I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My Mom was a resident of Trinity Regional for four years. She was treated with dignity and kindness by the staff. The facility was clean and quite pleasant. The food was not terrible just typical institution food. I'm not sure we can expect better than that unless the facility has an executive chef. LOL Seriously, I would recommend this facility to any one who wants good care. Sadly, my Mom has passed away at 94, but I will always be grateful for the care she received at Trinity Regional.

My mother was at Trinity Regional Rehab Center. She was there on and off for six weeks this year until the 6th of January. It's eight years old, so it's fairly new compare to others. I've found that the room was filthy and the care was very poor. We've had repeatedly bad experiences there. They would leave my mother to be dead. She had COVID, nobody paid attention. She had double pneumonia after COVID, nobody paid attention. She had UTI too. When she said that she had to go to the bathroom, they said "Oh, just use your diaper." She's waited an hour for somebody to come and help her go to the bathroom. As far as I'm concerned, the state of her health is their fault. The facilities were dirty. I think they're terribly understaffed. Their receptionist has multiple tasks and the phones aren't answered a lot of the time. The nurses, if you ask them to call you back, it's just a hit or miss if you can find somebody.

General care was adequate. Some employees more concerned then others. Night staff was terrible. Could not get them to respond to call light. Facility was clean but in 16 days sheets were changed only once. Showers only given on Thursday and Sundays. Food is absolutely terrible. PT staff was great and very helpful. I’ve been told that this is one of the better facilities in the area. If that’s true it’s very sad. I have to have both knees replaced and I will look around and check other facilities in my area. Doctor on call only checked in twice in entire stay. Finding most of these places not great. Shows our nations lack of concern for care of elderly.

What a great experience at Trinity Regional Rehab Center! My 75 year old mother was hospitalized on January 18, 2018, for several pelvic fractures. She was discharged from the hospital on January 23rd. I attempted to transfer her to TRR on that date, but wasn’t able to, at that time. She was transferred to and admitted to a local New Port Richey skilled nursing care facility. What a nightmare! She remained at the NPR location until I was able to transfer her to TRR, on February 8, 2018. Mom’s entire outlook and attitude positively changed upon admission. What a night and day comparison to the NPR facility. She remained at TRR until she was discharged on March 3, 2018. I was thoroughly impressed with the TRR facility and staff. Everyone was professional and so attentive. The facility is bright, clean, and well-kept. The outdoor gazebo area is a great escape for patients and their families. The dining and media rooms were great perks, as well. The entire staff communicated with me throughout her stay, including a conference call with LPN Heather and admin-in-training Andrea after initial admission and health & PT review. I was notified of all changes in medication and status. Mom loved her entire PT/OT team, including Doug and Kimberly. Jane at the front desk was kind and professional. Heather C, LPN, was attentive, professional, and answered any and all questions presented. Nurse unit manager, Susan, contacted me several times each week, with updates. Danielle, CNA, in the spa/shower was very gentle with my mother during her showers. Mary, LPN, was so personable and kindly tolerated all of my questions and concerns regarding the various medications dispensed. Kelly and Amy, both supervising RN’s, always took the time to assist me and address any concerns. Wound Care personnel evaluated my mom’s wounds every Wednesday and her bedsores, which she received at the NPR facility, healed rapidly. Mom was thrilled to have her hair permed in the facility hair salon. Maria, in the business office, communicated with me regarding insurance coverage and any outstanding payments due. I also received a follow-up call from Scott, the facility manager, after Mom’s discharge. Overall, this was a great experience. I highly recommend the facility and wouldn’t hesitate to admit my friends and family, in their time of need.

I visited this facility

I visited my friend at Trinity Regional Rehab after her hip surgery. The facility is so nice and very clean! I was surprised how busy they were, but the always responded to my friend whenever she needed them. The nursing staff was very nice; they really seem to care about their residents. They also assisted her in arranging for help at home - she really needed that. They exceeded both of our expectations! The food was good too - I ate several meals with her during her stay. It was like a restaurant. I would recommend Trinity Regional Rehab to anyone - the rehab team was terrific!

I visited this facility

I visited this facility while looking for skilled facility for a family member. The facility is immaculate and the staff are friendly and caring. The administrator was there and is clearly involved in day-to-day oversight. I learned she meets with families of new residents upon admission, visits patients in the facility frequently and is readily available to respond to questions and concerns. The Director of Nursing is experienced, knowledgeable and coordinates closely with physicians and her staff. Both rehabilitation and skilled nursing care is available in addition to CNAs for personal care. There is a friendly, home-like atmosphere at Trinity - not found at other facilities. I saw evidence of the respect staff have for individual patient preferences/wishes. I am an RN and was able to ask targeted questions and observe activities from a clinical perspective. The facility has an excellent rating with the State of FL - which I know from experience is not easily obtained. When my family member needs long term care, Trinity Regional Rehab Center is my first choice.

My husband was at this facility and it was great! He had knee surgery and the rehab had him up feeling good as soon as we got there. Food was so good, my husband ate well. The rooms were not real personal, but we didn't mind we were not staying long. I would recommend and use this facility again.

The facilities are beautiful! The care is non-existent! My mother got a wonderful shower on check-in, and Pauline her nurse was great! After that it was all downhill! Too few staff and the ones that are there are there just to have a job. There was no compassion for my 98-year-old mother who has to be helped up and down. You can call and call for help and no one comes. My mother sat in a chair in a pants full of mushy poop for an hour before someone would help clean her up and get her to a toilet. The staff during her first and ONLY night were loud, partying up and down the hall, laughing and having a great time! No concern for patients who were trying to sleep. The food was horrible, cold, and minimal, and very late in getting to the patients. By the time I got there the next morning, it took me a long time to get someone to come clean up my mother sitting in the poop. The helper that was assigned to her for that day never showed up. The helper with the woman next to mother finally felt so bad she came over and helped mother get to the toilet and get cleaned up. I said we are leaving right now. But no, they had to do an "evaluation" on her abilities later that afternoon, and the next day a nurse was going to come in and "look over the evaluation". I said no way, we are out of here! Then the business manager came and asked us 'what was wrong?' Well, where to start!!! I told her about the lack of care, the helpers at night that were extremely rude, loud and argumentative to my mother and the other lady, who ended up crying a lot that night! It was pitiful! So they were not going to let us leave until we signed a 'leaving without doctor authorization' paper that then would exclude us from insurance coverage. At that point it didn't matter, the place was unbearable! We opted to leave immediately regardless and then were told no one could help us out to the car! They reluctantly provided a wheelchair, but would not push it. I had to get mother out and to the car myself. This place is nothing but a money-making machine and a holding tank till someone can help get you out!!! I feel sorry for all those patients who don't have someone to speak for them. They are stuck! We would NEVER recommend this place to our worst enemy! Beware! Even complaining to the management and the agency that oversees these places, nothing gets done about it!

The facility is very nice. The staff is professional. The nursing staff could be a little nicer. My relative who is there now is so unhappy with the way she is treated by the nursing staff, she wants to go home at all costs. It's heartbreaking. The food is lousy and is never delivered in a timely manner.

I was made to belve I was in a medical facility NOT a rehab center where I would be considered a resident. I have a home, that, without my presence will disappear. Plus my daughter needs me. Im leaving tomorrow. I will not stay where decisions are made for me.

I am so pleased we researched and made the choice to go to this facility. The staff is so friendly and professional. My husband had knee surgery and the therapy was great. Plus he loved the food! We were not expecting to make friends and have such a good experience. We recommend.

This rehab is the best and trust me I researched. All the surgeons we spoke to recommended Trinity and I am so glad we listened. The care was good, the staff was so helpful. The food was really good. We were very impressed by the whole operation!

As of today, my brother , myself & sisters have decided to pull my mother out of Trinity Rehab, she had arrived last Thursday night and it has been a nightmare from that night on!!! The Rehabilitation Dept was great- the patient care was ABSOLUTELY horrible!!! From assisting one who is not able to move on their own to the way they talk to these patients was SHOCKING to hear/see especially being on the other end of the phone hearing them talk to my mother! So unacceptable!!!! Night shift was so disrespectful- loud & didn't care that their patients were trying to sleep! My mother is just now getting her speech back and is a little more clear to hear. My heart goes out to those there who don't have a loved one to be that voice, that have family members that do not visit very often!! We gave the president of the company as well as the director 24-48hrs to correct this situation and with that being said nothing changed!!!! My mother was not safe in the care of this facility! Do your self a favor and NEVER allow a loved one into this facility!

Trinity Regional Rehab Center is wonderful the way they took care of residents. My mom is not able to walk anymore. She has to have all her food pureed, because she can’t eat solid food. So the only thing she has to say about it is she doesn’t all the time get the food that she’s asked for on the menu, and sometimes the food is not as hot as she would like. But the people, the CNAs, the nurses were wonderful. I’m happy she’s there.

My sister went in for a knee replacement and our orthopedic surgeon recommended Trinity Regional Rehab. We didn't check any reviews, just selected Trinity on our doctor's word. We were so impressed! The care was top shelf, the nurse's went out of their way to be kind and attentive to my sister. All the therapists were great. She will be back for the other knee replacement this fall.

My Father was at this facility after he had a stroke. I was lucky that he got to go to Trinity Rehab. The therapist helped my father regain all of the weakness on his left side from the stroke. He is home now and playing golf like the pro he was. I don't know if he would have gotten this far if it wasn't for the therapy team. Ashley was a great inspiration for him and we are ever grateful. The food was good and the nurses didn't want my father to leave. lol. If you have a choice or have questions go there and talk to them. Look around. You will be impressed. My mom and I were happy with Trinity and their care.

I like the looks of Trinity Regional Rehab Center. I liked the layout; it was very tidy and very neat. I like some of the amenities that they had for the patients. They had a place where the patients could go out and view the water; they had a specific place for smoking. The trouble is they were full, and they were going to be full for a while, so we discounted them. They were very business-like, but they were very nice and gave a lot of information.

Very upset. Recd a call that I needed to pay for my dad's private room (he had already been there for 4 days) I told them to send an invoice, 5 minutes later get a call from my dad telling me someone from Admin was in his room wanting money. I told her I just spoke to someone and they said they would send an invoice, she still wanted money and threatened to put him in a semi private room. WHO goes into a sick person's room, demanding money which they had no money/wallet on them in the first place. I spoke to the CEO of the to explain what happened, he was nice and all and said an invoice would be sent out, but still feel like money is bottom line. Other problems there too, just be warned, I know no place is perfect but really, this was just too much.

The facilty is nice and clean and the nursing staff was nice, but they do over work their nurses, my mom staying on the 2nd floor and I found that their night shift staff have only 2 nurses, while their other shift have 3, I feel so bad for them. No wonder they will a bit slow by checking mg mom.

if anyone's friend or relative needs to be pushed to have therapy then they need to obtain emotional assistance first. I needed therapy, I did it, with their assistance, and I am home and doing fine.

Excellent care and rehab. My father had fallen at home and after surgery, was ordered to go to rehab. Trinity Regional Rehab exceeded our expectations. All the staff were kind and helpful, nurses, therapists, managers, everyone appears to enjoy working there. Staff speak highly of the upper management and my family had no problem finding and discussing treatment with the managers - the director even gave me her cell phone number!

While Trinity Rehab Center is a very nice place there are a few things to consider. I found that many unnessary tests were performed on my Mother. The therapy department does not really push the residents. I would not recommend this rehab center to anyone that needs therapy.
