My mother is in Market Street East Lake. It's 100% memory care. It's the top-of-the-line community in my neighborhood for my mom's care. The staff is loving, caring, compassionate, and attentive. I ate chicken and waffles and it's good. It's beautiful and clean and it doesn't smell like piss. It has lots of places for people to go and check out. It doesn't feel like you're in a facility. They do balloon volleyball. They do one-on-one sessions. They have conversations. They bring in pets. It's $7000 a month. For that, she should be in a five-star hotel with a butler but in comparison, I think it's decent value for the money. It's quiet, peaceful, serene, and caring.

We toured Market Street East Lake for my sister. It was very clean and very nice. The room is gorgeous. The staff was very informative and very diligent to our needs. She provided a ton of information. She was, I believe, the assistant nursing director. And then I've gotten follow-up phone calls with one of the nursing directors herself, Dawn, who's just been a wealth of information. We spoke specifically about end-of-life being able to happen on the grounds, and that was positive too. She even stayed with us throughout the whole tour. She answered everything and took us on the tour. They have wonderful grounds. My brother-in-law pretty much said that's where my sister will go, and I don't need to see any more facilities. That's really how nice he thought it was. The activities wouldn't work for my sister, but they just went through a myriad of activities. They took us to a bunch of rooms that were available for individual activities and group activities. They spoke a lot about the other stuff, and even showed us some of the games. There was even an event TV that just listed everything available each day. It was amazing. If someone were in a position to be able to do all the activities, it was fantastic. I didn't eat the food, but I saw them preparing it and stuff and the setup, and the place where they were eating. My brother only said it was the place because it was so close to where they live right now. So, he could go there often. And it was pretty wonderful. It was very pleasant and very comfortable. It was somewhat modern, more modern than I thought it was going to be. One thing that stuck out with me is the room where she would have been. It had a TV out front that would constantly do a rolling display that you could put on family pictures and stuff.
