My grandmother moved into Hollander Sandy Springs. I liked it, she has her own bedroom with a walk-in closet, and a bathroom. She's in the dementia unit, the doors are locked, but they have a whole level to themselves with kitchen, dining, TV, and everything they need. They have a schedule of activities, and they take them outside. They have an open area, when you come out of your apartment, you go right into a common area, they have birds, TV for the residents, and they can walk to the hall into another area where there's a dining room, and a kitchen they kept locked so the residents can't go in; but there's always somebody there. There's always staff there.

Hollander Senior Living of Sandy Springs was nice, clean, and seemed to have good security. The staff members seem to be very attentive to the resident. It is very affordable for the memory care side. The food looked good. They have a nice room, and it was nice sized. They had a private bath and shower area. They offer various activities, like bingo. They have a television and a little exercise room so that the residents can get some exercise.

I didn't feel that Hollander Senior Living of Sandy Springs was well kept up. The people and the staff were very nice and friendly, they were very helpful, but the maintenance and upkeep needed work. The people that I met were very good, they were knowledgeable. I didn't really like the layout of the place, it was like an upstairs-downstairs kind of thing. They had an elevator but I didn't like that.

Hollander Senior Living of Sandy Springs was an older facility. I thought it looked a little dated, but it was clean. I talked to a couple of residents and they were happy there. In terms of the physical structure, though, it was old. The staff messed up the appointment, but when they accommodated me, they were fine.

We visited Hollander Springs. It was more of an elder facility, and it wasn't that large. The people could not have been nicer. It seemed the residents were happy, and majority of the people we saw were female. The one apartment that would fit her budget had a little screened porch, and it needed a little bit of work. It was in a shady area, and the wood may have needed replacing, and they would have done that. However, the room was just a bedroom and a bathroom, and that freaked mom out when we told her about it. It was 20 miles out from my sister, and in cases of emergency, we couldn't get there fast enough. However, it was clean and looked like they provided everything.

My mother has been here for about 2 years, and while Hollander has undergone much turnover and transition lately, primarily due to a new managing company, I am very hopeful about the new changes taking place. My father was in 4 different facilities for Memory Care during his lifetime, and this is my mother's second "home". Even with all the changes, Hollander has maintained its family style atmosphere, which is what drew me to it in the first place. The other residents, some with memory issues and some without, are truly like family to me, and I love visiting. I have yet to find a place that is perfect, however the price is reasonable and they truly care!

We found Hollander which was close by to our house, I placed my wife there for two nights just to test how it works, and she liked it. The rooms were very good. They have a caring team which is outstanding, a library, and they have activities. They have Bingo, and they get people from the community to come every day and run games, competitions, and quizzes. It’s a very active place, and it involves the community to look after the seniors. The parking area is small, but once you step inside, you feel as though you’re in a home that cares. Also, they don’t have a minimum length of stay, so you can book for one night.

We place my mother in Hollander Senior Living. From my first impression, it seems to be clean, well run, and has lots of things to be happy there. It is very nicely decorated, and the apartments are nice. We want a place that has a kind of a homey feel and a smaller community. I'll be honest, the price is good as well. They have silver sneakers 4 days a week. They do bingo. They take them on shopping excursions, and they take them to church. There are a lot of opportunities for her to socialize, and they do a lot of crafting projects.

I visited Hollander in Sandy Springs. We are still considering putting her in it, and I wish he would decide on it. I loved it because first of all the smallness and the location in the neighborhood. The rooms are beautiful. The décor and the way it is setup are just beautiful. The staff is long term or at least the couple of people I met. Everything seems to be convenient to everything else for the people as far as mobility. When they said they would reassess her, they seem to have knowledgeable people. It was a flat fee place and none of the level of care add-ons.

Just Wow! Mom has been a resident of this community for nearly 3 years now. We have always been very pleased with the staff, quality of care, and activities, however since the new management stepped in, we have been thoroughly impressed with the major improvements! The property has been physically upgraded in the last 6 months and you can tell that there is a whole new level of attention to detail. Mom now has menu choices and new fresh daily cuisine from the new chef is phenomenal! The entire interior was repined and had new carpet installed, which gave the whole community a remarkable facelift. The executive staff are knowledgable and now seem to go above and beyond their duties. Yes the rates have increased slightly as another reviewer pointed out, however they are still significantly lower rates than the nearest competitors, and having moved mom from a neighboring community, I can attest that this community BY FAR has the best value for the cost. My husband and I could not be happier, and Mom loves the attention and activities she gets from the staff. I honestly cannot thank the staff enough. The community was recently rebranded and is now called "Hollander Senior Living"

After my mom was placed in a home my father got sick and I was busy working which involved traveling. It was hard to leave my only parent and work so far but i must sat the employees here made me feel as if i had nothing to worry about. i was able to speak with my dad every single day without any issues. he would let me know how great everything was. and finally when i got situated he came to live with me and i even to this day his still talks about two of the employees that worked for summers landing and how they helped him cope with everything.

The staff here are great. Wonderful Executive Director very friendly and actually gets to know everyone. The food is freshly prepared and they serve a variety of healthy things that taste good as well. Facility is somewhat dated but everything else was great! Therefore no complaints. also awesome security who makes you sign in an out!

i was searching for a place for a relative of mine so i went here and i must say they treat the residents here very well. i saw the seniors being catered to whether it was something simple as help with lipstick or something big as bathing.
