My mother lived at Aston for eight years and was extremely happy, as was I, her daughter. The employees are so caring and nurturing. They are always doing their best and always improving, not resting on their laurels, for all of the residents.

My mother-in-law is at Aston Gardens At Pelican Pointe. She started in independent living and now she is in assisted living. It's great, especially the assisted living side. The independent living side is great as well. The apartments are very, very nice. They have a lot to do. If the person wants to stay in their apartment and chill, they can, or if they want to go, there's a lot to do. I'm very happy with Aston Gardens. We couldn't ask for anything better. They picked my mother-in-law up and put her in bed. She's still recovering from hip surgery. They're wonderful. I sat and had dinner with my mother-in-law, and I thought the food was great. For activities, what's nice is the staff. Any time an activity starts, whether it's bingo, whether they're playing cards, whether they're doing a craft, whatever it is they're doing, they come and physically walk into the room and say, 'We're doing this right now. Why don't you come and join us?' They actively seek to get the residents out of their apartments to come and interact with other people. I love my mother-in-law's room. She was in a one-bedroom, and she moved into a studio. It's smaller but the kitchen is nice. It's got a sink, a microwave, and a small refrigerator. The view she has in her room, one whole wall is all windows, so she overlooks the garden, and she can see the beautiful flowers and the palm trees. The view is spectacular. The studio apartments are smaller, but she's happy. We had to buy her new furniture to fit, but she loves it, it's cozy, and she has all her comforts. They're great. I love the staff, too. It's a fantastic place. They take very good care of your family members.

I am in Aston Gardens At Pelican Pointe. I think I am fine where I am. What I like the best is the residents. We have a wonderful time. The people are very friendly. We do a lot of things together. We have a huge selection of food, too. In the evening, we have three main courses. There are two at lunch. If you're not happy with those, there's another page of meals that you can choose from. Ther are sandwiches, salads, or other things. There are lots of choices. There are many activities. There are card games, swimming, exercising, movies, band concerts, symphonies, and artwork. People on the ground floor have gardens, and they can do that. I actually have an orchid garden on my lanai. There is so much to do that I can hardly keep up with it. The staff members here are wonderful. It's not a young community. It's been here for 20 or more years, and there are things that maybe could be done.

We went to Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe and we were blown away. It was top-of-the-line. It was like being at the Ritz Carlton. It was beautiful, very modern, and clean. We were very impressed. Of course, it was pricy, but it would be well worth it. We were looking at independent living, but they have other wings that are assisted and memory care. I liked everything and there was nothing I didn't like except for the price, but you get what you pay for. It was nice because there are different buildings and so if you wanted to go to the main dining or whatever, they had drivers to pick you up and it was very easy to get around everything. The staff was very friendly and nice. They offer everything, casino trips, bus trips, going to stores, a lot of activities during the day, music, and bingo. You name it, they have it, and probably if they don't have it, they would get it if you wanted it. That's the impression I got. The rooms were excellent. They were almost 1000 square feet, like a one-bedroom with a den or two bedrooms and your own separate eating area. It's absolutely beautiful. You can eat off the floor. It was great.

I moved into Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe, and it's excellent. They are very kind, supportive, and friendly. It's a really good deal. I would recommend it. I have a two-bedroom place, and it's very nice. They have several different choices. They have activities all the time.

Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe is in Venice, and I have friends and relatives close by. They have all three facilities, and it's easy moving from one facility to the other. They have four or five-star ratings already. They only had appetizers at that time, and they were fine. They had a gym, a salon, a card room, and a library. They had all the facilities that you need. It's near the hospital and malls. They have a van that takes you around.

My parents are in Aston Gardens right now. The management treats them very poorly. Like Mom and Dad got their breakfast and they asked for prune juice. They are allowed to pick up six drinks for several days, and the people said, "No, you can't have six, you can only have four." These people who go there are paying big bucks, like close to $5,000 a month and they're told that they can't have two extra glasses of prune juice? When they first moved in there was furniture in the lobby that had been so worn it was threadbare. There were weeds around the pool. My 92-year-old father was so disgusted with it that he finally weeded around the pool himself. If you talked to the management about it they would actually say to people, "If you don't like it here, you can go somewhere else," instead of fixing the problems. The management instead of fixing things would say, "Oh, of course." They take it personally and they don't accommodate the people there. They joke to themselves saying, "Oh we're the children, we're treated like children," but for people who are paying this kind of money they don't accommodate them. They go above and beyond to help the independent living people. Here, it's like a battle to get anything done. The umbrellas at the pool are supposed to be put up every morning, but they're not. These are seniors so they complain that the umbrellas aren't up. The solution to that was they took the umbrellas away. These are old people who need the umbrellas to sit under because it's hot out. But then when management came to check everything, the umbrellas were out and opened. The food, before COVID, was a five, but now it's a thee. Their apartment would be a five; it was lovely. The amenities, the pool and all that, would be a five. The dining room staff is a five and management is a two. The activities director is wonderful, she is a five. The value for money is a three, but housekeeping is minimal.

We toured Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe. It was very good, very nice, a bright place, fairly new, and it had a big pool. The rooms were spacious, had large storage space, with lots of windows, and we liked it a lot. They had other levels of care. The atmosphere was very nice. They serve two meals a day, and they have a nice kitchen with appliances so you you can make other meals. It's very homey. They have a pool table, card games, they bring people in, and they have a really full calendar. They have transportation to doctors and wherever you want to go, and their amenities are all inclusive.

Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe is where we want to go. The apartments were very nice and a good size. It's very comfortable. Everything about it was nice. We really liked it. It's beyond my expectations. They had a lot of amenities, like two swimming pools, an exercise room, and a barber shop. The dining area was very nice and very clean. The staff was very nice. The food was very good.

Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe was the one my mother was interested in. She would've loved it, but my dad said it looked like an old ladies club. I saw people playing bridge. The staff was excellent. We had lunch there, and their food was excellent. They gave me a doggie bag for cookies for my dad to bring home. My dad said it's too many women, but I like it. It's very nice.

My mom moved to Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe about a year ago. She's happy there, and she likes it. They have line dancing, Bingo, mahjong, and social dances. There are 2 meals a day, and each resident has their own kitchen.

We saw the memory care of Aston Gardens At Pelican Pointe. We didn’t see any residents and the director said they were probably sleeping. He took us to a room which was too cold that none of us could stay in that room; we had to go out. We also didn’t like that everything is dark brown or in dark tones. All the places were dark; they looked like dungeons. The independent living and the assisted living were beautiful. They were bright and cheerful.

After looking at Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe, we were interested in looking at the one in Tampa. My general impression was pretty good. This one in Pelican Pointe was a much nicer facility, but the location is a little too far away for us. It was a good, short visit. I noticed the lack of exercise facilities.

Aston Gardens was a top-of-the-line place. We did not eat there, but I talked to some of the residents who said the food was wonderful. Their facilities were all at the top level. The personnel was very good, well-informed about their place, and presented it all very well. I saw more going on at Aston Gardens than in some of the others. The card room had all four tables filled with different groups playing different games. There was a group out in the pool exercising, and someone was in the weight room.

I visited Aston Gardens. They had independent living with kitchens in the rooms. They had activities, a library, computers, art classes, and a number of other things. They had a bulletin board of different activities every day. The scenery was very pretty.

Overall, I'm happy with the whole place and people at Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe. It's working out very well for my wife who at first was not used to such a big place with that many buildings. She's happy with the meals and where she lives.

Aston Gardens had several buildings all apart from but close to the common building. We had an OK but not outstanding lunch. They had a wonderful, large pool in an area that was not busy. The staff who showed us around explained the various programs and showed us the activity rooms. We saw art and exercise rooms, which were pretty similar to the other places I've visited.

I visited Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe and I like that very much. The atmosphere was very nice. It was very friendly and positive. People have fun there. I have friends there. The only thing I didn’t like is if you can’t stay in indepnedent living, you have to leave to go to another building, which is quite nice, but that’s a move that would be hard for my aunt. I wasn’t interested in that. I like the dining room. It was a little dark but it was nice. The rooms were very nice, but I don’t like the fact that they have a big kitchen. I like the staff because the staff was very nice, and they have worked there long-term, which is very important.

I ate at the Aston Gardens, and the food was wonderful. I was quite familiar with the place because I go there every other Tuesday to hear a lecture from the professor that comes down from Tampa. So I was kind of familiar with the surroundings, and I did visit them one other time. They have independent living and assisted living, and then memory care, so they're quite bigger than the others I've visited. When I went, though, they were booked up and didn't have a guest room or anything to show me. The dining facility was beautiful. I know they have bridge groups and lectures, and they go to a lot of shopping and take you to your doctors' appointments. They seemed very accommodating, and they were more expensive than the others. They have a beautiful clubhouse and a beautiful dining room with chandeliers.

We had lunch at Aston Gardens, and it was excellent. The dining area was extremely nice. We had no qualms about the place. It was easy to go around. They had medical facilities that they provided. They had transportation. The apartments were very nice. We only saw one, but it was big enough for use except that the lanai was very small. Other than that, the kitchen was beautiful because most of the people there still had the old-fashioned electric rings on the stove. They activities like swimming. They had a putting green there. We were really excited about it. We could go there without a doubt. However, the day we were there, the policy was that men had to wear long pants in the dining room after 4 o'clock, which did not appeal to me because I did not even own a pair of long pants. I found out a week later from friends that we referred there that that was changed and they could now wear shorts at dinner. You could have a continental breakfast and a dinner or a lunch, not both, but there was enough food for the people. You could take a doggie bag up and have it that night if you wanted. It was very close to a public supermarket. You could walk there. The staff was very nice. We had a good feedback from other people we knew, and they loved it. From, what I had seen, I would recommend it to others. If you were walking from the outside into the building, the door would automatically open for you.

My parents were in Aston Gardens before. It was very nice. The staff was just fine, but it was independent living, so there wasn't a lot of interaction.

Hello, We do appreciate your feedback and will look into this. However I am confused on 2 things if you could help me with. 1) Does this person reside here at Pelican Pointe? 2) What type of interaction do you mean? We would be happy to discuss these.

We visited Aston Gardens. The people were very well informed, very friendly, and cooperative. They were very helpful with the inquiries. The facility was extremely well set up. It was beautiful, and it had beautiful grounds. It was very nice because it had the three levels of care -- independent living, assisted living and memory care. The apartments were very well planned out. We had lunch, and the food was excellent. They did a wonderful job. It was a very good experience. They had a wide variety of activities, and they also offered transportation to doctor appointments and churches. The daily calendar was very well put together. It is a very superior facility.

I like Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe. It’s clean, and its location is excellent. Some of their residents were asked to be ambassadors and talked to us about how wonderful the facility was. They serve three meals a day. I also like the fact that you can have a small dog, and you get a first floor place.

We like the Aston Gardens. It was so beautiful. They do have covered walkways to apartment buildings. So if it is raining, you could walk and not get wet, but if you don't want to walk to the main building where the dining room is, they'll come with a golf cart to take you to the front door and drive you back if you don't want to walk or if you can't walk. The dining room was absolutely elegant. The food was delicious. The waiters and waitresses were very polite. The apartments were gorgeous. You have a kitchen nicer than my kitchen now, e.g., granite counters, all the appliances you could possibly want, and nice cupboard space. All the units have a small lanai. Each unit had its own washer and dryer, and that is a great feature. The hallways were well lit. They have a beautiful swimming pool, a beautiful outdoor Jacuzzi, and beautiful palm trees all around. Aston Gardens was gorgeous.

I made a good choice coming here at Aston Gardens. They have so many good things to offer. I even gave up my car-buses shopping and appointments to doctors. We have nurses on premises and a doctor during Fridays. We also have lots of activities like dancing, games, cards, theaters, and trips. There is always something for everyone. The place is great!

Among the things I enjoy in Aston Gardens the most are the camaraderie and companionship with everyone, the activities, food, and the carefree lifestyle. Here, we have no home to take care of and things are done for us. What more could I say? I existed in Georgia. Now, I am living in Aston Gardens!

After looking into fourteen independent living complexes, we chose Aston Gardens as the one that met our needs the best. After living here for nineteen months, we still believe that we made the right choice at the right time. We have made many new friends, have partaken in many activities, and have felt at home. We recommend living in this place and be surrounded with a caring and friendly staff.

Aston Gardens' location is very convenient and is near stores. They have a nice selection in terms of accomodations. The residents are busy all the time. We have arranged trips which we have a lot to choose from. The transportation is from our door and back home again. Meal time is always a pleasant experience. We have varied menu to choose from. Plus, home made cookies for everyone. For 3 years in living here, I have had fun and have made many friends. Indeed, it is a home.

My father was in independent living at Ashton Gardens. Ashton Gardens was great. He had a wonderful apartment with a nice kitchen, a microwave, and a dishwasher, which he never used. He also had washer and dryer in the apartment. There was a lot of entertainment. The dining room was luxurious. Everything was really wonderful. The relationship between the residents and the staff was very good. The only thing I didn't like was that if for some reason a resident couldn't get down to dinner, they charged $7 to bring up the food up. If he can't make it and you have somebody to go pick it up, it is $4.

Aston Gardens is clean and friendly, but the food is absolutely terrible. It is bland and tasteless, and they do not have provision for any special diet. Gardens of Venice is beautiful and brand new. It's just absolutely excellent. We couldn't have found a better place for my sister. So far the staff is very nice, very good, competent, and very friendly. We have had lunch and dinner several times there. The food was outstanding. They have all sorts of activities, from movies, to trips, to bingo, they offer everything there. My sister does not want to participate in a lot, because she has language problem. But she's fine.

I looked for many places for my relatives in Sarasota County and Aston Gardens is by far the best. It is clean, well-run, staffed by experienced professionals, and everybody looks well-taken care of and happy. The dining room is lovely and elegant with a friendly staff. If anything needs repairing, someone is quickly at the door. It is a quality place and the price is right.

We chose Aston Gardens for my in-laws because she was comfortable in that territory and it sounded like a nice place for them. The apartments are nice and spacious and it's very clean. They're living on their own but they go down to eat at a very nice restaurant there. I liked the part that they put new carpet in and repainted everything so it looked brand new when my in-laws moved in.

Aston Gardens is very new and upscale. They would have buses to take them shopping and to their doctors. But you could still be independent and have your car there. They had big, big units. They had a nice dining room, a bar, a little library and an exercise room. They have a calendar of events with classes and field trips. It's one of the best around the area.

I visited Aston Gardens last year and was very impressed. The apartments give you the feel of independence that makes the residence feel comfortable. They have a very nice dining area that gives the feel of a nice restaurant more than a cafeteria. All the staff members that I encountered were very friendly and sincere. I work at a local hospital and have spoken with many residence and they speak very highly of this facility. I found it to be very clean with very cool Mediterranean architecture. There was a very nice pool area and several residents were pool side. The layout of this facility makes it very easy to move from one building to the next. There is a real sense of community here. While I was visiting a relative, 2 different people came by to check in since my car didn't look familiar. This made me feel like the place was very safe. They also had fence (and gate) around the complex and visible security.
