filled with things. The rooms were delightful, and the food was very good. We had what we wanted. We visited seven or eight facilities, but this is the first one we felt at home.

I visited a friend at Presbyterian, and it was very nice and very clean. The room was nice, spacious, and everyone was very nice and cordial. You could stay on the grounds for all the different needs you might have. They have many different things for the facility, and I know they have mini buses that can take you from different areas and appointments.

The reason why Presbyterian Village is my second choice is because it is slightly above my range; otherwise it would have been on top of my list. They have outdoor pool as well as indoor pool. Their indoor pool has a five-person staffing to work with people on individualized exercises. I need that kind of thing and that is reason why it is really important to me. I can't exercise well without being in the water. Presbyterian Village is just beautiful. It is on a 60-acre that has been declared a wildlife sanctuary. It is beautifully landscaped with flowerbeds all around. It has a nice-sized lake where the facilities are. It has independent living, assisted living, memory care and nursing home. They're all in separate buildings that are connected by paved walkways. For people who like wildlife and animals, there are geese and ducks on the pond. I also saw little rabbits hopping around and chipmunks. There are walking paths that go on like when you want to go on hiking. They also have very nice apartments. Some are handicap-equipped that are a little bit larger so you can move around in a wheelchair. They have showers that you can actually just roll into. I was also very impressed with the staff that I met. Their residents seemed to be really happy there. The food is highly rated too. My daughter and I had one meal there and it was absolutely delicious. I would absolutely recommend this place.

I chose Presbyterian Village for many reasons, one of which it was highly recommended and I was also close to my sister-in-law. They had good food. The staff were nice to everyone, they accommodated you in any way they could, prompt and very courteous. I would recommend this facility to other people.

It's a very nice place and the care given there is great from my point of view. The residents seem happy so that lets me know that it's a place where you can enjoy your later years. I would recommend this place to a loved one and since my grandfather loves his dog, he would love the fact that he would be able to take him with him. My grandfather is 89 years old and sometimes it shocks me to see how well he is compared to some of the elders there that are younger than him. That makes me a bit unsure of how he would like living there since he is in such good shape at his age. The pets, the location, and the helpfulness of the staff are the things that would have me to recommend him to a place like this. Great place for elders period.

My husband was in the facility after an extended hospital stay. He needed a level of care I could not provide, and he needed to work with a trained physical therapist twice a day. Most of the time he was there he had a roommate, some more compatible than others. His room was comfortable and had a private bath. Residents could provide their own televisions and had the option of having a phone installed. We had a phone installed and we spoke several times a day, even though I visited him every day. The level of nursing care was excellent and the staff physician was regularly available.Meals were served in a dining room with four residents per table. My husband did not like the meals, saying they were frequently dry and tasteless. However, he was allowed to leave the campus for a meal. The grounds are huge and beautifully maintained. Most days I wheeled my husband down to the lake gazebo and we share time together there. Activities for the residents were regular and varied - bingo, a visiting pianist, Wheelchair dances, etc. Having had previous experience with nursing homes, we were delighted this experience was a good one.

I visited this center with my dad. The facility itself was extremely nice. When I took a tour around I noticed there was an indoor pool with seniors doing some health fitness actitivies in the water with different staff members. Many of the seniors were busy doing various activities provided by the center. The staff were very helpful and showed concern. One of the seniors was still hungry from the lunch meal, so they gave him some jello.
