My 96 yr old mother has lived with us for the past 16 yr but recently had 4 falls and 3 hospitalizations in past 3 weeks. Margaret Conti is the best administrator and stood by me when I changed my mind 5 times from respite to permanent living and she always returned my calls or texts with in a few hrs! She is by far such a wonderful efficient professional administrator who truly cares for the residents and their families! We moved my mom there Monday and can't say enough for Dahlia all the devoted staff the delicious meals and various activities they have for everyone! There are 4 different seating areas plus one in the front entrance to sit outside and 3 inside along with bus trips to stores and mystery bus rides! Some of the residents were so kind telling us they welcome my mom! We would highly recommend Pelican Garden to everyone!

My husband was previously at Pelican Garden. The place was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. They do have activities like they go shopping, but he was not able to do that.

Pelican Garden was great. The manager lady was very helpful and the staff was very pleasant. The place was clean and they were good to my mother when we went in. We were all scheduled to go and even when we cancel out they were very nice about it. Good rapport and call us whenever they need us. What impressed me most was the smallness of it; everybody got personalized attention. There were activities for the people. My brother lives within a couple of miles.

Pelican Garden Assisted Living had really nice rooms. They seemed like a good facility but their rooms don’t have a separate kitchen area. It’s open, and the activity room is more open, as well; mom is looking for a little bit more privacy. I thought the staff seemed very pleasant and very nice.

We're very pleased where we have my father-in-law. It's Pelican Garden. They're wonderful. I would certainly recommend them to anybody. They have sing-alongs, bingo, cards, and movie nights. The rooms are large, and everybody talked very highly about the food.

Pelican Garden was very nice -- not too many people -- and the woman in-charge for 12 years was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to run the place so that everybody was happy. It was quite isolated from downtown, but nice otherwise. The rooms were of very good size, very well maintained, and the bathroom is just excellent, but I didn’t like that they have artificial plants; it was ugly.

My parents are on the waiting list of Pelican Garden. It is very nice and clean. The woman in charge is very patient, easygoing, thorough, and nice. One thing we like in there is that you don't pay more for care or extra service. Once you have your monthly, it will not go up as you need more care. There are no surprise charges later on. The rooms are very large. It has a very nice bathroom with a walk-in shower. However, there is no kitchen in the room. They are not allowed to use any major appliances. They can have a little refrigerator in their room for snacks, but they don't want them using stoves, and since my mom has dementia that's a very good thing. They have their meals prepared for them. They also have transportation for doctor's appointments and things like that. They also have a beautiful outside area where they can go sit. All around, we are impressed.

My husband is at Pelican Garden. It is close to home. The facility has a 50-bed capacity. It's not too large and it's a very clean place. The room size is just right for us. The staff is very friendly and works very hard. A little more staffing would help them though. The food is very good and the dining room is nice. Everyone has his/her own place at the dining room. I really like where the facility is located and its being close to home.
