I am the daughter of an out-patient physical therapy patient. I am an out-of-town daughter who has had the opportunity to accompany her on several visits. I was very impressed with the individualized and dedicated, 1:1 sessions. The therapist assigned to her is with only her the entire.

I am an out patient physical therapy patient. I have been to other physical therapists, and they cannot compare. Here I am assigned an expert therapist who is with me the entire session offering encouragement and critique. New exercises tailored to me are devised as I progress so I am continually challenged.

The rehab at Pines of Sarasota was great. The staff was very friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. They were concerned and very helpful. My mom has a private room, and it was nice. It’s an older facility and has been around for a while, but it’s clean and comfortable. The food wasn’t as good though. The physical therapy and the OT were excellent.

The Pines really knew their patients and cared for them, and I was impressed. They put the patients' needs first. I'm very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone needing that level of care. They had good views from their windows. The food was good, and they only repeat their menu every two months.

The Pines was clean, and they have friendly people and staff. It was a nice place. The rooms were not really big but adequately sized. I saw people sitting and eating. The dining area and food looked appealing, but we didn’t stay long.

My husband is at the Pines of Sarasota. Where it is located is good. I like it. Is it the best of the best? No, but it is OK and it is fine. At the moment, he is there because he has ALS and they wanted to help and take care of him because I can no longer take care of him. There are a lot of good positives about it, but I am researching others that might offer some other care, i.e., care things that might be helpful to him such as physical therapy and occupational therapy. The people are nice and friendly. It is a good place and I am not complaining but I know that there is some other out there that I wanted to research and further go because, with his particular illness, it is not just an old aging thing, he has got ALS, and I want to find the best care for him.

Pines of Sarasota is a very large situation. The campus is very large. They have assisted living, nursing, and Alzheimer's unit. I have a friend there, so I go back there often. The nurses and the assisted nurses seem to be very kind and very caring. They take good care of the patients. They are very patient and treat them very nicely. The apartments are very clean and well repaired. They take very good care of the building as well as the people. The small ones are small, but you can get large ones. It depends on how much you are willing to spend. I don't know what activities they have, but they have them.

Pines of Sarasota - Therapy and Rehabilitation Centers have very nice living conditions. I know people on the board of directors there, which was helpful. The price was helpful, and it was very clean, very nice. Everyone was very accommodating. My mother has a lovely two-room suite. The dining room is lovely.

When first entering the community you notice an erected wall surrounding it and a gate house to prevent unauthorized entrance, giving the impression of being very safe. The amenities were beautiful and the whole area had a very serene and modern look to it. The staff of nurses and care takers were knowledgeable and very friendly. The interior of the buildings were relatively modern with some outdated kitchen equipment, the paneling on the ceiling however needed upkeep. Overall I was very satisfied with my visit.

The Pines of Sarasota is a not for profit facility that offers the best care for seniors whether they need assistance or not. The facility is just beautiful, and the staff is so kind, and they are available 24/7 providing the perfect amount of attention so seniors can still feel some sense of independence. The facility constantly offers projects and events for the seniors to participate in, keeping them busy which is a very good thing. The facility even offers Alzheimer/Dementia care and rehabilitation, both of which are well known for being fantastic programs. The rehabilitation program specializes in wound care, pain management, and palliative care. The staff is always on top of everything, it is very clean, nice, home-like, and it's reasonably priced. Most importantly, I think the facility provides a sense of comfort for the families of the seniors living there, you just know they are in safe hands at Pines of Sarasota.

My father is a resident of the Pines of Sarasota and everything is wonderful! I chose this facility because it's very economical, it's a non-profit, and it's been there for 63 years. It's highly recommended by all of the health workers in town and everybody else I ask. It's all nice and clean there. They keep adding new parks and it's wonderful. If you have to have a room mate, the rooms have a wall in between. It's very good as opposed to some nursing unit with just curtains. The staff are amazing. They respect his privacy but they take care of him and his needs so it's all pretty good. My dad is very happy there. He hasn't even used his wheelchair since he moved in. They have a lot of activities there but he's not a very social person. He reads book and started reading more. This place is definitely recommended.

I have alwase been impressed with the staff and facilities at the Pines. My grandmother has been there about a year now and has nothing but good things to say. They have kept her busy and attended all her health needs. The facility is beautiful and the staff are all well trained and friendly. I'd rather care for my familiy myself but I realize the limitations I have when dealing with the unique health concerns seniors have, so I'm glad that I found the caring people at the Pines. They really answered all my questions and went out of their way to help with the transition from home to assisted living for my grandmother, and even for us kids. Sarasota is a great place for the facility also, most of the year is sunny and warm with the beach only minutes away.

The Pins is the best assistedliving/Rehab/Nursing Home facility in Sarasota. They are the most affordable and certainly very caring. I know of this facility personally because several friends from my mobile home park have gone on to be admitted there.

Pines is a not-for-profit Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facility with a strong focus on high quality care, resident comfort and good relationships with families and friends. It began as the County Home with 6 homeless residents 50 years ago and has evolved into one of the premier care providers in the elder care community in Sarasota. Pines also manages two thrift shops in order to assist with rising costs. The people and facilities are first-rate! I served on its Board of Directors for 6 years but stepped off two years ago.
