My mother was in The Springs the past two plus years before her passing. The staff were always kind and helpful upon our weekly visits. She had a nice clean room, quality food and plenty of activities if she chose to do them. The front desk when you walk in was always friendly and helpful. Karen the business manager very helpful in anything we needed. They conducted quarterly reviews with is always trying to keep us posted on any changes. Social services through access Florida rep Kathy was so kind and helpful through this whole process. I just want to than all the hard working and caring staff at The Springs. My mother was treated well and I am very grateful for the nursing staff and the management at this facility.

Currently, my husband is in rehab at The Springs at Lake Pointe Woods. I think they're trying hard to have activities for the residents. They serve ice cream every afternoon at 2:30, which everyone seems to love. The grounds are beautiful. I am allowed to take him outside to sit and look at the lake and the ducks there. The food, I think, is okay. They seem to take good care of my husband. He has to be changed, and he uses diapers. And I've stood there and watched, and he doesn't have any bedsores, so that is good. I don't think they change him as often as he should, but with 119 beds, it's a little hard to do it every two hours. It takes about 45 minutes, but I think that's probably about par to have somebody come in and change him. Yesterday morning, the lady cleaned him and last Friday they gave him a real shower, which is the first shower he's had since he had surgery. He was laughing and the staff was laughing, so those are good positives. Their activity director also reached out to me to ask me what they could do to help my husband and what interests him. As for the nurses, they are probably great, and the CNAs have not been rude. Some of them don't speak good English, so it's a little bit hard sometimes to communicate. My husband doesn't do much of anything with regard to activities. He doesn't like to watch TV anymore, and he has a hearing deficit. But they have arts and crafts each day and they have music groups come in. So I think they provide activities if the people want to participate.

My mother was in Springs at Lake Pointe Woods, and I wouldn't recommend that place to anybody. I didn't care for the nursing staff, especially one nurse that was there, although some of the CNAs were good people. My mom sat there for an hour and a half for somebody to come and take her to the bathroom, that's what caused her to get a UTI is just sitting there. When we went to her, she was lethargic and just crying, so we made the decision right there and then to take her to the hospital. The head nurse there was awful, she was belligerent, and if you asked her questions she got very defensive. What they need to improve was their nursing care, but the physical therapy people were wonderful. The food was terrible, and they put her on restriction fluid, which she didn't need to be put on, and it was a bad situation. It was an older facility. It's just not the nicest facility.

My dad is at Springs at Lake Pointe Woods. It's very nice, very extensive, and extremely clean. The staff is excellent. He gets physical therapy, and they have different levels of therapy that they can give their residents. They have a fitness room, a barbershop, and a beauty shop, I believe. He likes the food and says the food is very good.

My mother in law has been a resident since this morning. She fell and a nurse was overheard saying, "maybe we should just leave her there." I'm researching a new place already!

BEWARE, DO NOT COME HERE ! Terrible experience. My fathers hand was FRACTURED by a CNA with rough treatment while being transferred from his wheel chair to his bed. Also they over medicated my father which caused him to go into the hospital. They never took responsibility for their errors. DO NOT GO TO THE SPRINGS!

My mother was a resident of The Springs for approx. 4 yrs. The facility is very inviting and well maintained. Most importantly, she received excellent and loving care from the entire staff. She had been in 3 other facilities as a rehab. pt. over the past yrs., before becoming a resident of the Springs. This was, by far,the best care she had ever received. On her last trip to the hospital, three different individuals commented that they could tell she had been well taken care of. Our family feels very fortunate we found her last home there.

My Mother has been at this facility for a little over a year. She came from another facility where she obtained a severe rash, had severe swelling of her legs, had pneumonia on more than one occasion and we moved her to the Springs due to our concern of her care. Since being at the Springs, she no longer has a rash, has never had pneumonia and her legs are no longer swollen. Her overall care is much improved. There are loving nurses, staff and dining staff that has made a very positive change for my Mother. Thank-you Lake Pointe Woods...PeggyAnn

My family member was cared for well there. She had no complaints about the staff or her medical care. The facility was clean as was her room. The grounds were nicely landscaped. I visited her while she was in physical therapy and the therapist was amazing. He encouraged her and found a way to motivate her without letting her give up too easily and without pushing her too hard. Her primary complaint was about the food. She said that it was bland and tasteless. From what I was told, it was a common complaint among residents. She did lose weight while she was there but that was in part because her meals and snacks were regulated by a dietician so she could not sneak as many tasty treats as she did at home! We were able to bring her food from outside the facility.

Clean, professional environment. The Springs has a well-educated and responsive staff that is reliable and knowledgeable. The facility has great tools and a gym for rehabilitation, and maintains their equipment to a high standard. Although, the rooms and hallways are basic, the Springs features great amenities including a beautiful dining room overlooking a very nice lake, a mini-golf course, and a living room that's good for mingling. All in all, the Springs is a respectable facility, and the care is top-notch. Convenient to stop by for visits with the family, the rooms are large enough to accommodate family gatherings. Most importantly, your loved ones will be well cared for by a thoughtful staff.
