My mom was in Accentia for a period of time in rehab because she fell and broke her ribs. She’s back home now. Accentia worked with us well and everything seemed to be in good order. Of course, my mom had to be in the locked down section because she was trying to escape and all. However, everything went well for her there. Accentia was well staffed. They had lots of people. It was clean and it looked like it was regulated well. The staff was great, considering what they had to put up with and the nature of the business, I thought they did quite well. They had activities like karaoke and rehab of course. They had a gym and a hair salon. They could put money into their account so they could go spent it there. They had dances and all kinds of activities. My mom complained a little about the food because she was used to home cooking. But from what I saw, the food looked okay.

Accentia was clean, and the staff's work ethics was satisfactory. The accommodations were exceptionally small, and the food was good. They have a rehab center although my dad wasn't able participate in anything except for rehab. I would say overall it was good. The biggest issues were the tight rooms. It was very small to a point that it was uncomfortable to move around.

Dad was at Accentia Health and Rehabilitation Center of Tampa when he was still alive. We were familiar with this facility because my grandfather also passed away at this home. The administrative staff was excellent. By the time dad was there, he was not really mentally capable. He was in the wheelchair and they would move him around into different room to listen to music, but he really wasn’t able to do anything or participate in anything.

This nursing home/assisted living facility was ok. There was not alot of parking (the parking lot was crowded) so it makes it hard for you to visit your relatives. The staff seemed ok. Not friendly and not mean, just regular. No one really went out of their way to help us. Compared to other facilities that I have been in, it was pretty clean. I wouldn't say that it was super clean, just better than others that I have visited. I saw many who were distressed. This is not necessarily the staff's fault. There were just many people there that needed help and needed love from family members. In general, I would never put my family member in this facility. However, I do not think I would put my family members in any facility. I would rather them live with me before I put them in any other place such as this one.
