I am very impressed with Family Extended Care of Sebring. The memory care is very clean and very well kept. They have a very superb staff and my aunt likes it there. Her room is very nice. Maintenance is very good. They have a TV area, an area where people go and socialize, movies that they play on Friday nights, popcorn, fellowships, and all kinds of stuff.

Family Extended Care of Sebring is very clean and neat. They have a very caring staff. Ron is excellent. The building is older, but it has been redone, freshly painted, and has new floors. It's a very nice area. The dining area is lovely. It's going to be close to my loved ones' primary home so their friends can visit them. They offered the services that we needed.

Family Extended Care of Sebring was a very, very nice facility with very, very nice people. I really liked it. The only problem for us is it was too far from my home to be convenient for me to visit my mother. I seriously considered that facility. The guy during the tour was super nice. The rooms were very nice. We discussed food, and it sounded quite adequate, but I did not eat or see a menu. He had a very full activity calendar with very nice activity choices. I was very pleased with what they were offering, both on a physical level and on a spiritual level. If it had been closer, it would've been a definite choice.

I toured Family Extended Care of Sebring. I went earlier than the scheduled one, and they saw me right away. I love that facility. If I was going to go into assisted living, I would have gone into that one. It was one floor, and when you're older you just like that, especially if you're going to have a small animal. I like that place, and they saw me without even having an appointment. I saw their menus and they had alternative menus. I saw people eating there, and it looked like they had a really good chef on board there. I didn't really see what they were doing with their activities because it was so early in the morning when I went. I like that the ceilings were high. The food looked good, and the staff was really friendly. They had activities, and the staff was showing me all the different activities they had, but I didn't see them actually doing it. The person who gave me the tour, I think he was the manager of the whole place. The facility is very clean.

Family Extended Care of Sebring is clean and has a lot of activities to keep the residents going. It's comforting to know that my husband is there. They have a Facebook page, so I can actually see pictures when they have activities out in the foyer or in the lobby. Plus, they do a lot of community stuff. When I went in there one time, he had a Bible study, and he was sitting there watching. The staff is wonderful. If I see anything wrong, maintenance takes care of it immediately. I have not run across anybody that wasn't very friendly. They told me everything I needed to know. They are great. The facility is beautiful. They have a separate garden that's all close-in where the memory care residents can walk out.

My husband is in Family Extended Care of Sebring because they have memory care attached. He's going to assisted living, but when the time comes that he'll have to move to memory care, I didn't want him to move from one facility to another. I dealt with the administrators there, the building itself is very clean, and it doesn't smell. The rooms were all basically the same when you're at a certain level or price range, so it's adequate. They have a list of activities that they do, and they have somebody that takes care of that. They have outside walkways and a screened-in area where you can sit outside. The facilities themselves were nice and clean.

My dad is going to move into Family Extended Care of Sebring. When we arrived there, it had been remodeled. Everything was new and fresh. They had baked cookies and bagged them for their patients to come and get them. Also, they had different flavors of water. I'm talking about like in a glass pitcher, and they had cups there. They were friendly. It was immaculately clean. The memory care unit was also immaculate. I knew when I walked in, it was the right place. It just had that feeling of home, and we're just so excited to go there. They showed us everything. In the memory care, there are no appliances in the rooms because of the danger. They have a courtyard. It's in the center, so there's no way to go out. Of course, the doors are alarmed. If anyone opens a door, that will sound an alarm if there's not a code. It's very safe. My dad can't get out, and he does have a courtyard. The staff was absolutely great. Any question that I asked him, he was able to answer. We are very happy to take my dad there. It's absolutely beautiful. They just remodeled, and it's immaculate. It is beautiful.

I really liked Family Extended Care of Sebring, but they were just more expensive. We liked their dining room and the way it was set up. They had one room that we were thinking of getting. It had a patio so we could set up a little table and sit outside in nice weather. It was built in a circle and they had that courtyard in the center, and all the residents could go out in the courtyard during the daytime or in the evening, which was nice. They're very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious. It's very clean and has an open and friendly atmosphere.

Rooms are small and everything is outdated you get what you pay for here. The smell is bad in the whole building and even some of the residents look dirty. The staff don't seem to be friendly or care about the residents. You can hear them speaking about the other residents and that's unprofessional!! I will be moving my family member out of here and hope this place gets a good deep cleaning for those that can't afford other places up the street or maybe they will get closed down. It's a shame to see health care providers not care about others. Where's their compassion

I had a tour at Family Extended Care of Sebring, and I think that's the direction we're gonna go in. The place was clean, and it seemed to be well taken care of. The administrator gave the tour, and he took all the time we needed. The tour was good. It's just what we need. They have a recreation director that seems to do a lot of things like bingo, barbecues, and stuff. They had a nice dining area, and they had a place where they could go out in the courtyard with the oak trees. It's really pretty.

We weren't thrilled with Crown Pointe of Sebring's appearance. We didn't see too much of it because they were kind of in an uproar that day. They had some meeting and everything was out of order. It wasn't the kind of place we wanted to be in. The person during the tour was quite friendly, but kind of dithered because of what was going on. The dining area was small, it was clean enough, but it didn't have nice tables and chairs.

Crown Pointe of Sebring was alright. It's clean, and the place is attractive, although the grounds could use some work. The residents were either not visible, or very quiet. I think they stayed in their rooms and there weren't a lot of activities. They showed me what they call an apartment, but it's really a studio. It's one room with a divider that goes all the way to the ceiling between the bedroom and sitting room. They play bingo and there's an activities room, but there wasn't anybody out, and no one was doing anything. I also saw a library, but there wasn't much in it. The staff we talked to was very good and helpful. She gave us a lot of information.

Crown Pointe was beautifully designed. Half of the place was for people on lock-down, and the other half was for the residents with physical problems rather than mental. The rooms were sizeable, which they can modify however they need. The staff was very helpful, very good in explaining things, courteous, and gave me plenty of information. The residents can decorate their rooms; I usually see pieces from their crafts projects. The overall look was very peaceful with the muted green color. It's totally clean and lovely, and the staff was efficient. They also had lovely gardens, and the rooms had nice views. For those who were able to walk around, this would be a wonderful place.

Crownpointe service is excellent. When mother bumped herself or when she fell they immediately called me and they took care of her. She fell in the bathroom and they immediately called the ambulance. They thought she broke her hip. Mom really likes the food and everybody seemed to like it too. They have a little area where they sit and watch TV and give them snacks. She is in a locked down facility because she wander, that’s why they are watching her very carefully. The staff is very caring and the place is very clean. I am very satisfied.

After 10 days my mothers engagement & wedding ring went missing. Due to arthritis it must have been difficult to pull them off. Take care to count watches, rings and jewelry (possibly fillings too). Crown Point actually very unhelpful and had to contact police. After 68 years rings are now gone from my mothers hand.

Crown Pointe was a second choice for my Mother as the other facility was not ready for her at the time she went in. My Mother has lived there for 16 months now and it has become a first choice all the way. Mother has Alzheimer's disease and she started out in the Cottage wing for one year. She now resides in the Alzheimer's unit and is happy. The staff on both sides of the facility have always been helpful, kind, and considerate of my Mother. I visit her most every day so I see what they do for her at any given time of the day. From compassionate caregivers to managing staff, they are all wonderful. It is a great family atmosphere. Yes, my Mother does have a cell phone and I can talk to her anytime. No, they do not have internet but perhaps that is something that is coming.

My mother had been in another regular assisted living facility in Highlands County, however, due to her dementia, it was time for a secure unit. I can tell you I visited every facility in Highlands County with a memory unit and Crown Pointe was exceptional! My mother is very happy and I am happy with the individualized care she receives. They check her every hour throughout the day and are right there if she should need anything. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great place for their parents. They have a regular assisted living side and a memory unit.

My mother has been placed in Crown Pointe for almost 3 months now. I must admit the nursing staff is nice though services and activities they provide are much lacking. There is no internet access or service so for get about being able to communicate with your loved one if you do not live local other than by Snail Mail. The residents as far as I have seen are unable to have cell phones and can not call out. There are also NO portable phones at all so your loved one will have to either be moved to or walk to a phone that can be as far as all the way across the unit or as far as to the front desk. It makes me mad that they do not offer internet access as my mother and I are used to using my computer watching YouTube videos and keeping up with other friends. I find the lack of internet access to be very sad since every place we went looking at before the state took over and placed my mother in Crown Pointe had full internet access and also hosted Skype Calls to family members that live out of the area and can not visit often. Nothing against the staff that have been quite nice to me but in my view, I would totally keep looking for an other place to move them in. Now I have the job of taking the state to court to get my mother moved now. Wish me luck.
