My wife and I moved into Canterbury Court after looking at other Senior communities.. There were 3 things I was looking for: friendly neighbors, exercise availability and good dining. I found that Canterbury had all these and more. One of my main criteria was exercise. Canterbury has wonderful exercise equipment and truly competent instructors. It also has a new swimming pool, where I can do my water walking, as well as swimming and water exercises. There is a wonderful garden with lots of room to walk, sit and talk, and even run, if you want to...all fenced in as Canterbury gardens. We moved into our apartment and within a week, we knew 5 neighbors, 2 couples and 3 single women who have, to this day, become good and faithful friends. I have been here now for 2 years. It is the best decision we could have made.

Canterbury Court was superior. They are expanding their building right now. Everyone was super nice. We visited everything there and my wife was impressed with the furnishing, the program, and the whole shebang. That's the only one in Atlanta that she's thoroughly impressed with. I loved it. They have trips to every symphony and art (I'm an artist). The staff was thoroughly professional and responsible. We did not doubt that we would be well taken care of there. They have all kinds of activities and stuff that I'd be interested in. It was awesome. They had the whole wing and it was very beautiful. The food was delicious. Everything there was first class.

One of the best lifetime decisions I have made was to move to Canterbury Court when I was 70. A life-plan community is a practical choice and an even better financial investment. After 10 years living here through a pandemic, construction, and expansion I know that my life is better, more interesting, and fun than I had ever expected. I have made friends, stayed involved, and remained active both in and away from Canterbury. Nothing beats our swimming pool, fitness rooms, or more than 6 acres of green space out our back door. And I have made the decisions about what will happen if I need more assistance – I will just move to another level of care in the same building. This is the best long-term care plan available and I’m happy to be at Canterbury Court.

My husband and I moved to Canterbury Court 2 years ago and have never regretted our decision. Everything here is designed for seniors to live a full, healthy and happy life: lovely and spacious apartments, wonderful meals prepared and served by a caring and friendly staff. There are many opportunities for physical fitness and a full weekly calendar of art and entertainment events. We especially appreciate the continuous care feature which assures us of care when we need it. Canterbury's best feature for us is the smiling faces and wonderful friends we've made here. Our cat loves it too!

Life here is fabulous! My little dog loves it as everyone is as friendly to her as they are to me and all the residents and staff! Every thing is organized to make the residents happy. I feel so safe and secure. I had an opportunity to be in skilled nursing for a few days and I will never fear going there permanently.

I have always been a bit impetuous when making purchases, some I've regretted and had to live with, some not so bad. So, when I was confronted with my most recent quest, I decided that there could be no mistakes since this would be the biggest and most likely, last major decision that would affect the rest of my life and my husband's. With that in mind, I began the search for an adult facility that would encompass all of the necessary items that fit into our life style and the search lasted two long arduous years, going to visit at least fifteen different facilities all over the southern region and finally resulting in finding perfection through friends sending us a Christmas card and inviting us over for an innocent visit. The Canterbury Court has been the best thing that has happened to both of us. With my husband's memory declining, I knew we needed two levels of living. Here, I don't have to get in a car and drive to see him. He is merely a catwalk away, but I choose most times to walk through the garden. I see him daily and thoroughly enjoy our visits. (We have fallen in love all over again.) The nursing staff is incredible and attentive the only thing he complains of is the amount of activities that they are always inviting him to participate in (but he welcomes the attention.) As for my accommodations, I couldn't be happier. Talk about activities, there is always something to do daily. Sometimes I have to choose whether I want to attend the symphony, see a play at the Fox, take tours of the city, attend church services in the beautiful chapel, do an assortment of workout classes and on and on. The food is incredible and plentiful. There are several restaurants that cater to your culinary desire all day long. I feel like I live in a village with everything available and can go out if I desire on one of the nice spacious buses that have designated days to take you shopping at the more popular stores. When I first walked into the Canterbury, I felt as if I were in one of the fancy hotel lobbies in a foreign city. Walking in the incredible garden, I was transformed into an enchanted forest. I guess I sound like I am in love with this place and I am. Thank God that I waited until I found what we wanted and more than what we needed. We plan to spend the rest of our lives here in paradise. Come and see us. If this is not what you want, you're going to have a hard search on your hands. Did I mention how incredibly wonderful and friendly everyone is? I have a new and extended family and never get tired of sharing time with them.

Canterbury Court was very nice. It was a much more formal atmosphere, but it was very good. They just did not seem to be a good fit for me. The apartments were very nice. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It was very clean and very well-kept. I have seriously considered it except for the fact that they would have required that I essentially purchase a unit and I don't want to make a long-term commitment.

Canterbury Court in Atlanta is very impressive because it is like a luxury hotel and the decorations were nice. They're building a new building that won't be ready for a year so basically, that's what we're focused on. We saw independent living but they also had assisted living. They couldn't show us the new stuff, of course, it was not built yet. They have a new building that they're putting up. Right now, there's only one building. We saw their one and a half bedrooms. They were spacious and nicely laid out and it's a classy-looking outfit. But of course, we also talked about the new building, because that was our focus. The place is nice. The staff was friendly. They had all the amenities that we would want. I didn't see any activities going on, but they spoke of them. They told us about activities that they're engaged in regularly and their willingness to add others if the residents wanted them. They also offer transportation and they give residents access to a lot of community activities.

It was a Great Decision to move to Canterbury Court! The residents and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Our gardens are a great source of beauty and serenity for our community in the heart of Buckhead with access to so much that Atlanta has to offer. I am so grateful for the support and creativity of our staff during this pandemic. They go above and beyond to keep us safe and secure.

As a new resident, but visiting since 2015, I have always been impressed by the quality of the facility, welcoming community, excellent activities program (though of course greatly curtailed with Covid), safety measures with Covid, beautiful gardens, excellent food, etc. "Good energy"! Love the enclosed balconies overlooking the gardens.

Canterbury Court is lovely. It's a little larger than where we are now and a little more expensive. They have a full schedule of programs and activities. The dining room looked like a really nice restaurant.

I like this facility because they accept people of all religions. I like the tone here and it has a wonderful home environment. All the people are very warm and cordial and the services are excellent. The staff is well trained and they're really good at their job. The food is outstanding and they have wonderful varying menus. My place here is a one bedroom condo type and it's beautiful. Everything is here is very beautiful. You can even have a very large balcony. I think that every room has a large balcony.

Everyone was nice you can tell the seniors enjoyed being there just by seeing the smiles on their face. i was even able to help clean some of the rooms the staff makes sure each room stays clean and all trash cans are emptied.
